"Ah-" Malodore nodded, sending a wave of reassurance to Riley before turning to the others. "Si, we should assist Red as well, while some of us go to locate Jericho. I, ah, would prefer to locate Jericho, as he may require healing beyond what the bells can provide, but..."

Sammy was thankfully quiet durable, an extensive series of scars, battles, and bad choices had proven the ghoul was well capable of taking a hard hug. She wiggled her nose once at the tentacle, before offering a slight shrug.
"Don't know yet... we'll find out soon enough I guess..." With Canon untangled she looked next to Red sitting in the snow working at the grapples in her hide. Looking at Canon with a face of 'back in a minute' she moved towards Red.
Very carefully she approached unsure how the professor would act considering their current relationship, standing to the side where one eye could focus her better she looked up at the beast beside her.
"Those hooks.... they aren't exactly the nicest thing for you are they?" She frowned a bit, a ping of sympathy in features as she watched Red dislodge another. Before holding up her fleshy right hand, "Would you like some help...?"

Roch stopped, hearing Riley's voice. With a shrug--since he hadn't found Jericho anyway, he turned and headed back, summoning his guitar to stand in front of Red. "I got healing and I'm a passable guard," he said. "I'll stand guard here." Then he looked up at Red curiously. "Y'need some help with those hooks?" he called up to her. "If y'want I can help pull them out or somethin'."

Christof accepted Calder's help up, his leg pulling through the snow to reattatch on it's own, albeit rickety. He glanced in the direction of the massive snow arrow before nodding to the Kelpie.
I will follow Mistress, he silently reached out to the Mindflayer. He was worn and tearing at the seams, but he still had some good fight in him, and a healing Fear move left up his sleeve.

After the student was carefully put down, Red continued to work on the hooks. As the little morsels addressed her, they were each in turn met by a steady stare before she returned to her work, using the tips of her large claws to not-so-gently pull the hooks out and drop the unneeded tool down and aside.
The behemoth stopped what she was doing, lifting her head to continue gazing off towards a smudge on the horizon. She looked expectant as she continued to ignore the students clustered around her.

Calder expected that response, and shifted before laying down and looking at Christof. "I mean.....only if you want to." He seemed a little eager.

There. Roch, and Sammy - what mattered was that they weren't rushing off to leave the professor alone. She knew exactly what could happen, if they did. She knew, and strived to avoid it. For as much as the professor had already sacrificed today, she wasn't going to let her sacrifice any more.
Tell me if something changes. The voice filtered into Sammy's mind, alone. If you need us. Anything. You tell me, immediately. She turned, the edges of her clothing soggy with wetness, and started to storm towards the direction the arrow pointed. She knew others were coming. She felt the brush of Christof's mind, reaching out to her, looking for an answer. She wished she had one - all she could tell him was that they had to tread carefully. She knew something was waiting for them that might need help, or heals - or maybe even a fight. What she didn't know was whether Jericho would be waiting at the end of their road, or not. And that was the only question that mattered.

The vial remained in her pocket. Shehk tucked her hand into her jacket and wrapped her fingers around it thoughtfully, looking towards the skyline where Red was staring, her lips tugging into a slight frown.
So what happened next?
She didn't press or ask. It seemed everybody wanted to know just that - but the thing was that Shehk didn't care to know anymore.

Red only looked at her. She couldn't really read the look, but it was the same look every other student got just before a few more hooks where tossed to the ground. For a while she just watched until Riley reached to her mind.
Turning to face the mindflayer she offered a nod, Head towards the woods. Find him, bring him back. We'll be here. With that final thought offered to the flayer Sammy moved to collect the hooks and rope, carefully coiling them up and being sure to avoid the tip of the hooks themselves.

And, at that moment, Malodore turned, softening a bit as it spotted Shehk. "Do you want to come with us?" it asked, quietly.

Slowly looking from the sky towards Malodore, she frowned. "Why?" she asked back, a small note of pain wavering in her voice before she steeled herself up again, ears flicking back

It was nerve wracking to see what Red would do now that she had no dragon to wrestle, but she merely began to remove the hooks that were on her body. It was clear to Astra that she needed help getting them out. Riley and Christoph were going to check on Jericho, so there was no point in her going along as well. "I'll help you get them off Professor!" She announced, flying around to her back were a few of them were still in bedded in. Finding one such hook, she hovered over the edge of it, grabbing at the robe (she remembered Red mentioning the end was made with insanity and not to touch it), and began to pull.

"To retrieve... well." It bowed to her. "It is your choice, and I shall not think less of you, whichever you would rather do." It thought it understood some of her reaction, based on how some people had felt - still felt - about Riley. Still, it was worried for the pricolici...

Shehk took a deep breath.... then shook her head. "I can't." she answered. "Not this time. Not again." She clenched the vial in her pocket so tightly she almost thought it would break.
"Not anymore."

Roch stood there, just watching Red closely, making sure she didn't look as if she was going to turn on them. Helping her was all well and good--but keeping them all from dying was more important.
"Be careful," he said to everyone. "All of you. It might seem like it's over, but we ain't sure until we're all back in our regular forms and back at school."
