Kaosujin Ryu Bwah ha ha...should happen soon..like she goes outside for a moment and that's how they get her....oh I already have it all planned out in my head... Constance glanced over Merrick's shoulder and smiled when he said her cake was out of the oven. She wrapped her arms around his neck, hugging him. "Thank you," she said softly. "For being you." She kissed his cheek and took a step back. "Now go get some proper clothes on and I will let you have first bite." Constance winked at him as she walked around him and bearded towards the kitchen. ------------- "Me either," Cassandra said with a shake of her head and stood from her chair. "I think I am going to change into some normal clothes now." She grinned at Lorcan. She walked over to him. "Think I might get a breath of fresh air afterwards. You could join me outside in let's say...an hour? Only if you want to."

Merrick allowed a roguish smile to flash over his face. He'd discovered a very interesting trick while changing and chuckled softly as his form simply faded away as if it hadn't been there at all. The truth was, since he'd finished speaking to Constance, he hadn't been there at all. Even as she'd told him to get dressed, he'd actually already been doing that. "What's wrong, surprised?" he said with amusement as he half-leaned against the counter, clad in black sandals, a teal tee shirt, and black jeans. He knew it would startle her, though he noticed the same undergrad chef looking his way with interest, though regardless, he wasn't interested in her at all. Lorcán cocked his head before a half smile flickered over his face. He strode swiftly out of the room extremely faint tendrils of stream following after him.

Constance's eyes widened when she saw Merrick already in the kitchen waiting for her. A slow grin spread across her face as she walked up to him. "Pleasantly." She reached up and brushed a finger lightly through his hair. Constance didn't pay any mind to the underchef. "Come, let's get a piece of that cake."~~~~~~~ It hadn't taken long for Cassandra to change and brush out her hair. She hummed softly to herself as she exited the building. She walked around the yard, waiting for Lorcan to join her. A small smile spread across her face when she heard something behind her, thinking it was him. As she turned, Cassandra was knocked to the ground. Above her stood a man with long, dark hair, his eyes black as coal. She knew those type of eyes... Her hands shot up, shooting a wave of energy at him. As she did so she was hit from the other side. Her vision swam as she felt something snap around her neck. "Pick her up. Let's get out of here before the others arrive. One is all we need for now." A man said. "Ah...a coven leader! A precious little find...Let's go..."~~~~ All the coven leaders gasped and stopped what they had been doing. Amelia had been going over scrolls, Merida had been reading a book and Carolyn had been lying in bed. They could all feel it. Something had happened. Cassandra...CASSANDRA!!!! Merida thought loudly. Somehow she just knew it had something to do with Cassandra. "Crap!!" Merida growled as she burst from her room. She hurried to Lorcan's, pounding on the door. "Lorcan!!!"

Merrick inhaled sharply as if punched, standing straight sharply as his gaze snapped to the south, behind Constance. "Something's happened to Cassandra.. I sense four other than her," he said sharply. Unknowingly, his deep real eyes were slitted and narrowed as his haze locked onto Constance's. His eyes widened fractionally as a thunderous boom followedas he felt a simultaneous pulse of energy in his gut, unaware that he'd hit the demons'getaway van with a lightning bolt from the storm. Lorcán tilted his head as he hooked a pouch he hadn't used in years to his hip before his muscles tensed sharply as he sensed the demonic auras. He exhaled before a momentary flare of steely gray light tilted around him. He knew Merida would immediately fell the difference in his aura as he jerked the door open. "I already sensed them, though why they're here is troubling enough," he said. He noticed her facial expression moments later add his eyes narrowed. What few knee about him was that one of his talents allowed him to act much like the magical equivalent of a radar. He could sense any magical being within roughly a two and a half mile radius. His hands tightened into fists add he spoke, already moving at a full sprint yet breathing easily. "They have Cassandra," he said sharply.

Kaosujin Ryu Merrick's thing is the same as your last post... "Yes, I think so," Merida said as she hurried after Lorcan. "She isn't answering." How could they have gotten Cassandra? She should have been able to deal with any demon..with anyone really. Amelia rounded the corner, Nala a bit ahead of her. "Cassandra...they have her." Her head tilted to the side as Carolyn came to a skidding stop behind her. "How the hell did demons get in here?""The only way..she must have been outside," Carolyn said with wide eyes. "The wouldn't have been able to get to any of us if we were all inside."~~~~~ Suddenly Constance gasped and doubled over, an arm wrapped around her stomach. "Merrick..something's wrong." She gasped. She was breathing heavily, her eyes squeezed shut. Flashes of random people appeared behind her eyes and she shook her head. Then she saw a flash of Cassandra. "Merrick..something is very wrong...we need to get the others..."

The van swerved and flipped several times. "Damn it!" The man growled as they crawled from the van. Luckily the magic that had been put around it protected them from the worst of it. He reached in and pulled out Cassandra, who was still unconscious. "So much for that getaway. Don't know why we even bothered." He grinned at the others and they disappeared in a puff of smoke. ~~~~ Constance stumbled from the kitchen as she went in the direction that she sensed the others. Her stomach was still in knots and she groaned. "Something...something's wrong..." She collapsed on her hands and knees in front of the others. When she lifted her head her eyes were stark white. The air in front of them shimmered as a scene began to form. Constance's eyes were fixated on it. ~~~ Cassandra sat in a chair, bound by chains. A thin, silver collar was around her neck. A man stood before her, long black hair trailing down his back. "Tell me where she is," The man said in a soft, cunning voice. It was velvet smooth, seductive. "She had to be close. So many of you in that building. We could smell you. Now you will let us in. My father wants the girl, and I plan to deliver. My sister may have hidden her daughter well for all these years, but no more. Take down the barrier."Cassandra lifted her head slowly to look at him. "I won't. You'll have to kill me first."The man walked around her and touched her shoulder. A thin line of electricity shot from his finger and into Cassandra, making her jerk. "Terrible isn't it? Not able to use your magic to defend yourself. These collars are of great use to us. Makes your powers dormant. That way we can kill witches easier...""Then why don't you just kill me already," Cassandra gasped. "Oh dear, I have other plans for you." The man laughed as he shot another bolt through her. Cassandra jerked and was still. The only thing to show she was still alive was the steady rise and fall of her chest. "Damon, what plans are those exactly," An unseen person said. "Breeding. She is a very powerful witch. Imagine the children that would produce. And they would be within our control." Damon chuckled as he knelt down and examined Cassandra. "I can smell another on her.""As can I." Damon said as he stood back up. "He will come in search of her. And then he will die. No need to worry."~~~~ The scene shimmered and disappeared. Constance shuddered as her eyes closed. "What the hell...just happened." She groaned, unable to pick herself up from the floor. She had never experience anything like that before. "We...we have to get her...we can't leave her with them..."Merida cursed as she slammed her fists into the wall, making cracks in the stone. "We need to move fast before he has a chance to do anything else to her."

Alede OOC - I just had an idea; what if Cassandra was close friends with Kasumi and Merrick's godmother, hence his strong reaction to her kidnapping since he knows of that fact because she was the one who convinced him to come to the city and eventually run into Alicia and Merida. Alicia jerked, a low hiss of anger slipping from her lips as she slapped the corner, skidding to a stop a few paces behind Amelia and Carolyn. Merrick was standing several yards behind Constance, his body shuddering slightly as he visibly restrained himself. His slitted teal eyes narrowed, the color deepening as a sense of feral anger surged in the air. He saw several of the witches who had darted after Merida, Amelia, and Carolyn flinch back, almost falling over one another as a low growl escaped him, faint lavender and dark blue flames of energy flickering around his hand and wrist before growing slowly to encompass his forearm as his foxish ears and tail materialized, the single tail splitting until six tails swayed behind him. "If they think they're going to hold her for long, they're in for a very rude and brutal awakening," he said in a low voice, his voice deepening into a rumbling snarl on the word 'brutal'. It wasn't that he was angry.... no.... he was pissed. Lorcán stumbled back as he felt the killing intent from Merrick, recognizing it for what it was. He could see the visible aura flickering on the male kitsune witch's forearm and sensed that anyone who went near someone the kitsune male regarded as family was in for a very dangerous surprise. Though I am curious why he's reacting so strongly for Cassandra's sake... does he know her? he thought. His eyes widened upon seeing not one, or two tails... but six. He knew that each tail a Kitsune gained, they became much stronger. From the research he'd managed to find, those with two tails were twice as strong as those with a single tail, but those with three tails were five times stronger than those with two. Gauging by that increase, he has grown much, much stronger. As I recall, four tails and higher are roughly twenty times stronger than the tail rank below them... so that means, if I'm right, then he's as much as forty or possibly... if it's exponential... four thousand times stronger than he was before, he thought, inhaling sharply.

Kaosujin Ryu sounds like a good idea to me..and I was thinking that the collar on Cassandra won't be able to be taken off by just anyone.....a demon will have to do it...So Constance could end up doing it. Constance took a deep breath as she pulled herself to her feet. She had waved away Merida when the coven leader tried to offer her assistance. Her eyes rolled back in her head and when she opened them again they were the dark, deep red. "They have one of you...which one...?" She looked around and sighed. "Cassandra...since I don't see her here. I felt it when the collar was snapped on...we all do when a collar is put on a witch.""Rosaline," Amelia stepped forward. "How do we find her? Constance..she created some sort of image in the air to where we could see who had Cassandra.""An image in the air?" Rosaline said slowly. "Constance has gotten stronger. That wasn't an image. It was a portal. She connected to someone...Damon," she breathed softly. "Figures my father would send my brother. She needs to concentrate to open another portal to them. When she does, then you guys can step through. She will have to stay behind to keep it open for you to get back through the portal.""Thank you for the help Rosaline. I know it can't be easy." Amelia said softly. "One other thing...the collar cannot be taken off by a witch. Only a demon can remove it. There are four holes...one in the front, one in the back and one on each side. A small drop of blood is all that is needed in each hole..." Constance's body shuddered as she closed her eyes and leaned against the wall. "Ugh...splitting headache." She groaned as she held her head in her hands. " It happened again..didn't it? What did she say?"

Alicia spoke through gritted teeth. "Where is my aunt?" she said quietly. Kasumi sighed, her dark blue eyes scanning the bleak obsidian terrain as her arms tensed, the thick black chains rattling. "If you think Rosaline's gonna be stupid enough to hand over her own daughter, you're in for a shock, and I have no doubt.... you'll be more than bleeding when it's over," she hissed at Damon as he slipped out of a tunnel nearby. She was chained by her wrists, shoulders, hips, and thighs to the hard stone. Her canines were slightly longer than average, but it was the only sign of her true nature as a very powerful Kitsune. Merrick hissed, covering his eyes as thin trails of crimson leaked from the inner corners of both of his eyes; he didn't know much about his Kitsune blood, but he sensed instinctively that what had just awakened was something extremely powerful. What he had never told anyone was that he had some more... unique talents. He made it a point, however, not to solely rely on those talents. He knew how to hypnotize with a glance and dispel illusions, though he had a feeling what was now awakening was far more powerful as he felt a sensation as if someone had poked red hot needles in them. He inhaled shudderingly as his eyes slowly opened to reveal that his normally deep amber-gold slitted irises had changed to a deep crimson color with an odd design within them. Lorcán blinked, hearing Alicia's voice; he knew there wasn't much that made the normally cheerful and friendly witch angry, but when she got angry, her magic grew denser and stronger much like a tsunami.

Damon looked over at Kasumi. "Of course she won't my dear. Rosaline is as stubborn as the rest of us. But that is no matter. Constance will come to us in the end. When all has been taken from her...she'll come to us." He smirked and shook her head. "I need to go check on our other guest. Excuse me my dear."~~~~~ "Demons," Merida hissed as she looked at Alicia. "Cassandra went outside for a moment and they ambushed her." She ran her hand through her hair as she looked over at Constance. "The vision we saw...it wasn't a vision. Somehow you opened a portal. That is the fastest way to get to Cassandra. I suppose you connected to a family member, Rosaline's brother. You need to concentrate to try to connect again so we can retrieve Cassandra. And you must stay here to keep it open so we can get back."Constance sighed as she slid down the wall, sitting on the ground. "Then I guess we had better get started." She sighed and closed her eyes, trying to figure out how to connect with a relative she had never met nor did she ever want to meet. She had always liked to meditate so it didn't take her long to drift. Merida bit her lip as she saw Constance shaking slightly. The girl was using too much power too soon. If she wasn't careful she would wear herself out. Her eyes widened when the air began to shimmer and became big enough for them to get through. "Go," Constance gasped. "I don't know how long I can hold it..."

Alicia's eyes narrowed, their sky blue color deepening to midnight blue. Kasumi snorted, holding back a laugh. "Dumb a**, you're stupider than you look if you think that... if Constance is anything like Rosaline... then she'll be more than happy to put her foot up your a** and make you her boot," she said sarcastically. She could sense her son, but couldn't tell how strong he was with these dampening chains on her. Merrick stepped towards the portal, his eyes wary before he turned to Constance, slipping a necklace around her neck. The gems almost immediately started glowing, bolstering her magic reserves as they were able to hold large amounts of magical energy. He pushed off fluidly, disappearing through the portal and landing in the dusty cavern in a low crouch, his hands flickering behind him before he drew a dao from a sheath at his lower back. "Haven't had a reason to draw you, Kou-chan... but now, someone thinks they can harm our family and mate," he whispered. Almost the moment he finished speaking, the edge of the twenty inch long dao broadsword blade rippled with golden electricity up to the tip. Lorcán blinked as he noticed the necklace and sensed the magical energy within it as Merrick slipped it around Constance's throat. There's enough magical energy within that necklace alone to match a third of the Dark Coven's total magic, but... he thought, gasping as he realized it was from Kasumi herself; he was sure Kasumi had planned at least most of what had happened thus far in one form or another, though how was unknown to all but the Kitsune witch herself. He blinked as he noticed Merrick leaping through the portal; he had a feeling that there was some connection between Merrick's strong reaction to the kidnapping news and Cassandra, but couldn't figure out what it could be.

Damon just snorted as he left and headed to where they were holding the witch. He hadn't expected to capture a coven leader. Before they had been able to fight off the demons, or die trying. The older generations knew how to sense and spot them, but it seemed the newer generations lacked some of that ability. ~~ When the necklace rested around Constance's neck she let out a sigh of relief. The pressure had lessened. Now she would be able to keep the portal opened longer. "You three go," Amelia said as she motioned towards Lorcan, Merida and Carolyn. "I will stay here with Constance, make sure she is okay. Just be careful in there." Her gaze followed Nala as she jumped through the portal as well. "Nala will help you guys.""Right," Merida said with a nod. "Let's go get Cassandra back Lorcan, Carolyn." She walked swiftly, jumping through the portal. As she landed on the other side, she crouched down, ready for an attack but none came. Carolyn's face was grim as she walked towards the portal. Normally she would have waited for Lorcan to go first, but now she was pissed. They had taken a coven leader and were using some blasphemy to hinder her powers. She stepped through the portal, landing near Merida.

Alicia looked annoyed, but remained next to Amelia, silently deciding to keep guard as well. Kasumi growled, jerking the chains again before she heard a low popping sound as one of the links popped in half on her right arm before a faint smirk flashed over her face as her dark blue eyes bled to a brilliant golden color with slitted pupils as her arm jerked, the link snapping as she felt a magical pulse not too far away as her right arm was finally freed. Merrick cocked his head, his eyes narrowing before his hand snapped out, a momentary pulse of magic the only warning before the top of the tunnel several yards away simply exploded, the rocks collapsing to block the tunnel. "Let's get her free quickly," he said coolly. Lorcán blinked at the sudden and violent blast of magic, though it was only a momentary pulse of magic. He nodded, pulling a four inch diameter serrated chakram meant to shatter chains out from his pouch and flicked it with a snap of his wrist from his hip at the chains before it rebounded and deflected off of the wall, snapping the chains holding Cassandra's ankles together before rebounding again into his hand.

Nala came running back into the tunnel, blood dripping from her mouth. She hissed as she face the one open tunnel that led into the room. Many footsteps could be heard coming their way. She spun around quickly, spatting. Somehow a demon had snuck past Merida and Carolyn to get to the portal. Merida spun around quickly, but before she could do anything a bolt shot from the portal right into the demon. It sent him flying across the room and pinned him to the wall. He screamed in agony as his flesh began to smoke, and soon he was nothing but a pile of dust. Merida whistled softly. "That's some trick..."Cassandra groaned as her head rolled back. When she opened her eyes they seemed glazed over. "Lorcan," she said weakly before closing her eyes again. Carolyn gasped and spun when she saw something shimmer in the corner. A ghostly figure looked at them with sad eyes. "You must hurry," Rosaline's voice wavered. "They are coming, a lot of them." Her gaze turned to Merrick. "I can't take care of my little girl, but you can. Keep her safe for me until I can be free from here." She then turned to Lorcan. " They drugged her with something. It's enough to last another day or so. Unless you can use magic to get it out of her system. GO NOW!!" Her voice echoed through the room as she disappeared. Carolyn was the first to see the demons appearing in the tunnel entryway. She lifted her hands and a bright wall of light blocked it off. She could hear them screaming with rage. "To the portal!" She said frantically without looking at them. "I can't keep this up for long."
