In all the bustle, with the fire and the painful hits, Amarus didn't even get a chance to retaliate against the last Hunter who had attacked her-- it stung quite a bit, in fact. Tired, but still in good enough health to keep on fighting, Amarus targeted a nearby Hunter with a rather impressive weapon.
Unfortunately, distracted by having managed to misplace Faustus and Olivia, she was too busy looking for them to connect solidly, instead merely placing herself near the Hunter for perhaps future attacks.

Table scraps? He was wielding a giant meteor hammer - a weapon that had taken him a long time to learn how to even kind of handle, and was an ancient and revered weapon - and she was just calling it table scraps? While she threw a freaking shoe?

Yeah, no kidding. At least Candace was setting up barrier daggers. He could definitely appreciate that.
Feng was shocked by the sudden appearance of another opponent and the kick to the shin. He flailed a bit, attempting to retaliate though he was a bit frazzled by the new appearance, and failed to hit him at all. Jesus. Deryk had been a little disoriented from the warp into another glyph room. It looked a lot like the one he had just been in. Only less destroyed. The mist hunters were here too! He might have said hi to Molly and Candace, but right now there wasn't really any time. Things were looking pretty bad in here, especially since it looked like another heir was in here. Maybe it was time to bring out the fire. Yes. This sounded like a great idea. The death trainee quickly brought out his runic hand torch and set it off, setting Tooley on fire. Great, she was focused on Invictus. Snarling, Aksaja took another swipe at the Hunter, trying to draw her attention away. With his hidden blade set ablaze.. albeit kind of weakly, Deryk went on to try and fend off some of the attackers. With a screech, Julian landed in the middle of the fray. He saw Aksaja, but figured the dragon could, at least for the moment, handle himself. It was this golden ghoul Julian was worried about. She seemed to be taking it a little hard, and he hadn't seen her before, so his first assumption was either a first year or a guest. He hissed at the male hunter, eyes narrowed. A million things went through his mind, hundreds of things he could say, but he knew better. Words were lost on these things.
He lashed out with the claws on his hands, charged by all the fear still left in him from the first time he'd encountered the hunters. This was his chance for some retribution.

Chaos happened. Somehow he didn't get hurt. Somehow.
"Amphi! Darling, please be careful!" The snake barely had time to yell before Thanatos directed her at one of the hunters who had just arrived in the room, and she headbutted him in the stomach while mainly coiled around the reaper's shoulders and arm.

Amarus did not appreciate being startled, especially given the Lotuses had thoroughly put her off her game. Never again. It was better for her not to experience that kind of mind-numbing bliss, if she needed to be battle-ready at all. The sheer frustration of having been assaulted so often over the past little while, and by so many, finally snapped her. Amarus folded her hands into Rin, and with a series of light jabs, attempted to damage the Hunter. She did not like being surprised, and perhaps the shock of it was enough to clear the lotus fog out of her mind.

He hit the Hunter again. And once more for good measure. West hadn't really meant to knock the guy out. When they were knocked out, they couldn't fight anymore. But, yeah. That had sort of happened. West turned to Auri and gave her a half-assed thumbs up. She'd been the one he had been trying to keep alive earlier, or so he thought. She-she had knocked someone over! The human girl didn't seem to be getting up, worrying the ghoul for a brief moment of what damage she could have possibly done with her small shove.
But, this wasn't the time to think about such things and besides.. the hunter had been attacking them so this was all pretty much justified, right? Olivia took a shaky step foward, away from where Sydney lay. Quickly she looked about, a smile resurfacing when she spotted Faustus so near her and Amarus on the move.
And then Amarus attacked. Olivia did not like her friends attacked. Balling her fists, she frowned - yet still did not look intimidating in the least - and made her way towards her new target --
-- and... tripped on her way over. Wow, she was not doing well this round, was she.

Deryk soon found himself being attacked by three of them in return. And quite frankly, he was really starting to wear down. Granted, he didn't have a lot in him after the previous room. Ah, Amarus was here too he realized, with several others he did not recognize but could guess were probably also prospectives she'd befriended; had they not been in the middle of a harrowing battle, Mort would've told her how happy he was to see her socializing more - certainly a step up from the mostly monotonous version of her he'd conversed with in the beginning. He' shave to tuck away that message for later as they were busy taking on that b*****d who had stabbed Aisa before.
"Go get 'em!" he shouted both to her and Herryk, looking for a freezer target. Espying the demons going at it with the chain ball and, well, unable to ignore the ghoul's shout about it, he tried firing off a bolt of energy at the hunter.
