 Nadia smiled in relief. "Good, because I am pretty sure we'll have to kill him after the war. He's no good to us like that. Well, not once we get what we need." She continued following his trail, occasionally swearing when it became difficult. "Still," she continued her thought aloud, "I can't help but be amazed at how far he can go - and how fast..."

"Fine," he said with short temper, "You come with us. But one wrong move and I'll tear you apart before you can blink." Thomas straightened out of his attack crouch and jerked his head behind him. "We go this way. I am looking for a hidden gate to the kingdom of the ancient ones. Have you seen it?" Thomas watched the stranger closely while keeping alert for any sounds of Nadia and Trinity.

The Ancient ones? Orion looked quizzically at Thomas, I haven't been in Ravenheart for centuries but I recall them regarding their ancestors as, for lack of a better word, extinct. This is all very interesting, can't believe I roamed that blasted desert for centuries, so much time wasted! Orion was deep in thought. Oh! Where's my manners? I am Orion Maledict, well met. he gave a small bow, Now... It seems you were deliberately outpacing your friends over there, do we wait for them or continue?

~{Trinity Aurora}~  Trinity ran swiftly as she kept pace with Nadia. "Nadia, according to my father's book there is a gate located here in this very forest. I believe Thomas will be going there so should we just head for the gates and wait for him or shall we just simply keep following his tracks." Trinity didn't want to think about Thomas's death but of course she knows he cannot die. On the bright side of his death, he won't be a vampire he will be able to stay home where he belongs as he said to her he has been absent from his home for sometime.

Orion said over his shoulder as he jumped into a sprint with leaves flying into the air and his cloak snapping behind him. Its not far, though living in the Badlands might have altered my perception of distance...*** They reached the clearing where Orion had fought with two vampires, Strange... One seem to have survived, he said deep in thought while staring at the scene. There was one vampire on the ground laying in a pool of its own blood, and few feet away a patch of ground stained dark red with a trail leading from it. Well the good news is he went in the direction of the gate, the bad news is we might be expected. I really doubt it got that far though.

"We'll wait here for my companions. I'll need to bring you to my superiors afterward. What are you called?" Thomas began to pace, feeling uneasy. He couldn't quite place where his anxiety was coming from.

"We'll follow the trail, just to be on the safe side. I don't know what his junked-up vampy brain might be thinking, so I can't afford to give him that luxury," Nadia spat angrily. "Honestly, at this point, he is more of a liability than anything. We may as well just kill him; thrust him into the sun and be done with it. He's lucky he's got so much cover here," she muttered darkly.

It's terribly boring over there. No matter, my name is Orion Maledict. Orion gave another small bow. We'll just have to see about any superiors..Tell me, you seem to be fighting vampires alongside, and have only been changed recently, do you suspect they'll treat you any differently after you've served your purpose? Or after they've seen you in your first blood-hungered rage? Just a thought... My own existence is rather important to me you see. he eyed the evidently nervous Thomas.

"Vampires are vile," he snapped, "And as soon as the war is over, I will end my life. I can't expect you to understand much, you who know nothing of the war. Why should I remember your name when the fate of this world is hanging in the balance?" He began to pace even quicker. Eventually, two women entered the clearing panting - Trinity and Nadia.

But as you wish... Orion watched the two women as they entered silently. He was good at hiding in plain sight and almost went noticed. Wonderful! Our company grows! he smiled, and turned his attention on a rather odd looking weapon one was holding.

~{Trinity Aurora}~ Trinity came out of the bushes as Nadia and her broke free. She was panting as it felt like they ran for hours but it was merley a few minutes. Trinity looked at her hand as it was bleeding from a cut she got ffrom running. She didn't notice it until now. Trinity stood up straight as she noticed Thomas wasn't alone. "Seems like Thomas made a friend." She moved closer to Nadia.

Thomas hastily introduced Nadia and Trinity to Orion. "He agreed to help us find the gate. And so he has... However, he's still a vampire. We need to keep a close eye on him. Once we are in here, we will need to seperate into pairs. Nadia and Trinity, it's best you two pair off. I'll keep an eye on this one. We will meet back right here at nightfall. Wait only one hour. If the other team hasn't shown by then, leave and report back to camp." He took a deep breath, drawing in his powers. He forced the fire through his veins and shoved it from his fingertips into the enchanted barrier. The clearing was briefly thrown into sharp relief before the fire died down and the gate slowly opened.... Topic locked.
