The damn thing was throwing Debris everywhere - and Candace!- and Cass knew she had no reason to move in closer. She knew how to use Nicodemus to her advantage, and this was one situation in which she simply knew to plant herself, aiming the gun with one hand and pulling the trigger with absolutely no flair involved.
"HEY!" she called out, trying to draw attention to herself. She'd gotten a blow in, did she move now to Candace's aid? It looked like the Lambs were alright with moving in with their weapons, but she needed to make sure to keep to a middleground in this matter.
Don't get too close, lure it with distance.

The yeti had charged in, striking out; it had caught Candace up and thrown her, and Jordan winced, seeing her hit the wall. He might still be angry at her, but personal conflicts were for off time. As well, Ferros was incensed that the yeti had simply ignored them, and Jordan couldn't help some degree of irritation that they hadn't been able to slow the thing down at all himself.
There was a swarm of people attacking the thing now, and Jordan waited, tense, until he spotted a space in the crowd; then he rushed the thing, swinging again for the hind legs. They'd take the damn thing down.

The Yeti's mouth split open to flash countless sharp, curved teeth, spittle and hot breath pouring across Candace's face. It felt good to scream. And Yetis were very good at it. When the yell passed, he caught himself, panting as he stood over her and for a moment, an odd look of rage and anguish flickered in the black eyes encased in white fur. Something blasted into his shoulder and before he could figure out what to do, a familiar hammer came crashing down on his leg. A fresh roar of pain, and the creature lashed out with an arm, just missing Jordan before rushing past Before to grab the desk behind him. Effortlessly, the equipment and table alike were swung, launched across the room directly at the person who had SHOT him! HP: 25 Target: Cass Damage: 4STATUS EFFECT - UNEVEN FOOTING If your weapon requires you to be close to your target to attack, subtract -8 from your roll to account for the amount of debris in the way. If you have a long-ranged weapon (such as Bix's bow or Gale's gun) and do not need to move, your hunter is not affected. If you are unsure, consider this: is your hunter moving anywhere? Yes? Then -8 from the status effect. If you're standing right behind the golem and attacking it, then yes, still roll -8 as the act of attacking can throw you off balance at any moment.

Rin stumbled about on the uneven ground as she tried to swing Byr at the yeti, missing completely in a flourish and twirl. Then spun around backwards. Barely catching herself.
She may have missed, but at least she didn't land on her a** this time.

Well, she'd gotten the attention from Candace, but not in the form she would have liked! Cass's eyes went wide for a moment as the desk and table suddenly came flying in her direction.
Cass did something that actually seemed counter-intuitive, but to her it made enough sense, moving in with Nicodemus to block the thrown furniture with the blade from traveling with her body, hissing in pain as it sent both of them sliding back, then the table dropped to the floor, the trainee dropping down to pant, her shoulders screaming in agony.
That had hurt, but her purpose had been served - to keep anybody else from getting hit with it.

Nearly DROPPING Hadjoc, Mercedes leaped when Candace shouted orders to the small group, and nodded, racing alongside them to find herself... very unsure what was happening. It was all so white, and all she could hear of the monster was it growling and groaning like any horrible beast would. With little hesitation she brought up both halves of Hadjoc and winced as she pulled the trigger, unsure whether her "delightfully cooperative weapon" would have any sort of knockback. With luck, it didn't seem to fight back too much and she giggled to herself... a sudden SURGE of adrenalin coursed through her and she scanned the area to assure her comrades were not being destroyed to death. hp: 40/40 dmg: 6 charge: 1/3 target: Jerryeti

Poker face. Poker face. Keep a poker face. But Candace couldn't help but gag a little as the yeti drooled on her and breathed hotly onto her face. Its breath smelled..strange. One would expect a yeti to smell of death and decay from eating things and not taking care of its teeth, or peppermint because it was a Christmas creature. But no it...it smelled..off. She couldn't place how. Oh god, those teeth were not a good thing to see in her face. She caught the look in its eyes and fumbled over some more debris. What the hell was that look?
The others got its attention off her and she sighed with relief.
"Be careful of his arms! His fists are more capable than they look!" Candace called out, running after the yeti to jump onto its back and kick one of Atropos' sharp blades hard against its side.

Rep watched the yeti go from one woman to another with a distant sort of satisfaction, still rubbing life back into his numb limbs. But he had a duty to do, one he hadn't forgotten, he had sun's honour to uphold and he damn well intended to try. Hefting Tracey again, he sought for footing on the wrecked rubble that was strewn in the room and took a swing at the creature.
It was a glancing clip, but at least it connected.

Gale very nearly tripped over a piece of debris.
"There's, er, no need to call me 'sir,'" he said, a bit pink in the face as he leveled the gun again, narrowing his eyes to peer through the telescopic lens. There was a loud bang as the rifle went off, the bullet whistling through the air and colliding point blanket with its target.
<< Feisty creature, isn't it? >> remarked Jinhai.

As the Yeti rampaged through the facility, the doctor frowned at the now empty cup of hot cocoa. He'd rather like another one, but then he'd have to call Clarice to make him more. His assistant had been in something of a snit with him lately and not allowing her to play den mother on this little outing with the wonderful Aria had the blonde sulking something terrible.
Of course he could always go make something himself, but then he'd miss the show. Fortunately, the Life leader had once been a boyscout, and thus, was always prepared. Reaching into his jacket, he pulled out a small flask, chuckling as the trainees stumbled over themselves and each other.

No no no no he could feel the body crumbling, flinching back as several more arrows pierced their way into his shoulders. He had to concentrate. Target the new recruits. Think clearly. But he couldn't. All it took was seeing her face, and the mission was all but forgotten. His chest hurt, moreso than the feeble ax-blow, but that moment of hesitation was all that hateful woman needed to leap on his back. The Yeti howled, arrow-quills clattering as he tried to rear back to wrench her off, but the hammer had left his leg crippled and it buckled under him. Both fists slammed back onto the ground to catch himself, but by then it was too late. She swung around from his fur, a bladed kick cutting deep into his side, tearing him open. The innards that suddenly were outards were strange, pale and almost translucent as ice. Keep a grip... abort... it hurt... couldn't breath... Candace why... The pod reacted to his mental command and his consciousness was whisked out of the golem before the final gun-shot crumpled the thing into a massive pile of ice and snow in the middle of the room they had just spent so long tidying. * * * In the pod room, Jerry threw himself forward, landing on the floor heavily as he gripped his stomach and was, unfortunately, sick on the clean floor. A labtech's attention was caught, but he wove them away. He still had to finish the mission. He could... he could do it. He gagged again. That had been really close. It was just in his head. He was fine. His side was not torn open. He did not have several new piercings, but his shoulders stung and his leg throbbed in a distant, terrifying phantom memory. He spat on the pile to clear his mouth. One more Golem. He'd clean up when he was done. One more golem, he could do it. He leaned back into the pod, already exhausted. One more Golem... in a little bit. He could recover, first. His hands were shaking again as he lifted his flask, eyes closed as he quickly emptied it. Jerry was almost ready to take a short power nap when suddenly a blurr of something he had spotted amidst the chaos came back to mind. A hooded figure casually sitting and watching. He was there too... Yeti #2 - DEAD Status: Feeling gloomy and sore and tired, but still ready for one more go.

Candace gasped as she was sent to the ground after the yeti crumbled apart. She found herself lying in snow instead of on the ground. Halloween creatures dissipated into FEAR and left no traces behind, there had been no snow left behind by the creatures from Christmas...
"Snow..?" Candace picked some of it up and crunched it in her fist, tossing it at a piece of debris and watching it fall apart. Yeah, it was snow. She frowned, standing in the snow and kicking it around. "...That doesn't seem right. The creatures that attacked Deus...did any of them turn into snow when you guys killed them?" Candace asked everyone, more specifically the people who had actually handled the creatures. The presents didn't...only their snowmen did. But those were snowmen. Something was wrong here. Candace cast a suspecting glance toward Aria and H before she stepped away from the snow, allowing Atropos to shift back into ring form.

Molly yelped as the creature kicked up some debris at her and the hunters who were close (oh the irony). By the time she was able to get her footing again after she stumbled back, the creature was vanquished into…a pile of snow? The young woman rubbed her head, de-summoning Vaska and made her way over to Candace, hopping across the bits of debris carefully. She didn’t have an answer to the Mist’s question, but that wasn’t her concern right now. “ Are you alright, Miss Candace?” She asked worriedly once she came up to her, and seemed to be looking her over for any thing that might need a first aid kit. Before hadn't expected the Yeti to move as fast as it had. He thought the thing had missed him when it lunged for the Misty but it became apparent that the creature was after the desk behind him!!! ********! The equipment!! Before tried to make a desperate lunge for the runic equipment but his efforts were in vain as the debris and the hulking mass prevented him from reaching any in ********. <********> <********>
He'd failed half of the Life Mission's task already. Brows knitted into angry furrows as he brandished his weapon, ready to take out his anger on the creature except the others had gotten to it before he could. The gear would have been saved if the other Lifers had already done something about it! He would have shot an angry glare at Robert and Clerise except he was just the assistant here. He was a Misty pretending to be a Lifer and was taking second-string.
This just made the frustration build up in him. There weren't any other viable targets to vent out on. And it wasn't in Before's nature to verbally chastise anyone in front of groups. One on one would have been different. He would have lashed out the way he had with Candace.
"You hurt?" he asked Sasha, his tone unusually clipped. Before had learned in his pre-Island days that he would never win against a group. So he swallowed the building frustration and decided to save it for the training fields when they got back. Or maybe he could bake it away, that sounded more like a practical thing he could do.
Oh silly Before, Vanna sighed, It's all downhill from here.
He shook his head at his partner's idle comment, deciding to focus instead on the question Candace posed, "The things we fought at the Haunted House ended up dissipating. Is being in the North Pole affecting the FEAR? Or is the building with its runic wards doing the cause?" His question was directed to everyone as well but mostly to Candace and Aria. Before was ignoring H as best as he could.

Rep didn't dismiss Tracey this time as the yeti went down hard, once bitten twice shy and he wasn't about to be taken off guard by anything else. Still, he was damn glad to be in out of the snow and was looking decidedly rosy cheeked as his skin collected payment owed in pain.
He moved back to lean on a wall in the lull in the chaos, keeping fairly low profile lest the grand high b***h tried to send him on some other ******** errand. He fought the urge to make some additional snide comments on twitter only by virtue that someone might crash his fun again.
At the very least, he was amused that the yeti had possessed discerning taste and went for the most vulnerable looking humans present, all women.
