eh. i hate cantonese with a passion.... but i understand it almost fluently
i speak mandarin and taiwanese (hokkien), language is smooth and calm <3

I only know a little of my native dialect... (台山話) xp
But I'm gonna try to learn either Cantonese or Mandarin...probably Cantonese since it's closer...

i know some cantonese... some. i know a little of mandarin and failed once on a test. crying at least i still now some chinese. biggrin 3nodding

Of course I can speak Chinese lol My first language was Cantonese after is Mandarine after is French and after is English...I started learning Mandarine and the writtings since I was 4 years old but I'm not that good in Mandarine tho...well I still can understand most of the things heh heh.

I can't speak, understand, read or write Cantonese sad
But I can understand, read (a bit), write (a bit) and speak (OK, but not the most confidently in the world) Mandarin. My first language was Mandarin. I left china when I was 5, so currently my Mandarin= a five year old's sweatdrop .
