Mot smiled warmly, a soft tint of red dusting his cheeks at her words. Hel was a wonderful friend to have. One he never wished to take for granted.

"I'll make that promise too. I'll always come when you call, Hel."

Ugh, there were those moths in her stomach again.

Hel grinned lightly regardless, giving a firm nod of her head. “It’s a pact then.” She affirmed. Creating bonds outside of her family…it was a wonderful feeling. Knowing that someone else had her back, and someone else she could work towards growing stronger with. Hel was content at the moment to dance along in silence for now, hanging onto the nice feelings.

A pact. They would always have each other's backs. Always be there. A strong bond, made of trust, respect, and caring. It gave Mot an idea of sorts. With a moment of silent dancing, he came to a decision.

Soon, Hel would feel a small object in between her palm and his. He slowed their pace, bring their joined hands in front of Hel, pushing the object toward her. "Words are a strong enough pact, but I think this will speak loudly for me, in case you forget that I meant what I said."

He lightly forced her hand open, to reveal a gift, just for Hel.

Freya was forced to leave her food. She was very unhappy about this - for all of a minute. Her mood lightened as soon as she felt his hands on her body, and his lips against her cheek. Her eyes fluttered when his breath tickled her ear, but she sobered up just enough to reached up and cup his face with her hand gently. She rubbed the pad of her thumb against his jawline, before slowly turning his head towards Mot and Hel.

Her own glance was a side-glance, as stealthy as possible. "That is what's going on, baby boil." She whispered into his chest. "Them."

The reaper was pulled from her musings as she felt something press against her palm, and blinked curiously. Someone have a button come loose? The ghoul slowed her pace as Mot directed, blinking once more as Mot moved their hands towards her, and she was about to protest the claim that she would forget, when he lightly forced her hand open. Once again, any protest died on Hel’s lips as she just stared at the pin in palm. Mot’s pin.

Actions did speak louder than words.

Hel was stunned speechless as she stared at it, and eventually she was able to tear her gaze away from it to stare up at the cowboil, awed. This meant so much. Hel looked back at the pin, enclosing her fingers around it tightly as she pulled her hand away and brought it rest over her chest. She closed her eyes and concentrated for a moment before bringing her hand out, opening her fingers up, where in her palm, right next to his pin, rested one of her own.

Trade ya.”

Mot smiled fondly. Hel seemed so touched. He was glad, satisfied. He'd honestly thought that would be that. He hadn't expected the same in return.

So colour him surprised as he looked down thoughtfully at her reopened palm, resting beside his own pin was hers. His lips parted for a moment, before pulling into another smile, taking her pin into his own hand. He stared down at the pin in his hand warmly. "No one has ever given me their pin. Thank you."

Herryk watched Mot and Hel dance, his eyes narrowed. They seemed to be ... what were they doing? Standing as straight as possible, Herryk caught sight of the pins. His brows dropped as he turned back to Freya, looking befuddled.

"What are they doing with the pins, Freya?" He kept shooting the young reapers sideways glances, and those glances turned to full-out stares as Herryk wibbled closer with Freya in his arms. It was obvious the draugr was curious as to what the duo was up to. Why were they playing with pins when they should be dancing?

Being stealthy was no longer an option, as Freya rested the side of her face on the draugr's chest and watched her sister trading pins with Mot. She let out a long sigh, watching them with a dopey look on her face.

"They're tradings their pins, Herryk." She whispered in a hazy voice. "It's so romantics."

She rose her eyes up to the draugr, clearly smitten with the moment. "I thinks, maybe yeh were right after all, baby boil." Her smile grew into a dopey grin. "Maybe Hel will be as lucky as me, after all."

Hel just grinned lightly; enclosing her fingers around the pin she was given once more, fondly for a moment longer, before reaching to tuck the pin down the front of her dress for safe keeping. This was the downside of not wearing an apron at the moment.

Once the pin was securely tucked away, the song ended, but another started up. One of her hands was still on his shoulder, and the other was now held out as she waited for Mot to take it again. The youngest Brynhildr sister was still in the mood to dance! Luckily as well, she didn’t seem to noticed a certain draugr and valkyrie edging closer, trying to be nosey, as she looked up at Mot and waited.

Herryk wrapped his arms around Freya, turning his head so that his cheek rested on the crown of her skull. He stared at those pins, and he stared hard. So it was romantic to exchange pins? Why hadn't Herryk thought of that? It made him feel a little cranky. A little inadequate. Mot hadn't written Hel a poem. Mot just ... made a pin, and now Freya was all aflutter about it.

He snorted softly as he lifted his gaze to meet Freya's. Her words made him smile, but there was still a little twang of ineptitude that tickled in his gut.

Well, he would just have to present his pin to Freya in the most spectacular of ways. It would just take some time to think of the best way to do it. The last thing Herryk wanted to was to shove his pin at Freya right after Mot and Hel had exchanged pins. There was no romance in that, none at all.

"Herryk likes to look on the bright side," he mumbled, catching sight of Thor out of the corner of his eye. He hated that guy.

Mot pocketed the pin, then took Hel's hand again as another song started. For now, dancing with Hel would continue until his feet gave out.

He led the Valkyrie into another dance, smiling ear to ear.

He had no idea he was being watched.

"Herryk is the bright side." Freya let out in a laugh, her eyes now looking only at him. "Now, yeh shows me how well yeh dances, yes?"

Herryk's eyes were on Thor, so he would have seen the groom heading for exactly the last place Herryk would have wanted - directly for them. And that big, gloved hand rested exactly on the last place that Herryk wanted - Freya's shoulder.

"May I cut in?" The groom smiled casually.

Herryk's lip was already curling slightly when he caught sight of Thor making his way towards them. That curl morphed into a snarl when Thor touched Freya's shoulder. It was almost physically painful to watch Thor touch Freya, and Herryk fought the urge to rip that gloved hand off of his ghoul's shoulder.

It was even harder to speak in an almost-cordial tone.

"If Freya wishes to dance with Thor, then Herryk has no issue." He didn't want to come off as a punk. After all, they would be dancing in front of not only Herryk, but Sif, Valdis, Odin, Hel... and all of the guests. If Thor tried anything funny, nobody could blame Herryk for beating the ever-loving s**t out of Thor, right?

Herryk gave Freya a glance, one that plainly said 'if you don't want to dance, say the word' -- he would not give up his hold on Freya until she made the decision.

All the glow and happiness in Freya's face died when she felt that hand on her shoulder, and she instinctively pulled herself closer to Herryk, waiting for him to deny Thor..

But Herryk was too good of a boil to be selfish like she'd wanted. She slumped in his arms, and considered his words, and his glance. She didn't want to - it was clear she didn't - but she knew her mother was watching. She knew Sif was watching. Saying no would just let her win.

"Yeh knows what," She grumbled under her breath. "Fine. Yeh gets one dance, yeh p***k." She released Herryk, turning to stand with her hands at her side in front of Thor. She wasn't going to go so far as to reach out to him, after all, but she didn't have to. Thor's arms were all over her body before Herryk could say kick your a**, and he pulled her away for a dance.

He should have laughed in Thor's face. He should have laughed in Thor's face and then he should have swept Freya away. The look on Freya's face would forever haunt Herryk. He should have been a bigger man and denied Thor his dance, but that wasn't the way Herryk was built. It wasn't the way that Herryk functioned.

Herryk was now faced with a decision. He would either soon be overrun by a herd of sisters, or he could choose which sister he would dance with. It was a simple decision to make, as the last thing Herryk wished for was to dance with Fulla.

Allowing himself a moment to cool his head, Herryk started off in Sif's direction. She was the lesser of two evils, he supposed. Coming to a halt at her table, Herryk bowed at the waist before holding out his hand.

"May Herryk have this dance?"
