Liviana's head perked up excitedly at the mention of the new lesson. Her only other experiences with animals in the class were when she transfigured a beetle into a button. 'Bugs don't count as animals,' she thought to herself. Maybe they would get to keep the creatures after the lesson?

“He lives the poetry that he cannot write. The others write the poetry that they dare not realise.” - Oscar Wilde Nathaniel entered the class. Going through that last quiz almost killed him. Studying so much Transfiguration. He couldn't wait to put all that knowledge into practice again. He sat next to the wall, opposite the door. Nate just stared away at a piece of parchment he put in front of him. He pondered, wondered, daydreamed. A new lesson ? Great ! He was ready.

Amelia Frances Joan
Amelia hurried into this class. It was one of her favorites, and therefore she didn't feel any fear of being ridiculed for her absence. Walking to the front desk, she hands Professor Soul-Heart the work she missed. Flashing her a quick smile, the young girl turned and headed for a seat off to the corner. She was avoiding Ginelle and Nathaniel, simply because she didn't know what to say.Assignment Animagi are witches or wizards who have the ability to transform into one specific animal whenever they choose. What animal it happens to be is decided by their personality, character traits and inner nature. For most people, their Animagus is the same animal as their Patronus. Which would mean mine would be a fox, as it was when I managed a weak corporal Patronus. I believe it would fit my personality quite well. I’m a trickster, though I try to avoid trouble as much as possible. The fox is known for its cunning and I’m sure its wit, traits that I admire, and work hard to try and have.
Though after learning how to, an animagus can change at will with or without a wand, it is a very difficult to achieve the ability; only seven succeeded to be registered in the 20th century. Only the most powerful are able to do so. When one transforms into the animal, their brains convert into its size as well. The tricky part of the skill is to keep your own train of thoughts with the animal mind. Also, many things can go wrong while attempting to become one.
Because of the risks, it is required that all wizards must register at the Ministry of Magic. This process includes information that distinguishes the witch or wizard from other creatures. For example, Rita Skeeter, an unregistered Animagus, had markings similar to the glasses she wore in her human form. Unlike other shapeshifters, Animagi’s clothes transform with them. It is speculated that they disappear as a part of the wizard’s space, and then come back as the wizard returns to his natural form.
An Animagus is able to communicate with other, natural animals. It is unsure if they must be in their transfigured form. It is limited though, so it is unlikely that it is a verbal form of communication. For example, Sirius Black learned a great deal from Crookshanks and convinced her to help him. However, he did not know her name until he was informed by Ron, Harry and Hermione. Also Peter Pettigrew used the information from rats to locate He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.
A Metamorphmagus is a witch or wizard who are able to transform into anything. They are not limited to one animal like the Animagus, nor to transforming completely. For example, they have the ability to transform only their face or hair. Frequently, emotions cause automatic changes in appearance. It is a genetic ability, which cannot be learned sadly enough. Still if I was one, I would change my hair color, so it was more natural. I’d also make myself taller and to look older. I would give myself muscles to be able to protect those who are important to me and myself. And I would use the ability to sneak into famous places as an important person.
Lycanthropy is a shapeshifter forced to transform into one animal at every full moon. It loses its human mind, reverting into the aggressive form of its strain. They cannot stop the transformation once the moonlight hits them, nor transform when they want to. Their clothing rips with their shifting bodies. They are ferocious and will attack any human nearby, infecting them with their strain of Lycanthropy. That is the only way to get it. If a werewolf attacks one in human form, then the victim will have lupine tendencies but won’t transform. Because of this danger, the Ministry of Magic has attempted to regulate them. In 1637, they created the Werewolf Code of Conduct. They are stretched between the Being and Beast departments, with one set up to capture them while at the same time the other created a support group. Umbridge worked hard to implement the Restrictive Anti-Werewolf Legislation, which prevented werewolves to get a job. For years lycanthropes have been treated unfairly.
Thankfully, there is a recently created potion, the Wolfbanes Potion, which allows the lycanthrope to keep its human mind. Though it cannot stop the transformation, it keeps the witch or wizard from being dangerous. Though werewolves can die just like any wizard, silver does not affect them. Muggles believe this due to the purity of silver, and its association with the moon. Werewolf has too different possible origins. The first is ‘were’ meaning man with wolf at the end, meaning man-wolf. This is an accurate description. The second has ‘were’ as a form of wear, meaning to one who wears wolf clothing. naruto_jerich09 (( Can anyone give me a heads up? been gone with family for the past weeks. )) ((I believe we reviewed over Animagus, Metamorphmagus and Lycanthropes. Then we "read pages in the book" and answered questions about them. If you don't want to search for it within the thread pages, you can get them from the first page. Soul-Heart will post a new lesson soon, I believe.))

Melody Laurentia Hillyard
Melody entered the class and took the nearest seat. Hopefully, the class had not started as it was her first day at hogwarts and would want to catch up with the rest.

Drago runs into class, out of breath, and sits in the closest empty desk. He patiently waits for instructions.

Amelia Frances Joan
((Welcome! What to do is mainly up to you and Professor Soul-Heart. You can either go back and do the last lesson, or wait until the next one. I don't know which one she'd prefer. But I'll give you interaction to begin with.))
Amelia's corner had been chosen close to the door, in hopes of leaving before anyone else could catch her. It was a usually empty seat, as many preferred to be clustered near friends. That was why it was surprising that two, one after the other students, took their place beside her. She'd jumped at their presence, but a smile immediately grew on her face. She might be weird, but Ammy was always friendly. "Hey there," she greeted both with a wave, "I'm Ammy, you guys look a little overwhelmed; are you new?"

Drago looked at Ammy and nodded. "I never thought I'd be in a place like this. I mean, I've always known, (FELT) there was more out there, but this? I'm just glad I'm not alone anymore." Drago said with a big smile, glad to get that all off his chest.

Amelia nodded gravely. She knew what it was like to be alone before coming here. Or at least covering up her weirdness to make friends. "Yeah, you can be yourself here," She agreed, with a kind smile.

Drago was glad to talk but he couldn't help asking her the one thing that he'd been thinking of since flying lessons. "Hows your arm? I saw you fall and it looked like you were in really bad pain."

Amelia blushed, her hair falling into her face in embarrassment. "Yeah...I terrible at landing, my father would be ashamed. It's just so different from landing a craft!" she tried to defend herself, looking up at him. "My arm is amazing, with a few spells she set the bone, cleaned the cuts and got rid of the grass stain on my knees." She laughed, her knees clearly showing that wasn't quite true.

Melody nodded and after hearing what had happened to ammy, looking at her knees and back to her, she said, "Rest well, ammy. Feeling better now? " She was not really good at social interaction.

Drago looks her right in the eye, seeing her embarrassed expression, and said "You don't have to be embarrassed. I am deathly afaid of flying. Everytime I get near something that flys, I almost passout. My parrents had to knock me out to put me on a plane. And even profesionals have bad landings. I heard that a few years ago someone from Fifth year in Ravenclaw, who flew on a broomstick almost everyday of their life, had a bad landing and broke both his legs and two ribs. But I'm glad ho hear that you're ok." He started scrating his chin, a nervis habit he'd had since he was seven, hoping what he said had helped Ammy stop feeling embarrassed, because he wasn't good at trying to comfor people.
