Zane was in the shower by the time Trunks got home. End was by the fireplace (where the secret entrance to the Volcano is) napping. Epcor and Amelia were in Amelia's room looking at the treasures and making up stories on how Iori might have gotten a hold of them. Of course, the actual stories behind the acquirement of the artifacts were at Iori's place and both kids have heard them. The fake legends the kids were making up was just for fun.
The other kids were in their rooms, on exception of Morticia who had been sent to the criminally insane unit of the Southtown University Hospital.

Trunks finished getting dressed and headed downstairs to wait for Zane. He wondered if any of the other planets were affected as here and Southtown. He also needed to see if they had come up with a way to fix this. Fifteen minutes later, Trunks heard the sound of Zane coming down the stairs. All he needed now was for the sitter to show up.

Zane nodded, "Yes, that seems to be the only thing we are waiting on. A shame that even though I took great lengths to reach Rock at Sky High, he decides to be late. I informed him that this will be like a test of what he has learned at the school about becoming a true hero. If he fails at watching our kids, Trunks, then we can report to Principal Powers that Rock is destined, unfortunately to be a super villain and that your mother will eventually have to put him in the HFIL. I would hate for that to happen to Rock, but I have faith that Rock's heart is in the right place and that he will do a good job."
(Sorry for being away for so long. Bed bugs are hard to vanquish. More to the point finding someone to vanquish them is difficult.)

Trunks trying to keep an open mind said " He probably got caught in his studies. He did just join in the middle of their school year."
Just then the doorbell rang, Trunks went to answer it and returned with Rock. Rock said"Sorry for being late. Our lecture on elemental powers ran longer than expected"

Zane laughed, "And here I thought it was because you really didn't want to be here." Of course, Zane was joking, then he said seriously, "Trunks and I shouldn't be more than a couple of hours. Make sure the kids get into bed by 11 PM no later. Oh, and Rock, if you get bored, which I know that you might, you may snoop around in my study."

Rock said "Sure thing. You have a good time "he followed behind Trunks and Zane as they walked to the door. He waited til they were outside and on the back of the End before he closed the door.
It didn't take long for the End to arrive at the Steakhouse. Trunks got off with some help from Zane. They walked inside and were quickly shown a suitable table in the center of the room. Trunks picked up his menu.

It didn't take long for Zane to decide since he knew what he was in the mood for. When it was time to order, Zane used the ordering device in the center of the table to the precise. It was the latest thing and then the waiter was going to bring it out.
After doing so, he sat back in the chair and just relaxed. Despite the chaos that was happening, Zane felt like this was going to be one of the better dates that he's had with Trunks.

Trunks decided what he was going to have. He typed it in on the computer and wait. Trunks said " I guess we'll have a whole farm of eevees. I forgot i left an eevee there and Iori has been having Yumi to hatch them. Maybe they've come up with an idea to fix this chaos that's been going on."

Zane sighed looking at the busy restaurant then replied, "Perhaps, but, I have been doing some thinking of my own. It is related to what Mom and Dad have to go through now. Remember, they have lost Rock in their household, but we have lost Morticia. However, Trunks, I think in our situation, we had better be sure that it is just the fact that Morticia had gone to prison and not something else. We do know that things have always been crazy where we live, but most often because of duelists like yourself with the exception of an evil heart."
He had thought about when he had seen Astral flying past the window of his study and at first he thought he was losing his mind. He then looked at the table to his right and saw some fans who were admiring the fact that Trunks was there. They were giggling and talking in hushed whispers about the fame that Trunks had aquired and some rather harsh insults about himself as well.
Zane had gotten used to such talk whenever he was out with Trunks, but he had to wonder if Trunks heard them and if Trunks's saiyan half would lash out eventually. The aging dark-head knew that his wife was part saiyan and what the saiyans were capable of. It was unwise of anyone to try to insult them directly or to insult the ones that the saiyans loved for to hurt their pride would only provoke their anger.
Trunks is normally calm, that is true, but Zane knows that deep down all of that pain over what has happened recently, especially to Morticia, was just like the volcano they were sitting near. At any moment it would blow its top and all of the rage that came along with a disaster like that.

Meanwhile, back at Truesdale Manor, Epcor and Amelia were examining the treasures that Corrigan so graciously had donated to them when as soon as Amelia was holding an orb that looked like a snow-globe and Epcor was holding a neat looking wand that the whole place began dropping in temperature.
What was the ceiling, there were now clouds filled with snowflakes and the flooring no matter what the texture of it was before this, grew extremely slippery. Amelia's room was clearly glowing with some sort of elemental power, a brilliant white light was radiating from that area in the mansion.
The two children were giggling and whispering that Iori's treasures were better than ordinary toys because these toys actually do things that normal toys cannot. They already were wearing winter gear inside the house knowing what to expect. They only hoped that Rock loved the winter as much as they did because in a few moments, the whole mansion was going to be a winter wonderland!

Daxter seemed to have dug himself out of worse messes, how big could this one be for the human-turned-ottsel who had to avoid these nasty balls being thrown at him over and over, for being an ...animal.
He frowned, as he slung over his bug extermination weapons on his back as he made it close to the steakhouse and entered hopping up on the seat, ready to tell some crazy stories.

Zane felt Daxter jump up onto him, and reached to scratch his itchy leg, not realizing that the itch was being caused by something much bigger than an insect. When he grabbed Daxter, and Daxter bit Zane's hand, Zane threw Daxter across the room.
The ladies who had been gossiping shrieked, after all, they are no fans of rodents. Trunks looked at the floor where Daxter was trying to make a break for it, and laughed, "Oh come on ladies, this particular rodent you seem to be afraid of talks, like Alvin and the Chipmunks."
Zane gave a darting look to Trunks, "who cares if he talks, he bit me!"
Again Trunks laughed, "He was only defending himself, you don't grab critters by their privates even by accident."
Daxter hopped onto Trunks and Zane's table again prepared to tell the stories he had to tell.

*rubs the back of his neck* He placed the bug exterminator gear on the table with a plop as he made his signature moves "So there i was, Orange Lightnin fighting off the nastiest lurkers... of course... Jak helped... But I did most of the work..*
He took a swig of whatever was on the table.
Daxter muttered as Zane grabbed his private area. Not fun. OWWWWW! ....
Now there were a bunch of ladies screaming and two guys staring over him.
