"But how do we know that you're innocent? Isn't this just the sort of thing the attacker would say to throw us off their tracks?" Perlie frowned at Kasumi; honestly, she was a bit miffed at being put in the category of suspicious people, but more than that she was convinced that this was just another clever ploy from the culprit's side.

"All you have is my word and when the time comes, someone else will be attacked and you'll know it wasn't me who did it." Kasumi explained. "I've given you all the information I have to give and narrowed it down to six for you. I'm putting myself out there in hopes that I could save someone else from becoming a victim, but it seems I'll be going to the accused section instead. Either way, another victim will be claimed and you'll know what I say is true. I'm headed to one cabin one way or another, so why would I lie at this point? There would be no point at all."
The monsteress shook her head and sighed. "I'm through accusing. I have nothing left to go on and while I'm not accusing any of the six remaining, I know for a fact it was one of you."

Lumi bit her lip. Kasumi looked so defeated, like she was just waiting for the attack to come.
"I think I believe her." Lumidee managed to squeak out. Again, boldness! It took a few minutes of throat clearing to make herself actually speak words over a whisper. "If she was just trying to weasel out, she could have just said that Vic was the bad guy, since she was the one attacking her." A pause, while the hand at her chest fidgeted with tension.
"And if she was the beserker...well, Vic would have been in a lot of trouble. You saw what the horse and Betty did when they were attacked. I don't think she could just stand by and not fight back, even if she tried."

((Nuk's changing his vote to Perlie, unless Vic thinks otherwise.))
Nuk folded his arms across his chest loosely, raising his eyebrows as Kasumi, in what seemed like a last-ditch effort to get out of being creamed, jumped up onto a chair and announced herself (rather dramatically,) to be blessed with some sort of powers. Visions, she said, which gave them each colors, which would apparently mark their guilt. Which immediately made the skinwalker bark out another spiteful laugh. "Name's Nuk -- Nukpana -- but thank you for the dramatic announcement. And I hate to tell you this, but if your daydreams are telling you who's 'innocent,' they'd better be damn specific, 'cause I can tell you innocent isn't a word I've ever heard used in the same sentence as my name," he replied, skepticism practically dripping from his voice. Still, he visibly relaxed, rolling his shoulders a bit to untense his muscles. Despite his doubt, for some reason the anxious feeling knotted in his muscles had subsided a bit with the admission.
Lumidee's voice brought the skinwalker back from his reverie, and he turned his head to look at her, scoffing a bit at her. "I think she's battier than Dracula," he replied with a snort, rolling his eyes. She was, however, right -- Kasumi had been rather specific in what she had said, where someone trying to play a mole might not have. Eerily specific.
Tangled web. Extremely tangled web.
Staying silent for a few more moments, Nuk chewed his lower lip with one canine tooth, leaning up against one of the chairs, an elbow resting on the back for support. Finally, he glanced around at the others, addressing no one in particular. "I think we should change our vote. The berserker's gonna bump her off anyway, since she's a threat, why waste the time bumping her off ourselves? If the berserker doesn't bump her, she gets another chance to wait for her 'visions'..." he paused for a moment to make exaggerated quotations marks with his fingers before continuing, "...to reveal who's 'safe' or not. That is... if she can be trusted."
Again, there was a long pause as he let the idea sink in, allowing the other passengers to think about it. Not that he cared, beyond saving his own skin. Or skins, depending. No, he was changing his vote, regardless of whether the others did or not, but there was one that he was curious about the opinion of.
"What say you, Captain?"
Nuk looked over at Vic, quirking an eyebrow and half smirking at her, gaze questioning. Although he'd never say anything remotely as sappy out loud, Vic had trusted him by giving him the note. That went a long way in his book, especially with someone who had as much 'salt' as the pirate did. Even if Kasumi wasn't to be trusted, he didn't think Vic was the berserker -- a berserker wouldn't do something so suspicious as attack in front of everyone and draw so much attention to themselves.

((Vic is going to go with Perlie - cautiously.))
"If she ain't to be trusted," Vic decided slowly, "we'll be finding' out pretty soon here... But yer right." Pirates weren't always the forgiving sort - okay, they NEVER were, but Kasumi could figure that out later. When you were standing at the gallows with the rope around your neck, though, you didn't go pulling the lever yourself.
Besides which, Nuk's calling her Captain made her a good bit more agreeable. Such flattery shouldn't go to waste, should it?
"Nothing personal-like, mate," she told Perlie, "but we gotta play the odds as best we can. If'n the medium here ain't truthful, we'll figure it out quick enough. So unless ye can say somethin' to change our minds...."

"Wha.. you think I did it? Seriously?" The look on Perlie's face seemed to indicate that this was the stupidest thing she'd ever heard, bar none. "First of all, how? It's not like I've got some secret voodoo powers or stuff up my sleeve, and aren't these trains supposed to be outfitted with FEAR dampeners or something, anyway?" She made a sweeping gesture to the room.
"And besides, if I was the attacker, why would I have bothered to speak up at all? And against someone saying they had they had inside knowledge, too? Wouldn't it just be much smarter to be all quiet-like and hope no-one noticed me?" She sent a pointed glance at Kentarou and Petra, heck, even Andrugora hadn't said much.

"T'be honest? Yeah, it would, mate," Vic answered with a nod. "But here's the rub o' the thing - we gotta pick somebody. And it takes more'n one of us to make a pick, aye? So if'n I don't know who done it, and I think it's best to keeps Ka-what's-'er-name-y around and see what turns out, then I got t' go with the only other bloke what's got blame laid on 'em." The pirate shrugged, noncommital, and added, "'Ave you got a reason that makes one o' them more suspicious than ye?"
Odd, though, how despite Kasumi's pointed reminders that Nuk, too, was a suspect, Vic didn't seem to include him in the range of her suspects. She had to have someone she could trust, after all. Only time would tell if she had made a mistake.

"Besides being way too quiet and detached from all of this? No, I.. guess not. It's not like I actually saw anyone do anything suspicious, so I can't say that. But it's not like anyone saw me doing anything suspicious, either! I don't really see why I'm the better candidate to get picked here." It wasn't like she'd done it, either, which was a pretty good reason not to get picked, too.

For once, Nuk seemed regretful of the situation, a look of distaste at his own choice crossing his expression as Perlie voiced her innocence. "There's six of us left, and none of us have any clue who dun it. Honestly, it's nothing personal. I picked you because you've been accused before, in the beginning, and I remembered. That's it." It was a pretty cruddy way to pick, he'd admit, but it was the best way he knew how, except picking random names out of a hat. "If you've got a better suggestion for who to pick, go right ahead. I don't care who it is, all got the same chance of being the berserker, in my book."

"Mate, yer still not gettin' where I'm goin' with this," Vic grumbled, and waved her hand to the remaining passengers. "Pick. Sayin' it ain't me, ain't good enough. Because if I say, oh well mate, never mind then, and nobody goes with me to accuse someone else - then who among our merry number is leaving' the cabin, so's we can either unmask 'em or whittle down the odds some more?" And there it was - the Rules of the Game, as Vic mentally dubbed them, lined out in plain English. Accuse so that someone could be accused, so the rest would have a better chance of finding the attacker - or else submit to being packed into the Accused Cabin, where the Rules were much simpler.
It was all very... pirate-y. Vic sure didn't look like she was having fun at all, though. Perhaps because she knew that, if Kasumi was believed by a certain dangerous party, Vic herself had just jumped up on the target list for being a 'sure' innocent.
((tl;dr- WHAT NUK ALREADY SAID. I am amused by how much they seem to think alike xD))

((Changing her vote to accuse Petra.))
"Okay, fine! Um... that skeleton over there who hasn't said a thing the whole trip through!" She pointed somewhat haphazardly at Petra - and if the girl had said something, Perlie sure hadn't heard her. "Is that better?"

((Vic is changing her vote to Petra as well.))
Better? No, not by the numbers - it was just the same. But in a more obscure incalculable way, Vic supposed it was. At least Perlie was talking, engaged with what was happening. If she was the bezerker, she'd be more likely to give it away. The folk what said nothing, though - the sooner they were pruned out, the sooner the real poker faces would emerge.
One in six chance, according to Kasumi. Something better, by Perlie's feelings. Good enough, by Vic's gut.
"I'm with ye then, mate," the pirate agreed, wiping a trace amount of water from the back of her neck. The next few rounds would either get gradually noisier, she suspected, or quickly more uncertain.

((Nuk is changing to Petra too))
The skinwalker shrugged in response to Perlie's question, glancing in Vic's direction before nodding. Well, nodding and shrugging. It was true, though -- he couldn't remember a single thing Petra had said, and while that had made Nuk skip over her initially, it had now sealed her fate. It didn't seem very likely she was going to defend herself. She hadn't made a peep this whole time... perhaps to keep under people's radars.
"Yeah, I guess," he responded after the other two had piped up, scratching his head a bit in a non-committal fashion, "Guess we should start weeding out the quiet ones first."
(ROFL, that is exactly why Nuk likes Vic, because he can totally relate to her. xDD Also, short responses becaus it's nearly 7am and I haven't slept yet. But I am doing so now. >.>)

Nodding to Nuk and Vic with a distinctly relieved smile, Perlie couldn't help but appreciate having some sort of plan for this. Weeding out the quiet, yeah, that sounded good - or better than her getting weeded out, at least. "Yeah, that sounds good!"

"What the JACKING hell?!"Ghaun snatched his hand back quickly from the girl, staring in surprise as she fell. It was easy to grab the fallen student and whisk her away to the Injured Cabin, but coming back... He uneasily eyed the skinwalker. Was he now a suspect? It would make sense, given that he had access to the other parts of the train. But if I did, wouldn't I have gone and attacked those in the injured cabin, too injured to fight back? He shook his head. Their paranoia was started to wear onto him!But there wasn't enough time to mope and give into the paranoia. As the pirate-ghost charged, Ghaun let slip a shouted curse of his own as he ran to try and intercept her. "There IS no captain!" He snarled, taking the blade from Kasumi and using it to point at the ghost. His jaws moved as if to say something, but instead he growled and tucked the blade under his arm. " You, ghost," he said, "Are now going to abide by Reaper laws by keeping your weapon out of harm's way while not in combat. Because you do not know yet how to properly store it, I will take care of it." Ugh. Reapers with weapons were the worst sort to deal with, often out-right refusing to store their precious things in the over-head storage. He was lucky his shaman-totem was small enough to wear as a necklace. But... He sighed. It seems they had decided. "Petra," he announced, "It seems that your cabinmates have cho...sen...?" He trailed off, staring. "That's odd," he murmured, "She's not here, but..." A blank look came over his face. "Who were you accusing, again?" While everyone was distracted, looking at the seat that Petra once sat in, something happened. It seemed as if someone was listening to the discussion and kept better track of the votes. There was a thud and a thump before Perlie landed on the floor, her eyes glazed and lost as she seemed to glaze into oblivion. She was moved to the Injured Cabin quickly, if with a bit of difficulty (who knew carrying a ghost was so hard?!).Ghaun returned to the cabin, still with Vic's sword tucked tightly under his arm. "She should be all right," he said, "Whoever attacked her knew enough about FEAR to be able to attack a ghost -- a solid knock to the back of her head put her out." He looked at the assembled, then held up his hands. "Don't look at me! I was still over here at the door when she fell."
