He smiled after a moment stopping pace and looking at her for a moment frowning. "Don't be, I fully acknowledge it could have been a failed attempt." he said slowly opening then closing his fake hand again for emphasis and in the silent night of the gardens the gears within could be heard whirring away. "It's one of those things that made me" he said smiling and kept his balance as he looked around in some amazement and some disappointment at not seeing the gardens during the day. But he just shrugged it off or would have and continued to walk on to the dorms at a leisurely pace.

 she nodded in understanding. A willingness to sacrifice must be made in the attempts to bring to pass a solution one would find worthy of a cause they worked on. Lacy closed her eyes again feeling the soft breeze that hit her lightly. It felt good to be outside, away from her office. She would have gone mad if she had stayed. "thank you." she said gratefully. Then asked another question. "you seemed troubled with your daughters before, if you don't mind me asking, why?" it seemed to be one of the biggest things on his mind when she had looked earlier

Devlin sighed and looked p at the moon smiling for a moment then looking down at the nice gravel path they walked on "There mom and me split up when they were young, and i was always either nose deep in my work or off on some battlefield. I missed them growing up, and don't know how to make up for it or react to them all grown up." he admitted. then smiled and slipped his right arm around her waist to help keep her steady so she didn't have to completely use him as a crutch "Your welcome." he said

ScarletEmbers Lacy stiffled a yawn before inquiring, "what happened to her?" When his arm slipped around her she was both surprised and grateful. She sighed pinching the bridge of her nose. "damn, so much for being a good doctor" lacy still felt bad for having to use him like this, she made a promise to herself not to overwork, or at least just enough so that she could make it home

Frowning after a moment Devlin sighed. "That is a good question he said after a moment looking around though in truth he hadn't seen her sense he offered to wait with Lacey in her office. "I think the last time I saw her was before I went into your office." he said and then frowned at her comment about being a good doctor "Well, miss...I don't believe I caught your name." he said after a moment chuckling in the process.

she looked up at him with one eyebrow arched in question but she didn't press the matter. He would explain if he wanted to and she had no buisness butting into his life and affairs. "well, currently it's Lacy Adams." she replied looking back to the road

He nodded after a moment and kept walking with her Getting almost to the dorms and enjoying the conversation and company."Well it's a pleasure to meet you then Lacey." he said smiling as they walked into the Dorms building where both student and staff accommodations were if all be it on different floors

 Syous entered the garden quietly in the afternoon and made his way further in. He had promised to meet Allistar there after his classes, so there he was. As he walked, he recognised the place where they had first kissed as teenagers, causing him to smile lightly. It had been quite a while since that moment, but it was still clear in his mind as if it had happened merely a few minutes ago. Locating a bench nearby, he sat down and looked up at the sky, glad it didn't look like there was any chance of rain.

Allistar walked through the gardens slowly, letting her mind unwind after a day of classes and take in the beautiful scent of flowers. She turned a corner and noticed Syous, her face now lit with happiness. She spoke as she approached him with a light tone,Hm, either your early or I'm late." She sat next to him, grabbing hold of his hand and giving a peck on his cheek as she continued,"I'm really glad to see you...how was your day?" ((sorry it took so long, i was trying unsuccessfully to get the pic >.< ))

Syous smiled instantly as Allistar's voice entered his ears, taking her hand and kissing her in return. "I'm early I think, but it doesn't really matter, I'm really glad to see you as well. My day was average, the classes always seem to take longer when we've planned to meet up afterwards...but..." Syous trailed off to shuffle a little closer and take hold of her other hand as well. "It's getting better now. How about you?" He asked, his mood improving a bit more now that she was here. (tiz okay and don't worry, I've lost a few of mine before as well, they normally turn up within a few days or so ^_^)

Allistar smiled as she felt Syous nearer to her. Once he finished his last sentence she gave a small sigh before answering,"Class was dull, most were just exams and lectures." Before she continued she leaned closer to Syous, letting her head rest on his shoulder, "But I agree. My day is already much better." She let one finger trace random patterns on the back of his hand as she took in the scenery around them. She looked up to him and smiled, glad the day was clear of clouds and worries.

Syous smiled back at her, happy that her day was on the improve as well. As she traced patterns on his hand, he closed his eye, tring to picture each patter as she made them. "It's such a nice day today." He said, opening his eye again and giving a content sigh. "It seems like barely a few days ago...since we've been together...but it's been a lot longer than that." He said, thinking out loud. He looked around at the garden, confirming that they were the only ones there in the immediate area. His hand slowly slipped out of hers and found it's way around her shoulders, gently holding her close to him as his other was still being traced on by her own hand.

Allistar closed her own eyes as she was pulled closer to Syous. She nodded with his words and responded, surprised with herself that they had been a couple for so long, when it felt only like a day. "Let's see...it's been four months....almost five." She ceased her movements and looked at him calmly as she continued, "And I can safely say that these days have been the best of my life...my human years included."
