ღ The stupid blade refuses to listen! River thought growing angry again. She worked for another ten minutes trying to get the blade to cooperate. As she got pricked for the 5th time; she shoved everything aside and rested her head on the table. River did not accept failure well. “Why don’t you take a break.” Dude said peeking in the room. He had gone out to pick up some stuff; locking up the shop he trusted River would take care of things. “Already did… didn’t help…” River said through the table and she turned her head to face the door. Dude hid the chuckle understanding the frustration, so he shrugged and said, “Well then try something else.” River blinked and sat up glancing back at her project. I knew that… She thought embarrassed, though the new idea did not change her bad mood. ღ [℃ℝαӻȶ: blacksmith FN-DR90 Rank 4: 50% success rate post 10/20 4/10 success]

ღ River took a moment to change the playlist on her monkey player, darker music to reflect her mood. Repeating the other steps from before on the second blade she tapped her foot to the beat of the music. After that she finished the teeth like shape at the base of each blade, that would fit in the groove. She fit the blades in the groove then smiled satisfied they fit before putting the gun aside. She reached into her pocket and took out a hair tie. Bunching her hair up she tied it out of the way and headed across the way tossing one of the blades into the hot fireplace. Now it was time to play the waiting game. ღ [℃ℝαӻȶ: blacksmith FN-DR90 Rank 4: 50% success rate post 11/20 5/10 success]

ღ Donning a fireproof apron, River grabbed the hot axe head with a large pare of metal pliers and she lay the blade onto an anvil picking up a hammer. The axe head needed to be thinned and the weight needed to be distributed properly. With each hammer blow she felt a soothing vibration which she realized, she was hitting the axe with the beat of the song. She turned the blade and continued to change the shape, having it eventually follow the flow of the gun. She smoothes the edges with a grinding stone and checked it with a cloth. ღ [℃ℝαӻȶ: blacksmith FN-DR90 Rank 4: 50% success rate post 12/20 6/10 success]

ღ Tossing the second blade into the fire, River took the fixed blade with her back into the workroom and attached it to the base of the gun, the teeth fit in the groove perfectly. Grabbing some brackets, she drilled a hole through the gun and blade then attached the brackets to both, adding rivets she welded the tops in place. She picked up the gun once done and held it getting a feel for the weight. The second blade needed to be finished still, but it seemed like things were coming along quite nicely. ღ [℃ℝαӻȶ: blacksmith FN-DR90 Rank 4: 50% success rate post 13/20 7/10 success]

With the trigger done the grenade launcher was done for the most part meaning he could move on to the more important part, the actual club. He would set the grenade launcher on the table closer to the edge then the tatsubo, he would continue to make sure both were aligned. He was measuring by his eye, by most standards that was not a wise thing, but when you got the eye of a sniper that was a reliable as measuring tape. He would The pick up and spin the tetsubo, trying to find it center weight, it was done pretty easily. It was sar's work and thus it was centered pretty well, surprisingly light, he must of made it from aluminum. He would then quickly untwist the handle unscrewing it he would then set the handle back down on to the table and he would being to pick up the actual club part of the tetsubo and begin to look it over measuring it further with his eyes. Then back to the important part he would look at the barrel, which he would...kind of just stare down the barrel for a few seconds. Then he would just push him self on the wheeled stool over to the radial bore machine, which it was preety much a large drill around come clamps. He would flip on the stool so that laying on his back looking up at the drill bit. He would reach around to the top of it and turn the dial to make the bit smaller or larger. He would then match it on eye site to the inside of the barrel. Sounds impossible...to those that dont know gigs all seeing eye. Once it looked right, it was time to begin.

ღ Why? River thought as she sighed and poked at the fire with a stoker. Stupid fire… She thought and sighed again hating to wait. It seemed the fire was not hot enough. She sighed and took out the blade adding more fuel to the fire, hoping this time it will work. Probably because of her own impatience she had took rushed things. Not my fault time moved so freaking slow… She thought crossing her arms annoyed how slow time felt right now. She took a seat and leaned her head against the wall staring at the ceiling. Mannnnn…. She thought impatient. ღ [℃ℝαӻȶ: blacksmith FN-DR90 Rank 4: 50% success rate post 14/20 7/10 success]

ღ Checking the fire, River saw the next axe head was ready to be worked on. As she repeated the process from before, she had a hard time to keep her mind from wondering. This was something that needed full concentration... Well a lot of concentration. She mused as she let a part of mer mind wander around the blueprints growing excited about the prospects of the completed weapon. She changed the shape of the blade, like before; but this time made the shape smaller than the bottom blade. For what she had in mind the two blades needed to be a bit different. This is going to be so epic. She thought excited as she used the grinding stone to smooth the finish. ღ [℃ℝαӻȶ: blacksmith FN-DR90 Rank 4: 50% success rate post 15/20 8/10 success]

ღ River tried to add the blades on the gun but no matter what she tried they kept tipping. Tightening the brackets she jabbed her hand and swore wanting to chuck the entire thing out the window. There was another issue. Thanks to the loose blade, the nozzle of the gun would be blocked. Why?? It was working before… She thought confused. Sighing she rested her forehead on the table trying to figure out the problem. ღ [℃ℝαӻȶ: blacksmith FN-DR90 Rank 4: 50% success rate post 16/20 8/10 success]

ღ River stared at the wall still resting her head on the table. She couldn’t think. Afraid to have the pieces become unusable, she tried to think ahead. What a pain…. She thought sighing and closed her eyes. She could always ask Dude for help… but no way in hell… She thought stubbornly as she sat up. Rolling up her sleeves, she started working on the blade again. ღ [℃ℝαӻȶ: blacksmith FN-DR90 Rank 4: 50% success rate post 17/20 8/10 success]

ღ River swore when she tried again to add the top blade. Her calculations had to be off… messing with this more and trying to fix the mistake would do more damage than good. She had to re do it. Everything needed some more tweaking so she disassembled what the had done before and she sighed knowing she would probably be there all night. Stupid thing… She thought with an evil glare, blaming the inanimate object for the mistake. ღ [℃ℝαӻȶ: blacksmith FN-DR90 Rank 4: 50% success rate post 18/20 8/10 ******** YOU GAIA... ******** YOU!}

ღ River heard a song that made her think of her sister. Almost as if Rain were right there; River heard her sister’s voice. “Try and see the good cause things will work out so keep trying. Now show me a smile.” Unable to not smile River’s mood lightened and she erased the blueprint in her mind. She needed to start from scratch. Completely. ღ [℃ℝαӻȶ: blacksmith FN-DR90 Rank 4: 50% success rate post 1/20 1/10 success]

ღ Taking out some paper, she first drew out the blue prints in her head. Flying by the handle it seemed was not the best method. This was fixable, but barely just. So she needed to be super precise this time. She measured out everything, and grabbed a ruler and just put down the basics, mostly worrying about the numbers needed to be kept track of. ღ [℃ℝαӻȶ: blacksmith FN-DR90 Rank 4: 50% success rate post 2/20 7/10 success]

ღ River erased most of the blueprint once more and growled with frustration. Well… that does it. River thought and she stood to take a break. She needed to clear her head again. Leaving the store River slipped on her jacket and went for a walk. Taking a deep breath of fresh air, River glanced up at the stars. She knew why her mind was so scattered today, but she refused to admit the fear from before. True shopping had cheered her up, yet her faith in herself had been crushed. ღ [℃ℝαӻȶ: blacksmith FN-DR90 Rank 4: 50% success rate post 3/20 2/10 success]
