(( Rong Wei - Drinks Booth ;; TAG TO EBONY, with some regard still to KYOU ))

Rong Wei tensed up greatly as she felt Ripley's hand press harder against her back at the greeting for a woman they both were quite familiar with, but even though her body had tensed somehow the Chinese woman still managed to keep a strong poker face going as she looked over at the purple-haired Brit. Ripley was impressed to see Rong Wei accomplish something without grumbling first or giving herself away with some kind of verbal or facial tic, and he scribbled a note in the back of his mind to bring this up later. Perhaps Rong Wei wasn't aware herself of how strong her guard could be put up even when she had more then enough alcohol inside her system. He didn't know if was the drink that made her braver but at the very least it always made her far more interesting to observe.

"Hey there Ebony. Been a while since we've met, how are you treating your hands?"

It was a weak topic of conversation, since Rong Wei didn't know what else to say. She could have said 'good to be able to see you with both eyes now' and made a remark about Ripley's...hit-happy ways, though she didn't know how well that would go over. The man before her was part of the lab, right? What if he was just like that p***k from before and would assume things?

A drunken mind lead to oddly illogical yet logical thought patterns when in regards to Rong Wei.

((Ebs=Drink Booth))

She wanted to ask how was Ripley treating her in answer to that question, but thought twice about it. Looking around it was obvious this was not the best place to ask such a personal question and thinking on it yet again it probably wasn’t considered proper etiquette for a near stranger to be asking it. After all, Ebony took her own privacy very seriously and would not take too kindly to such probing questions either. Friend or foe, her business was hers and hers alone. The same respect should be given to the Chinese woman despite Ebony’s speculations.

“I’d like to think I’ve done well in their up keep, but you’re the expert after all, so why not have a look for yourself.” Scooting a bit closer, the Brit stretched a tanned hand out for the professional to inspect. Her hands were a bit dry from the sand and sun, but other than that the violet nails were still fully intact with barely a chip in the paint.

(( Oceanside - Xuelian
Drink Booth - Kenth ))

"O-ok. " the teal Raevan sniffed and managed to make out a word while nodding hard at Vyn's suggestion. It wasn't a shell, that was disappointing, perhaps more important than the fact that her hand was hurt. The little guy finally was able to be taken off of her skin, and the girl gently laid it back down to the sand and watch it move away. The way the crab moved was rather amusing, much unlike any other creatures she had seen. Xuelian had read about crabs from the picture book, about how it walked sideways, but seeing it in front of her eyes was a different level of wonder. For the moment the dainty Raevan had forgotten about the pain (for she didn't know the severity of her wound ), and meekly observed the little creature as it quickly dug into the sand and disappeared. Xuelian mouthed a soundless "bye-bye" before turning to Vyn.

"The game is finished?"
She asked, her voice still a bit weak from earlier but had a much cheered up tone. She looked down at the bucket, and was quite happy with the house they had built. She wasn't able to find any flowers for the garden in the end...but it was fun and fulfilling, nonetheless. She gave the older Raevan a proud smile, indicating that she was satisfied with their work. "Yes, let's go back." She confirmed once more. "We show the family to everyone?"

---------------------------------------------------------

Sitting in the shade by himself and drinking ice water was a great way to refresh himself. Kenth could feel the cool air carrying away the heat that was radiating from his body earlier. Despite all the trouble earlier, at the moment the doctor was enjoying the feeling and the beautiful view in front of him. The only thing that he wasn't quite happy with was the consistent chattering from the drink booth not too far away from where he sat. People's voices always reminded him that he was not alone, which meant that he should not be thinking about things pertaining only to himself at the moment. Kenth frowned and looked to the seaside. He wondered how his subject was doing. This was the first time he'd let her go out of his sight. Kenth did not even bother to look for her, perhaps because he was indeed mad at her earlier. Now, however, he was quite worried, and wondered if he had made the right choice.

A few Raevan came back from the ocean, carrying buckets with them from the seashell game. The doctor stood up, knowing well that the game was probably over. Should he be looking for Xuelian now? It seemed to be a good time to do so. However, seeing all the Raevans coming back was giving him a hard time to distinguish Xuelian among the rest of them. His Raevan was colored quite differently from the others, but Kenth had never bothered with how unique she looked. To him, she was just like any other Raevan, interesting creature that needed to be studied more. To move about the crowd trying to locate Xuelian only by a vague impression would result in both of them getting lost. With that in mind Kenth shook his head. He would have to trust the dainty Raevan this time, that she would come looking for him instead.

Since he was already standing, Kenth eyed the water bottle that was held in his hand. It was, as predicted, almost empty. The doctor stretched a little and proceeded to the drink booth, where he would ask for another bottle of water.

(( Beach -> Popsicle booth (tag Zeke) - Seashell 6/6 : sea fan // Drinks booth ))

Lazarus colors a little as Cordelia twined her arms around his, feeling the Frei's cooler hands touching his. He was a little embarrassed and quite nervous that's for sure, but he knew that if he rejected her or act strangely now, it will be impolite to her. So he just nodded lightly with a meek "Sure." to her question. He was actually thankful for the boxing lessons Alex gave him now, it helped curb his adrenaline and urges so he doesn't feel the desire now to sexually harass females like he nearly did to the Frei back then during Christmas.

As they floated quietly back towards the popsicle booths, his crimson eyes spotted something not far in front of them. A strange white colored sea fan. It was very intricate in it's organic, natural design. Dipping down, loosening Cordelia's grip a little along the way, he dusted off some of the sand as he picked up the two inch big coral. The Sigel wasn't sure if this is considered a seashell, but it does look very interesting. The small size indicated that it must be chipped off of a much larger coral. "Pretty no?" He commented and showed it to the Frei for a moment before depositing it back into his bucket.

Once they got back to the beach party, Lazarus lead Cordelia straight towards the popsicle booth. He figured that it should end where it started. "So... we're back!" The Sigel announced tentatively to Zeke as he raise his bucket a little, feeling a little bad to interrupt his conversation with a girl he had never seen before.

The disappearance of the smile on Ripley face immediately alerted Kyou that he probably offended the Frei in some way. "Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself properly." He chuckled a little embarrassingly, realizing that he had not meet the guardian and Raevan duo face to face before. Perhaps he should introduce himself properly first next time, since not all of them had met him before. "I am Dr. Kyou from the Lab." Surely they had heard of his name before at least?

Thankfully the arrogance in Ripley's words were lost to him. Being an optimist, it was probably one of his gifts to be able to look pass most people's negativity and appreciate the positivity instead. It was this exact same trait that made him not the type of people to like to assume things, or rather, he expects the best out of people instead of the contrary. So he just watched the interaction between Rong Wei and Ebony quietly as he made a watermelon daiquiri for himself.

((Delia=Popsicle Booth))

The Frei gave a girlish squeak of content at him agreeing to do more fun stuff with her and gave the arm she was clinging to a slight squeeze in conjunction. Today was turning out to be one of her most favorite days of all. Not only had she managed to get near the water without any major incidents, but they’d found some pretty interesting shells too. Course thinking back maybe it would have been better if she’d talked with Lazarus more rather than concentrating so much on the game. Cordelia felt she hadn’t really gotten to know the Sigel much even with the good span of time they’d shared just now. Oh well, there was plenty of time for that later.

Delia automatically let go the moment the demon bent down to retrieve something on the ground. When he came back up, brandishing a wide expanse of intricate roots reminiscent of a tiny tree, the girl smiled and nodded. “It is. I hope we get to keep something from all this.” She looked between their buckets then and realized Lazarus had actually been able to collect a whole lot more than she did. Well if anything she had two shells and a few good memories.

Floating up to the booth, the basilisk flashed an incredibly wide smile and plopped her bucket on the counter. Oblivious as she was most of the time, or perhaps her attention was just that narrow, Cordelia didn’t notice the other human female speaking with the Lab member. “Hi Zeke! We’re all done! Did we win?”

((Lucia=beach To Chrys and Rapid))

Lucia grinned at Zul as he kept her from getting wet. ”Do you know how much I miss you?!” she cried, with a teasing tone. She really did miss spending time with him. He had been her rock for quite a while. She knew she could depend on him, but she missed just spending time with him. It had been nice to spend time with him every night. Now, this was the first time she had seen him in a while.

He said her name twice – the first time he was surprised, but the second he seemed happy to see her. ”I’m doing better, obviously. But –“ She trailed off and shrugged, knowing he’d understand her silence. That was one of the best things about him.

As he “introduced” her to Xiu, the kitten’s eyes went wide. ”Xiu you grew!” The frei smiled broadly at him, leaning comfortably against Zul. Now for the second time today she was really comfortable. ”Xiu and I are old friends,” she said with a squeeze of Zul’s arm as she slipped her own arm into the crook of his elbow.

[ Vyn. Oceanside -> Popsicle booth. Ethan. Popsicle booth. ]

Vyn nodded. There hadn’t been any explicit details in regards to how much they should collect and within what timeframe, however, their bucket was pretty much full now and most of the other raevans who had been bobbing around the water’s edge and down the beach equipped with buckets seemed to be making finishing touches to their collections. Now was as good a time as ever to head back and, as Xeulian had rightly said, show everyone their family. Swinging the bucket as they made their way across the sand, Vyn definitely had more of a spring to her step now that the game was complete. She wasn’t sure if she had been signed up for any more games, but if so, she hoped that she would be teamed up with Xeulian again. Even though she was immature compared to most of the other frei, it was in a most endearing way and playing the temporary role of teacher appealed to the usually quiet shadow.

Nudging Xeulian’s hand – the one not pinched by the crab – with her own she rattled their collection at her as they approached the Popsicle booth. She assumed that was where the shells had to be dropped off since that was where they had started and the rose rightfully noticed other raevans approaching Zeke; Lazarus had just jangled his bucket at Zeke. Inclining her head to look down at Xeulian she offered her the bucket. “Would you like to give Zeke our family?” She paused, thinking quickly... “Maybe you can ask him to have them back when he’s counted up all the shells?” She had suggested earlier about the girl taking home the pretty stone as a reminder of the day, but now that they had a whole family of shells Xeulian might want to keep them all... If not... Vyn wouldn’t mind giving them a home. They were pretty and she was sure there was a fish tank somewhere in the penthouse that could give the shells a home.

Seeing his daughter and her partner returning Ethan moved himself from where he had been lingering on the outskirts of the crowd around the Popsicle booth. He had nabbed himself a sweet treat to enjoy whilst his rose moved about collecting shells. Twisting the now thin and nearly fully consumed strawberry pop he cast the returning pair a warm smile as he interrupted their bee-line for Zeke. “Hello. How did it go?” He asked, peering at the bucket. He could see a lot of seaweed at the top, under which were a few peeps of white. Shells? He was keen to have a look and identify them. Being interested in marine life and having an extensive collection of aquariums he was a dab hand at knowing what was what. Perhaps he should’ve offered his help to Zeke... The poor vet was getting rather swamped at his post behind the Popsicle booth...

"I could count them for you if you want?" No harm in saving the vet a little bit of work.

(( Rong Wei - Drinks Booth TAG TO KYOU AND EBONY ;; Ripley => moving to Popsicle Booth SIGNING UP FOR REMAINING GAMES ))

"Your nails are indeed looking good, makes me a bit sad. I guess since you're taking such good care of your hands you won't be giving me repeat business any time soon, which is a shame since you and Cordelia were pleasant enough company. Ripley certainly enjoyed seeing your companion, and though he won't admit it he'd like to see her ag-"

Rong Wei was cut off as a sharp jolt rippled its way up her spine, her hair standing on end for a moment as every nerve in her body sang with high protest. The shock hadn't been anything overly sever or painful, just enough to stop the woman mid-word and prevent her from continuing on, and Rong Wei slowly bit her lip as her eyes turned to look at the face of her Raeven. He was very clear NOT AMUSED with that line of thought she'd been working on, and he certainly wasn't afraid to let her know so - even in front of the man who just claimed to be the creator of such creatures as he.

"Ugh, never mind. Ripley, why don't you go...do something? I saw other fre-....Frei like yourself running around on the sands, so why don't you go and see what they were doing? Surely our conversations can't be that interesting to you?"

Ripley raised an eyebrow, amused that Rong Wei had caught herself before calling him a freak in front of Dr. Kyou. She'd alternated words lately in referring to him - freak, beastie, ******** you ,you ********' monster - the usual, really. It must have been because she was already drunk (or heading that way) that she didn't want to cause a scene and send people into a spiral of hateful words at her, so he chuckled beneath his breath as he actually pulled his hand away from the small of her back. He would listen to her request, just for today - and only for today. If she kept on keeping on in this manner, they were soon bound to return to troubled times.

"Then I will take my leave of you all, and go see what there is for me to do. Good Dr. Kyou, please don't let her drink too much more - she is my only means of returning home, as it is. Also Rong Wei, it would be good for you to watch your words, as you never know who is listening to what you're actually saying."

There was a bit of a bite in the tail end of his words as he shuffled back and floated off towards the Popsicle Booth once more, since that was where he assumed he needed to be in order to play these games that the others looked so enthused in. He only knew three out of those he'd seen actually moving around - at least three that he could see at first glance - so perhaps him joining in was more out of necessity than an actual desire to have fun? A King did need his subjects, and Ripley would be needing every Raeven out on the beach today - for better or for worse.

When he managed to get to the booth he noticed several lists scattered about with no real sign of the man, not that he was looking, so it was with deft motions that he managed to find a pen and scribble his name down on the remaining events - SANDCASTLES and PAINTBALL.

He had no earthly idea what either of those events were. Oh well.

Back at the Drink Booth, Rong Wei gave a sigh the moment Ripley left and finished the rest of whatever was in her cup, slamming it down on the counter (her fist hit more than the actual cup). Her back was still tingling from the mini-shock, but worst of all her nerves were finally shaking from a mixture of heat and drink. If he stayed occupied it was all well and good, but -

"Barkeep - I mean, Dr. Kyou - may I have another please? Or something with less alcohol and more water? Or just...water period?"

(( popsicle booth- Xuelian - tag to Vyn and Ethan
Drink booth - Kenth - tag to Kyou ))

Xuelian, like she had done so before, followed the older Raevan back to the popsicle booth where the two met and departed for the game. Along the way the girl looked around, hoping to find her guardian, but with no avail. She had no time to sulk, however, as the two quickly approached the stand. Xuelian was amazed by how many Raevans there were, and, although she had see one or two from the beach, the overwhelming number of her race became somewhat intimidating. The fear, however, did not come from the crowd itself, but rather the girl's previous worry that she would not have enough hands to lend out if she wanted to greet all of them. Of course, the possibility of shaking hands with the Raevans one at a time easily escaped the dainty Raevan. Xuelian looked down at her hands, one of them still slightly red from the naughty crab earlier, and sighed. She peeked over to Vyn, and wondered if the rose Raevan would be willing to help her in her hand-shaking quest if she had chance to formally meet the other Raevans.

But Vyn was talking to her about a whole different topic. Blinking a few times the young Frei quickly looked down at the seashell family, then at the green haired man, who seemed to be occupied with other people. Xuelian hesitated at Vyn's request, unsure if she was willing to part with the seashells and unsure if Zeke was willing to give it back. There was also the uncertainty on Kenth's reaction, though thankfully the strict doctor wasn't here. Casting her eyes back and forth between the bucket and the stand Xuelian caught the sight of Ethan coming over their way. She nodded at the man, giving him a bright smile that confirmed the fun she had with the game. Xuelian almost spoke to Ethan at the same time the man offered to count the shells.

"We made a family." The teal Raevan babbled with excitement, handing the bucket out to the man so he could get a clearer view of what's inside. "A dad, a mom, a daughter, a pet, a house, and a garden!" The words came out of Xuelian's mouth with amazing fluency, which made the girl more excited, proud at herself for memorizing all these words.

"It is the best seashell family in the world."

-------------------------------------------------------------

Kenth had expected people to be surrounding the drinks booth. He had prepared to stand in line before loosing his patience and then nudge himself to the front and possibly gaining a frown or two from other people. However, much to his relief, there seemed to be less people now at the drink booth, possibly because various other games were starting soon. Xuelian was still nowhere to be found, the doctor wondered if his subject had the ability to sign up for games herself. Perhaps under the guidance of another person. The thought made him somewhat bitter. If Xuelian insisted he'd have allowed her to play other games, but definitely not with the help of another human being. Kenth was, after all, her guardian.

Whichever was the case, the doctor decided to abandon the original idea and start looking for his subject instead. With the thought in mind Kenth did not hesitate to approach the counter quickly. He had a goal in mind, he had work to do.

"Another bottle of water please." The words came out immediately after Kenth was close enough to the booth, not even bothering to put his hand on the counter's surface. The doctor had paid no attention to Kyou, as he was quite unfamiliar with the man who had created the Raevans, despite communicating through mails and his workers. Kenth did, however, likewise with Zeke, frown upon the strange appendages growing out of Kyou's head. Was the man not human, or were they only decorations? Either way, Kenth had no plan to start any deeper conversations with this man, who he deemed as bizarre.

((Popsicle Booth - Zeke))

That pantomiming came to an abrupt stop as Lazarus' voice rang out from behind him. Zeke gave a mild start - sure they were surrounded by people but other than Anita, no one seemed to want to engage the vet. Kind of a nice change of pace for a moment, really, though he still needed to set up his umbrella. With a 'just one moment' gesture to the girl, the vet turned around on his heel in the sand and beamed at the Sigel.

"Welcome back!" Though his gaze automatically turned to the basilisk, laughing lightly to her question. "Well, I've gotta take a tally of what you guys found, then compare it to what everyone else has. So until that's done, no winner." He picked up a pen in his left hand and pulled the team list for the sandcastles toward himself. A quick glance and he found the two names; putting the tip of the ballpoint on the paper before looking up at the Frei and Sigel pair. "So what did you two find out there?"

Beedle-beep!

The sound of his phone going off once more. Not a call, but another game, even though the last game hadn't gotten full results yet. Ah well...

"Just a moment, guys, I got another game to announce teams for." That pen clicked over to the paintball sign up sheets and Zeke made lists for each team. Five on each, with two captains manning a team each, six players shooting it out. He got the equipment and set it on the table once more before hopping up, popsicle dripping on his fingers.

"I can't whistle this time but the next game is about to begin!" He called over the sand, waving the paper he had in his hand to garner attention. It was a miracle he didn't fall. "Next game is paintball and we've got two teams. Lazarus," he gestured to the horned male, "is leading Team Mango and Zul," he looked for the Frei but couldn't spot him outright, "is leading Team Papaya! Teams are as follows - on Team Mango: Varun, Eirdirsceol, Rivener, Ty, and Ripley." Again he gestured to Lazarus, pointing him out for the five to flock to. "On Team Papaya: Pra...Prajna! Tyson, Ethan, Ebony, and Ronan! Come over to my booth to get your gear guys...and lady."

Riv had waited by the sea for Anya, though he didn't know really if there was a time limit or anything like that. Perhaps he should have paid more attention to the rules?... But anyway, he was pretty much done with his own searching. He'd started out slow but come out with that pretty white curly-ice-cream-cone of a shell, and he and Anya had both found one of those pieces of abalone... Not bad at all. Riv grinned as he watched his game-partner lower herself to the ground, walking on her wings like spider legs... ingenious! Riv had never thought to do that with his own wings, though the idea of trying to balance on his stingers... hn, that'd probably hurt. He figured his own wings were the tail, not the legs, of his creature-soul. Anya's were the legs, though. And she wasn't shy about using them.

Ah, the last thing she'd found wasn't even a shell? The girl toted a green stone, flat and smooth, looking quite pleased with her new treasure. How cute. Rivener chuckled and nodded at Anya in passing, following the girl back to Zeke's booth. "We did pretty good, all in all, I think?" he said, putting the pail down just in time to hear the teams announced for paintball.

...Two emotions warred. He wasn't on Zul's team, though with their current friction that might be for the best? It was a mild disappointment... But on the other hand, he was teamed with Eiry! And he thought he'd heard Ripley's name, too! Though Varun, hm. He was likely to shoot his own team members if he was still mad about that fiasco at the party.

"I'm gonna leave this here, it's Anya's and mine," Riv told Zeke before grabbing a paintball gun and rounding the booth, coming face to face with both Ripley and Eiry, the two not far from one another. The Sigel gave a great big fang-filled grin. "Grab a gun, fellahs! Let's f@#$^% shoot some people! WHOO!"

Riv hadn't heard all the names shouted for the other team, but he HAD heard a few: Tyson, Prajna, Ebony! Riv definitely had to go find these prime targets! He thought he'd heard Ethan's name too... Ethan as in, VYN'S Ethan? That old dude could shoot? Hm! And Ronan, Riv had no idea who that was, but he figured he'd find out soon enough. Turning, wings tucked against his back (he knew from past experience how much it stung to get shot in the wing!), Riv zipped off across the sand to look for targets.

((Delia=Popsicle Booth // Ebs=Drink Booth -> Popsicle Booth))

Cordelia’s face brightened at the robust greeting. Despite any animosity that may have been felt earlier on, the Frei was actually starting to like the duo color haired staff member. Briefly she wondered if Ebby would let her do something like that to her hair, not exactly the same, just maybe some streaks of green. Her thoughts were brought to a halt when Zeke announced that she’d have to wait to see whether they won or not. Pouting, “We got lots of pretty things. But I think Lazarus got the best…and most.” Although she was a bit miffed at having to admit that, Delia was also a little proud of her Sigel partner, thus managing to flash him an endearing smile nonetheless.

She took her hand back, but arched a single brow in question when Rong Wei stopped mid sentence. There was an odd look on her face, like she was struggling to keep some kind of emotion from showing. As she looked towards her dark skinned charge, so too did Ebony. His face, though mostly impassive as his guardian’s, flashed with a certain sternness that said Ripley wasn’t happy about something. It was revealed soon enough as the Egyptian floated off to join the others at Zeke’s booth.

Ebony looked back to Rong Wei after a moment, having watched the departing halfback carefully beforehand. The Chinese woman said nothing as she downed her drink quickly and though she looked loath to speak any more, the other female just as quickly ordered for more. But it wasn’t alcohol like the Brit was expecting, but water? How strange. Didn’t people who were upset normally order more alcohol instead? As much as Ebony wanted to say something, she kept her mouth shut. It wasn’t her place and she knew that Rong Wei wouldn’t talk anyway. Besides, she had no actual proof, merely assumptions that something was up between the human/Raevan pair. And Ebony was too cautious a person to move on assumption alone.

Silently, Ebony canted her head ever so slightly to try and catch the golden gaze of Doctor Kyou and lock it with her own platinum one. Perhaps she could bestow to him some sort of concerned expression in which to let him know her suspicions without actually airing them. If he had some sort of inkling then maybe…

The Brit’s thought process came to a starling halt as her name was being yelled from across the way. The purple haired female looked towards the popsicle booth and frowned. What was this Zeke was shouting about mangoes and paintball? Wait…paintball? Eyes flashing with a great intensity, Ebony immediately abandoned her seat and was marching straight for the veterinarian. Being that she was in quite a hurry suddenly, the woman had to do a bit of foot hopping as another white haired male was coming up to the bar. With a huff of exasperation and unintentional rudeness, she finally managed to slip past Kenth. “Excuse me.”

Once at the booth Ebony slammed her hands down on the counter, “Zeke! What’s this about me and paintball? I signed up for no such thing!” She was pretty sure it was her he was calling for since every other person the man had called was male (or sounded to be) and as far as she knew, there wasn’t anyone else in the Lab with her name.

[[ Popsicle Booth ]]

It took a lot for Varun not to scream when Prajna pulled his hair tie out. As it were, he still yelped, a few strands of bright red hair tangled around the elastic when his friend pulled. The Leviathan whined, rubbed the back of his head and shooting the Star a nasty look. “Whatfor?” he demanded crossly. It only took him moments to realize his hair was tangled and sticky, the salt drying, but not quite quickly enough. Varun huffed again, about to tell Prajna off before the other redhead opened his mouth again and signed up for paintball.

He rolled his eyes and shook his head. Prajna. Paintball.

It seemed it signed up just in time, though. Zeke started to announce the teams. Varun hushed Prajna, flapping a hand at him while listening to the popsicle man intently. One headfin flicked, and a look of displeasure crossed his face. He wasn’t on a team with his friend! He didn’t particularly want to shoot the redhead, no matter how much of a brat he was.

He grabbed a gun, and tossed his head. “Watch out,” he hissed, though his tone made it unclear whether it was a warning or a thread. Checking his paintball gun over once (and hoping with all his might it operated similar to a bebe gun), he drummed his fingers and glanced around, trying to determine who was friend, and who was foe. He didn’t even know who half his team actually was. As long as Rivener stayed over there…

Varun flared his wings and bared his teeth. Bring it on!

Prajna was a bit taken aback as its companion snarled a bit in the Star's direction. The androgynous redhead frowned and opened its mouth in retaliation when suddenly Varun's attentions were taken elsewhere. Prajna watched intently as Varun's eyes fluttered to a human behind the counter and then to the field of people in front of them. What was going on?

"Varun, Varun. Look at Prajna. Watch out what? What is watch Prajna?" the Inverted Flame whispered harshly, suddenly fearful to raise its voice. The air seemed to suddenly gain an odd tension or perhaps..excitement? Prajna found it hard to breathe and it could not tell why. That's when Prajna saw it. It was just like the things on the television.

"POW POW! Varun has one of television toys!" came the sudden gasp of unrestrained excitement. Prajna instinctively reached for a gun for itself and once the machine was within the Star's hands, gazed at it in complete awe. The powerful beasts from the television...and now Prajna had one. Without knowing how it worked or how dangerous it was, Prajna swung around to its companion and laughed sweetly, "Varun LOOK! Just like Varun. Is Varun watch Prajna like now? Look..Prajna has the same. ...Varun?"

Prajna frowned as it noticed..Varun was no longer interested in the Star. He was facing a field of a people, his wings flared and his teeth bared and---

-click!-

Prajna stared in confusion as it watched a brightly colored blur leave the gun.

"Uh oh."

Prajna raised its eyes from the tip of its gun to the back of its companion and winced when its eyes spotted an explosion of color on the Leviathan's back...

(( Ripley - PAINTBALL!

Team Mango
1/6 fired [ o hit, 1 miss ] ))

Ripley had no idea what he'd signed up for, as he previously thought, but the moment 'teams' were announced and he recognized at least two of the other five names being spoken he didn't have much time to react to anything when the Sigel he knew as Rivener came up and told him to grab a gun (along with some words he'd rather not repeat). The Egyptian Frei could only shake his head in mild confusion as to what he got himself into when he actually grabbed one of the 'guns' he surmised was for him and the rest of his team, people he hoped would know who he was enough to not pelt him with paintballs or whatever it was that would be shot at him.

That being said he lifted the gun up and looked at it, his eye over the hole that he assumed would be shooting out, and he stuck his finger in it for a moment as he tried to figure out just what exactly this all was going to do. It served him no purpose to keep standing there, however, as he heard a pop and turned just in time to witness one of his fellow Raevens get hit in the back by something out of a gun. It was colorful, and it looked painful - and Ripley almost dropped his own gun before it actually went off and fired a round into the sands. It startled him enough that he scattered from the spot he was in to a place a bit away from others yet still in full view of whatever was going on.

He would not be snuck up on, and he would figure out how to fire this blasted thing even if it meant all the balls went into the sand. Ripley didn't know the rules of this game, and that suited him just fine - for now.
