Wow....he's as messed up as I am... She thought with a smile stretching on her otherwise silent lips, watching the thought process play on his face till she got her answer and she nodded slowly in response. "I see...."
However, turning as he did she went back to the coffee maker and watched as the final few drops landed in the dark brown contents of the pot. "Mnnnnn...." With a happy groan of a sigh, she retrieved a mug and poured herself a cup; adding her desired amount of cream and sugar before taking a sip and feeling the angst and stress of waking up disappear. It was always a beautiful moment ever morning she liked to relish in, but realizing she actually had company this morning she turned and smiled as she caught his question.
"Ah, yes I did for the most part. Wasn't long enough though!" She admitted and held the mug in both her paws before taking another long sip. "How was your sleep? Seemed pretty eventful!" Musing with playful intentions, she flicked her tail as she returned to the living room once more to sit on the couch....still a bit too tired for standing.

He took a large bite from the banana, but as soon as he felt it slither down his throat he felt the acid kick from the lack of diet coke. He soon opened the fridge to pull out a can of the soda and before finishing the fruit, he guzzled at least half of the can.
All while she took care of her coffee, he made his way back to the bathroom and closing the door behind him, only disappearing from sight for only a few moments before retuning just in time to catch the response to her question.
"That's good" he mused as he headed over to the chair and sat cross legged in it, taking the remote and switching the TV on, promptly flipping through the channels until he found something interesting. Looney Tunes no doubt.
"I'm tired...but that's not new.." he mumbled through his fixated gaze on the coyote chasing the road runner and ensuing in hilarious antics, none of which he seemed to visibly laugh at but rather just absorb.

"I see...." Nodding her head gently as he soon indulged in watching the TV, she found her attention waning, never having been one for shows and whatnot. Drinking her coffee in relative peace, her wars flicked around as if to listen when a thought struck her as she realized she hadn't heard anything from the Medabot's room.
I wonder if he's any better? Kay thought, turning her head to look down the hall in a curious notion. Would it be wise? It couldn't hurt, if he was still sleeping then she could come right back and continue on. Glancing to Banes as his eyes remained on the screen, she set her cup onto the table and stood. "I'll be right back..."
Taking her leave down the hall, she made sure to quiet her steps once she neared the other bedroom; opening the door slightly and poked her head inside to see the status on their small white companion.

Not realizing that Kay didn't enjoy cartoons he absently minded watched until she got up and said she'd be back. He turned the tv to mute and looked up wondering where she was headed. "Oh" he uttered as he realized there was a third party in the house.
He too got up and walked down the hall with her, not at all trying to mask his already quiet steps. He got right behind her and gently pushed open the door further so he could see in, finding the bed virtually the exact same as the night before, with Medabot having only seemed to move the right arm onto his chest. "Odd" he whispered.

A slow smile stretched on her lips as she noticed that he had in fact moved. Thats a relief... She thought and let out the breath she'd been holding prior. However she had little time to relish in that wave of relief when she noticed the door moving and felt the presence very, very close behind her. Inhaling sharply but not enough to be heard she craned her head to look up at Banes.
heck, she hadn't heard him get up despite muting the TV, let alone come down the hall! Feeling her cheeks turn a soft pink, she gave a silent thumbs up and motioned to the robot...obviously glad he seemed okay but did give him a tilt of her head. "How come..." She whispered very quietly, she would have backed up and asked further but he was blocking her retreat.

Noticing her discomfort, he didn't at all move, but was rather far more focused on the one oddity in the room. Having seen the room so many times and being an officer, observation was the biggest thing he had. And there was just something on the floor that bothered him. "Look at the floor. Do you see the foot prints?" he whisper as he gently pushed past her and pointed to the large and oddly shaped prints that were barely visible on the carpeted floor, but only because of a slight mud track did he notice them.
He motioned her over and fingered around the print. "This paw has to be bigger than my head!" he exclaimed very quietly. He looked up to her, very surprised that something this big could have gotten in without notice.

Wondering momentarily why he had yet to move, her curiosities were answered as he seemed to have spotted something. "A what?" Immediately she wasn't sure she liked the sounds of this as she watched carefully, noticing that in fact there was a footprint. A large one at that.
Crouching down she eyes it, looking to him as she wore a look of concern. "You notice me going to the kitchen but you didn't notice something like this?" She whispered with a faux anger, giving a wink to let him know she was just playing. "I wonder what the door is like...." She didn't even notice anything wrong, but when she'd gone to the kitchen she was barely alive let alone looking for something out of the ordinary.

Looking up from the print he saw another one leading out of the room. "Whatever it is...came in through here." he said feeling a twinge of uneasiness settle over him. He looked around the room to see scratches on the window sil. "It came in through that window..." he said as he moved his way to the window, seeing it was in fact broken open. He followed the scratches to the floor and saw another set of foot prints, same as before. he looked a head and noticed it walked out of the room. "It left the room..." he said...he was in the CSI zone now.
When he got to the hard wood floor hallway, he looked down, expecting to see scratches, but didn't. "Hmm...they just end." He said tapping his chin, turning back to the room. He walked to one of the foot prints and put a paw in the middle of one. He frowned and put weight on the print. "Whatever it was...it was really heavy...I can feel the wood underneath has been cracked" he said looking to her, putting a paw under his chin. Something large..and heavy was now in the house, and they couldn't find it? Very perplexing

Watching in a silent amazement as he pinpointed where it came in and its path, She couldn't help but smile. Kay could tell he enjoyed his job and was especially good at it, which made her feel at ease even if there was something large and unknown in the house. Perhaps it was his calm demeanor about it, to deduct rather than to panic. Standing and following quietly out the door, she looked around as he stopped to test the floor of the hallway and pondered herself. Where could it have gone?
"Maybe it got wise, and tried to distribute its weight after this one?" Stepping over the board and further out into the hall, she looked up and then down. Logically, if it had gotten out of the room without them noticing it would be in one of the other rooms; and then they would need to just eliminate....unless of course it had gone right back out the window. However, she wanted to make sure; and taking hold of her own door she'd left ajar she poked her head in to take a look around.
Besides, between the Office, Bathroom, two bedrooms and the 'basement' there wouldn't seem many places to hide.

He walked over to the other foot prints and tested them as well, finding all of them had similar broken floorboards underneath as well. It didn't make sense to him. Something large was in the house...but there where no signs of it having left the room he was in other than a foot print suggesting otherwise
Perplexed he walked into the hallway looking for any clues. "I don't know Kay." he mumbled as he walked down the hall, peering into the office then bathroom, finding nothing of interest. He walked back down the hall and spotted something that evaded him before. "Look at that" he requested, pointing to the door frame of his bedroom. More scratches..not like the ones on the windowsill. He looked up finding the ceiling unscathed, but noticed something off about the basement door.

Thankfully finding nothing in her room she sighed in relief as a paw came up to touch over her heart, unsure when it had begun to pound like it was now. Looking back to Banes as he further noticed the signs of the intruder, she eyes the frame of the door before he pointed out what was the Basement door.
"I see it...." She breathed, walking quietly over to the door but paused before touching it. As far as she was concerned it was better off down there than in here, in her opinion....but whatever could it want down there? The eerie radiation was enough to send anyone packing and for sure she wasn't too keen on going down there a second time. Hell, she hadn't even finished her coffee yet.
Too early for this crap.... She thought with a mental sneer, but looked back to Banes curiously. "What're we going to do...?"

He walked to the door of the basement, noticing the door knob was crushed in a bit. He had caught the question right as he reached for the knob. "Well...if it's in there...then..it has to go." he said. He didn't want to see whatever had come through the house and made such a mess, but it was his job and duty to do so.
Cautiously, he creaked open the door, seeing nothing was behind it waiting to grab him. He flipped the switch to the cave lights on and took hold of the lantern on the hook. Whatever was in here, had no troubles of seeing in the dark. "You can stay here, or come with me" he stopped and called back after making it past the door way

"I guess so...." Pursing her lips she thought about the option she was given, and although there was a part of her which wouldn't mind staying where it was safe and not in some radioactive cavern....a bigger part didn't want to see him go alone. Sighing as she knew she couldn't argue with her conscious she stepped onto the smooth flooring and tried to hang onto the wall.
"I'm coming, I'm coming....." Stopping behind him, she shut the door till it was slightly ajar....just in case whatever it was gave them the slip and decided to come back she'd know. "Lead the way..." The vixen breathed, already feeling that sick heart throbbing feeling act up in her chest.

He didn't realize how cold it was in the cave until it smacked his bare chest. He nodded as she had joined him and took a few careful steps forward, making sure not to slip on the barely visible rocks. "We'll head over to the radioactive site. If something snuck in through the house, I would imagine that's where it would go" he whispered quietly.
As he got closer and closer, he could swear he heard the sound of water lapping on the rocks. "Do you hear that?" he asked as he raised the lantern to see the ominous glow come into sight and the rippling shimmers of the water reflecting onto the cave ceiling. "Is something..swimming over there??" he muttered out loud

"Alright..." She whispered from behind, following down carefully as to not slip like last time. Using the wall as the majority of her support she was thankful once they reached the bottom, even though it was just that much closer to the radioactive site. Looking ahead at the eerie glow that took over a lot of the cave's lighting, it wasn't until she looked down and noticed what he pointed out.
"I.....I do..." She paused and listened, looking around till she too noticed the disturbance in the water. "I would sure hope not..." She breathed, feeling her nerves on and as she moved around her companion and slowly, carefully moved to the ledge to look down at the water. Straining her eyes as she crouched to keep her balance, she couldn't see anything immediately, but noticed something break the surface if even for a moment. Looking back she waved Banes over silently, pointing down to where she saw something.
