Ellie heard his promise and ended up hugging him tighter. "Good." She murmured. "It was very frightening to watch as well... I thought you'd never turn back..." When Russ came and picked Tyler up, she helped and took him him to the bedroom. "Just lay him down on the bed, Russ." Once that was accomplished, she had him sit up for a while so she could kneel behind him and place his head in her lap.

((Thanks, Dragon! That's what I was going to do in the compiled version. :3 @Ty: Oh, were you talking about the battle cry? Sorry, I didn't get it :/. Also, I just found out that my Gundam vids were blocked on YouTube! Aargh!))

He had washed off the blood...but the memory of the beast would never leave him.

((=D I'm wanted! Lol. At Silas: What, you've never read the Redwall book series by Brian Jacques? That's what the badger lords yell out when they're in under the influence of the Bloodwrath. D= ))
"Pssh, you're telling me." Nicole frowned and paced to the far side to see the real extent of it. She even saw a dead ghoul on the roof. "Guess who gets to clean this up?" She laughed, but waved the air in front of her, the smell floating up.

((lol I'm sorry, but I've never even heard of those books. *looks them up* oooh, ok. lol I got the idea for berserk mode from something Ellie said in Black Tracks, when she first met the group. She mentioned uncontrollable blood-lust as a third effect to overfeeding on blood, so I decided to use that.))

((Really? Cool. I learned from reading a lot of authors...particularly Jeffrey Deaver and Dan Simmons. In fact, Simmons' Hyperion series was the last thing I read for pleasure.))

At the mentioning of her name, Aivi pokes her head into their room, meek and frightened. "I'm here, daddy..." She replied in a soft, scared tone.
Ellie looked over at their daughter as she stood in the doorway. "What's wrong, honey?" She asked softly, worried about her little girl. When she didn't respond, she sighed a bit. "You saw daddy out there, didn't you?"
Aivi looked down at the ground, hiding behind the door frame more. Just from her stature as she tried to make herself small, one would know that she saw the scene on the battlefield play out. If not outside, then from the window in her bedroom.

"To fight all the monsters, Daddy had to become a monster for a little while. It's over now, I promise!" Tyler said over his labored breathing. It would be quite some time before he fully recovered from the effects of the serum. He held his arms out and gestured for her to come closer.

Zshvago sipped the rest of his tea and looked inside his cup placeing it on the table. "Why do you fight those Black Tracks people even though you have near to no supplies, no weapons, and no morale?"

((No, I actually have never read any of the stuff that was intended for my age-group. lol people always give me weird looks when I tell them I've never read Darren Shan. In elementary school, I was reading suspense novels as thick as my arm.))

Aivi slowly shuffled into the room when he motioned to himself. But, when she was at the bedside, she threw herself on him, sobbing her heart out. She clutched his shirt in desperation, also burying her face into his chest. She never wanted to let him go in fear of him turning into a monster again. Ellie reached a hand out stroke her daughter's hair, which she let out of her little pigtails, relishing and admiring how the strands of silver fell over her shoulders and around her fingers like water. She, herself, had never grown her hair out beyond the length it is now; found it too cumbersome to deal with. But it suited her daughter just fine. As she continued her calming ministrations, she began to sing a song that she heard.

((Nue, I haven't. From any of the three authors just named, actually. I just finished reading a Stephen King book with short stories in it though.))
Nicole shrugged. "I'll drink anything but alcohol. Though I did want to have a snowball fight, until those guys came.
Stryker was stung by those remarks, though they sounded more like mocking accusations in his ears. "Our weapons are ourselves, our morale is fine, and our supplies are fairies. I'm not sure what that lot fights for," He ground his teeth and glared at the floor. "But I fight for revenge."
