Adalwulf hadn't been paying much attention to Marie since she'd opened the cockpit and radioed the base, and Nick hadn't been there. If Nick wasn't there, then that meant he'd most likely been taken, nobody could survive the vacuum of space for long, even with a suit. He scratched at the stubble on his chin. And if he'd been taken, would he have wanted Empros to just float there, the metal easy to salvage, or...Wait, didn't Nick say Empros had an A.I.? He opened the cockpit wider, cursing the fact that he didn't have a suit on like Marie's so he could check properly. Using a camera on screen, he scanned the interior of Empros for something. It wasn't there. He heard ask Marie him something. "We need to go back to base." He said distractedly. "Empros's A.I. component wasn't there, he must have had it with him. If Backdraft did take him, they could probably hack and access anything that it has concerning us. I..." He gulped air, trying to calm himself "I think I know how to get to Nick."

Even though he should've gone to the Mission Report Center to confirm what he'd already said he did, Demyan followed Alucard and leaned on the doorway into the lab. "Well fine then, O Great Mission Giver." He growled, anger coming into his tone. "I completed the mission, damned as it was when you assigned it to me." He took a drag on his cigarette and watched the smoke float up as he spoke. "And I'm already in a not-so-great mood with the technicians yapping in my ear about one thing, and they'll probably come after me to investigate the transmissions problems. So what would you have me do?"

((Nah, if you were left for dead, but you weren't, wouldnt you be angry to?))
Kamon heard the transmission over Spectre's radio. As his eyes widened in shock, he fell backwards, all the while trying to figure out how he could have survived. "B-Byrd.. how is it possible... that blast should have killed anyone inside... Dammit! Why didn't I check better!" He was furious with himself now, if he hadn't been in such a hurry, they could have got him out of Empros, instead of him falling into Backdraft hands. 'We will get him back... Backdraft won't keep him.'

"I say we do both. Attack the plant, then while their defenses are confused, go for Nick." Kamon was leaning against the wall in the meeting room, where everyone was now. "I'll have the Raikou armor ready to switch so we can move fast, and hit hard. I just hope he hasn't given up on us..."

"I don't need any sleep, I'm going to make sure everything will go our way." Kamon walked off after that, heading for the cafeteria. Once there he found a secluded spot where he could think alone while he ate. 'I hope Nick hasn't lost hope in us... If he has... we might have made a powerful enemy because of my mistake of not searching the wreckage thoroughly..'

((yes! strider saves the day. i was getting tired of reading posts from just me and neowing. i'd post for John or Marie, but i kinda gotta wait for Ty and Ky, since my next couple posts are gonna directly involve them. xp ))

Adalwulf agreed with Kamon. He didn't think he'd be able to get any sleep while Nick was at Backdraft. The decoding program had finished with the information and he did a quick run through the diagnostics. Anyone that had picked up on Jack's signal was either heading to the base, or just arriving, so that meant that Chris hadn't noticed anything unusual with the transmissions. He hoped that he'd be with the group going to the Backdraft HQ, and even if he wasn't, he hated being still while something important was coming up. Maybe he could send a signal to Nick in the meantime? That might be too risky though, if he flashed the lights on and off in the Backdraft base, that might set some alarms off. He'd have to ask Kamon about it.

Demyan turned the envelope over in his hands. Oh, how he hated to be called on for errands. He took and breath and let it out as a sigh. "Very well, I'll take it to the lab before heading out. As much as it bugs the hell out of me, I'll do it." He stuffed it into a pocket. "Then I'll go to the refinery. But if there's some better thing to do, I'm coming straight back, comrade." He threw a smart-assed salute, tipped his cigarette so the ash fell on the floor, and slipped out of the doorway, deciding to take the elevator to get to the technician's lab.

"Taikou Arashi, and Arashi good to go... Let's do it." The two suits moved in unison, although Taikou much slower. Every weapon bit hovered around them, half to go with Taikou, half with Arashi. The strain the ZERO system put on Kamon was enormous, but he knew he could handle it. He handed over Arashi's Twin Buster to Taikou, as Arashi was going in close. "Once we get this plant, we should be able to do just about anything we want."
