Varon couldn't quite hear what she said, but it was easily read from her lips, or felt by the expression. He gave her chin a comforting squeeze before retracting his hand, picking up his goblet and holding it up for a brief moment before bringing it to his lips, "I dedicate this drink to you, Master Vamori- may you know much prosperity; and Lady Evie, may the quest to find yourself turn out the greatest of results."
This was accompanied by another large gulp before setting the goblet down hard, his expression somewhat somber. The recollection brought up a storm inside of him- two factions warring: one enraged over having brought up these memories while the other fought to maintain the very control that was granted by the other at the beginning of the night.
His voice seemed to lose its buoyant splendor as he's spoke up, fading back to a faintly moderate optimism, "So, the night is still young. Would you prefer a dance? Pay a visit to the Haunted House, or walk along the maddening corridors of the Hedge Maze and discover its secrets? All of the above, perhaps; or would you rather find a peaceful corner?" Maybe a change in setting and some activity would brighten both of their spirits and rekindle a dying flame.

Evie's face scrunched lightly at the squeeze. She almost wanted to laugh, but she knew it was supposed to be comforting, and it kind of was, despite that it was to her chin and that her cheeks were still flushed. This guy.. didn't really seem so bad though. She hesitated as he spoke, lifting her own drink slightly, and took another small drink as he finished. Drinking toward her own success felt a little selfish as well, but she did it anyway. Why not?
She sipped quietly at it while watching him from over the brim of her glass, noting the almost constant shifts in his demeanor. Reassuring, to somber, to optimistic. "D-dance?" she half choked out, sounding quite alarmed. "Ah... I-I don't know about that... M-maybe one of the others..." Though, maddening corridors didn't sound that appealing either, the idea of a maze was, as long as she'd be able to get out in the end. She hadn't gone through one before. She hadn't really been in a proper haunted house either, and this school, with all of its wonders, should likely provide an interesting one.
She found herself nodding, gently setting her half empty glass beside his upon the table. "A p-peaceful corner does sound nice," she replied with a light smile, one that may have hinted at signs of a joke. "But I'd like to... see the maze or house... or both if we have time..."

Rain thought about what Austin said for a moment before answering him. The lights slowly flashed around them and the song changed every few minutes, still keeping the same tempo as it had before.
"Yeah... i guess it does come in handy sometimes." Rain had always hated the power to read minds and had always preferred her other powers better. But he was right when he said that it comes in handy.
When Rain looked up at Austin she could see that he looked calm and relaxed. She smiled and relaxed herself finally letting all the other voice just flutter away. She was a bit curious about what kind of powers he had, but let that thought leave her head also, not wanting to leave the state of calm she had now.

Austin noticed that Rain was calming down. He was glad things hadn't gone south by this point in the dance.
"Do you wanna...sit down for a bit? You know, to talk some more?.."

Varon nodded, making a small bow before speaking softly, "Your most humble wish is my everlasting command." He walked around to the other side of the desk flicking his goblet away- hitting the wall as a plastic cup and landing on the trash bin. He held out his hand to help her up, "The Haunted House it is, then... we'll clear up a few rooms and head down to the maze before it all closes." After she was up and ready, Varon began to lead her towards the Haunted House exhibition, anxious to test this new event.

Varon's (or Lucien as she knew him by) first statement didn't do a thing to help Evie's blush fade. She just gave him another blank, embarrassed stare, her eyes following his progress around the table. Then her gaze darted to follow the goblet instead, her body giving a faint lurch as it changed and landed in the trash, leaving her slightly awestruck. His outstretched hand snapped her out of it, and she tentatively curled her fingers around his, rising slowly to her feet. Her hand lingered, allowing him to lead her off, as her other fumbled nervously with the large headphones that hung around her neck. This was so embarrassing... She felt so tiny and... out classed. He, with all his magic, and her with her unwanted ability. "S-sounds fun," she offered hesitantly, skipping forward a few steps to walk a little more at his side, but still lightly behind, with her face near parallel to the ground. Still, she did feel a faint stir of excitement over the idea of the haunted house. Who wouldn't?

Rain smiles, happy to see that Austin wasn't mad at her or anything. because she really did feel bad about reading some of his thoughts, even though it wasn't in her control.
"That would be great." Rain says pausing to push some of her long hair out of her face. She looks up at Austin with a smile on her face, as she starts to walk to one of the empty tables close to where they were.

[reply to Ristuka, page 15. So sorry I missed it @ -@;;]
Aki blinked, pausing as the taller girl leaned to sniff her again. She gave her a curious and slightly amused look, with no idea what he meant, yet she didn't question it. She just chuckled as boyishly as she could, and sipped a little more soda. "That's a relief~" she admitted with a grin, still completely unaware of their silent conversation. She knew it was happening, but she didn't know what it was about. Oh well... "I haven't danced before either... Do you wanna do anything else?"
Zexon watched as she leaned over to catch another whiff, and let out a small mental sigh. Thank you for keeping it quiet...

Ristuka flashed a smile for the small speciemen in her hand that she held so delicalty, 'No worries.' She replied reassuringly. And the looked at Aki, "What do people do at dances?" Ristuka questioned feeling almost as alien as well....an alien....
