Dee said, "Finally, you showed up, Raditz! Trunks is pregnant and if you could read your scouter properly, then you'd know that Trunks is in labor right now. He's also playing video games to distract him from the pain."

Getting a bit frustrated that Raditz was not seemingly that concerned, Dee went off in a huff, not forgetting to yank Raditz's tail hard to be a bit better of a parent.

She then flipped on her scouter outside her place and noticed that Rock was over at Vega's place. "Why that little traitor!" She said, forgetting momentarily that her scouter was still on.

She stormed over to Vega's place and banged on the door hard. She shouted, after turning her scouter off, "Rock Alexanderandria Howard Bogard, you did not get mine or Terry's permission to sleep over at Vega's place so you better get your fine jacket and tail over home or so help me, I will send Terry down here and he will not be pleased with you! Just be grateful that I am getting you and not Terry! You know better than just to run off like that! You know how much Terry worries when you don't tell him where you are going! And with what is going on lately, he would have decent reason to worry about you kid! Don't forget who your natural father was and who is after us! Because you can bet your bottom that Jonathan Bogard would hold you hostage or warp your mind just to get to Terry or I! Now, you get home mister right now and wait until Terry gets home! I will inform him not to give him the be nice to Trunks lecture if you just get home and tell him what you want to do! For crying out loud Rock, I am trying my hardest to protect you from someone who is really, really dangerous! You may be only adopted by Terry, but don't forget that I have an adopted child too! William-Tyler Bogard is adopted! My adopted son! I have protected him with my life and then some and look at how famous he is now! Look at how awesome he is! I know your awesome too! But... right now... you are playing with forces you cannot possibly handle! I should know!"

Dee said, "Rock, I totally understand how you feel. You have a free spirit like me. You want to explore, do things on your own without worry and not have anyone else worry about you. However, in dangerous times like these, we must all be in communication with one another. Otherwise, things can go very badly for everyone. And honestly, Rock, the last thing I need is you doing something as foolish as to going over to Vega's place without us knowing. Right?"

She would have gone on, but seeing the look on Rock's face told her that Rock was sorry for what he did.

When Dee saw Rock head to his room she shook her head. She sighed and said aloud into her scouter as a general news report or something, "Sometimes, I think there is a bit too much rebellion in that kid. Rock reminds me of Will when he was younger. Man, Will was rebellious too. The difference was... with Will, it was because he craved attention. I don't think its the same with Rock, and the situation is different."

She began to chop up some fresh turnips to boil in a pot to make some stew. Followed by some carrots and some celery.

Then she said, "It wasn't like when Will was being rebellious there was a chance that he could be brainwashed by some dangerous criminal mastermind worse than Geese. And the last thing I need is for Rock to get brainwashed by Terry's old man Jonathan. I bet Rock didn't even know that Terry had been adopted too. There is sooo much I could tell Rock about Terry that only I know. Stuff that Terry keeps secret. If only there were times when Rock and I could have one on one times."

Placing the rest of the vegetables chopped up into the stew, Dee then reached for a Kleenex for her eyes began to water. And it wasn't because of the onions she chopped up either.

She went on, " I know I could never replace Marie, who was Rock's natural mom, but what am I supposed to do? I want to be close to Rock just like I am supposed to be. It was part of the reason I married Terry. I would love Terry even without Rock, but because Rock is part of the deal, then... then I want to have Rock feel like he's equal. Where is that cool, confident, Rock Howard that I knew in Southtown Finishing school? The one that got me to sneak off to the bathroom during orientation. Where is the Rock Howard that challenged me to a fight at the train station and won? Where is the kid that gave me such cool memories?"

Admittedly, as Dee rambled on now, she wanted Rock to open his door and come down the stairs and start talking with her. Unknowingly, Rock had hurt her more than any enemy ever did.

Rock was, after all, Terry's adopted son. And all Dee wanted was for Rock to feel, to be proud of the decision that Terry made. Instead, from tonight's actions, it was more like Rock didn't even want to be in the Bogard family anymore. It was like he wanted to be the enemy instead of the hero.

Dee turned to see Rock had been crying a bit, and she offered him a chair. She said, "Rock, may I talk with you for a bit? I know something has been bugging you and I want to know what it is. Look, Terry isn't home yet and that means we have some time for a one on one. And I can keep it just between us, if you want."

Dee then asked, "So, what has been bothering you lately? And don't say that its nothing because I can tell you right now that there is something."

She had turned her scouter off and poofed it away to Instant transmission it to her bedroom.

Dee was trying hard not to giggle because of how true that was. Then she managed to snuff out the giggle, and then said seriously, "Rock, I understand how you must feel about that, but there is a reason why Trunks gets so much attention at that school. For one thing he tries really hard to be good at it. Just like you are at Southtown Finishing school, Trunks is really good at Duel Academy. Now for the reason you always seem to get into detention because of something Trunks related is because you are picking on him. Like you may not be even aware of it, Rock, but each and every time you ended up in detention that was Trunks related had something to do with you bullying him in some minor way."

Getting up to stir the stew that was cooking, Dee then said, "But at least I know now what is bothering you. My advice to you is to challenge Trunks in a way by attempting to be better than him at duel monsters. You might not like the game, granted, but its not the game part of it that is the importance here, Rock. Its the fact that it teaches others about sportsmanship and at the same time it teaches you a great deal of math and helps you with problem solving skills. Terry put you in Duel Academy because he wanted your math skills to improve and he thinks it would be good for you to have a decent challenge for a change. One that you think that you cannot beat. Its something that he went through, only on a different and a much more life threatening scale."

Once the stew had been stirred, Dee sat back down at the table. She then said, "Does this help in any way? Look, if you want an adventure that much I can give you an adventure, but son, you really have got to get rid of this jealousy you have over Trunks. This jealously might eventually lead you to killing Trunks in the end and we want to prevent that from happening. Terry would be absolutely heartbroken to know that you killed someone because you were jealous. That jealousy, kid, is in your blood. If you let that build, just like Geese who was your natural father did, you will end up killing Trunks. I am only simply trying to help."

Then Dee thought of something, "Ooh, I have an idea for an adventure. You are going to love this one. Since your father, and I mean Terry isn't home yet, why don't you and I go to Joe Higashi's race track and have ourselves a little bit of a race. My recently rescued Duel runner against your brand new duel runner that I got for you for your birthday."

Revealing a blanketed object, Dee showed Rock the finest looking duel runner anyone has ever seen! She said, "Happy birthday Rock. I know its late in getting to you, but now you can compete with Trunks and I on our level. This bike is equipped to be able to hold monster cards, but you don't have to insert them if you aren't dueling. But, the best part about these things is, the more speed spell cards you put in it, the faster it goes. And... this might get you over your jealousy. Trunks was a bit nervous to deliver these to you himself considering how upset you are at him, but he bought you a brand new set of Turbo duel cards for your birthday and there isn't just one there, but a full 100 decks. He so wants you to be his friend and not his enemy. Oh, and he gave me this card to give to you."

Handing Rock a birthday card that was obviously made by Trunks, Dee said, "Trunks put in extra hours just to make that for you. Now you don't see those kind of siblings much these days let me assure you of that. And sorry for bringing up the topic of Trunks, but my gift went hand in hand with his and I thought maybe a race would cheer you up."
