Charlie nearly went down as his arm knocked her in the gut. But she bit through the pain and turned just in time to dive for his ankle. She grabbed it, twisted and sent him flying to his face.
The only problem was, he was right at what would be the touchdown line.
Which also meant, he won, by literally two ******** that!
Charlie released his leg, knowing he had won technically.
She rolled on her side and clutched her stomach.

Landon opened his eyes, (they had closed on the impact).
Holy ******** s**t, there was a god!
He rolled onto his back and stood up brushing the dirt off his shirt.
Charlie seemed to be...in pain.
Oh yeah, he had hit her.....
"Uh, yeah, good game?" He wanted to run around screaming 'I won' but ya know, good game worked too.

Landon took her hand in his, leading it down his chest and stomach. She trembled slightly. As if this were a big game and she was the pitcher.
Though, she usually played catcher in softball.
But anyway, that nervous gut feeling in the pit of your sttomach yelled up inside of her. She could hear her coachs voice, which was a tad creepy, telling her to rub some dirt on it and get over herself.

How will I know the right way to love you?He stretched out his arms out over his head, not sure if he'd done the same thing a moment ago or not. Jay shrugged inwardly. "Why don't you call him to confirm?" Maddison suggested. "He might've changed his mind."
"I don't think so," Jay replied. "It's pretty important." He thought of Charlie. "I don't think he would've canceled without telling me first."
Was she thinking of coming? Maddison, he knew, was big around the school. He didn't care about her flirting with other guys. He realized he didn't care what she did. Jay did love her, but it was more for her body than anything else. He realized that as well right after they were done the dirty deed. What he was going to do about that, he didn't know. Jay knew that as long as he was thinking about Charlie, their relationship wouldn't work out that well.
