(( run two - beaver balance ))
Paws found dry land again, and he dropped the rope, sending it swinging backward to be used by the next camper, or hit them in the face, whatever.
So, it was the beavers again, how irritating. Lucifer glared, eyes narrowed angrily at the furry creatures. If the log broke under his feet, he really hope it crushed them too.

Since the day before, Nicky had the feeling the next few days might be bad, and looking at the course, he feared he was right. He only had to look at the first part of the course to know that he was most likely screwed. No, he was screwed. Despite his fear and hesitance, he got on his belly, crawling under the barbed wire. His team wouldn't lose this time, he hoped, along with him not somehow choking or something.(hey, it was likely)

(previous post was for the wire crawl, this post is for the cliff climb)
Somehow he had managed to get through the wire crawl with only a few scrapes and what he though was a tear in his shirt (only late]r he would discover it was more of a hole) so he was pretty happy, until he saw...."A cliff!? W-we have to climb it!?" God he hoped this wouldn't be where he died. Yeah he knew they'd probably be safe but he and anything involving climbing have never agreed. Sighing, he started to climb, mentally trying to convince himself to keep focus, and he'd be okay.

Now wearing a small frown, Helena grabbed the rope a second time and swung across. She tried to reach down to grab the other half of her skirt from the jaws of a gator ((maru can you post if she managed to retrieve it, peas?)). She didn't even notice that her skirt now exposed most of her legs. Normally she'd be blushing up a storm and trying to salvage what clothing she had to cover up. But she was more concerned with getting back her precious cloth.

Kaitaia Kaitaia Kaitaia Kaitaia Kaitaia Kaitaia "I need to start going to bed earlier..." Axl mumbled as he followed everyone to... where ever it was they were going. He was too sleepy to notice. He sat his butt down, yawning as he listened to the challenge and nommed on his biscuit.
Still sleepy, he dozed off for a bit, only to be woken up almost immediately by Chef yelling some more. An obstacle course, huh? That was kind of... Insane! Mannnn, he'd never done any of this s**t in his life. Muttering darkly, something he seemed to be doing a lot, he got in line for the first part--the wire crawl. Oh yeah, this is what he came to camp for.
His turn came up, and he looked down at his clothes. ********. At least he wasn't wearing anything too nice. He got down on his hands and knees and flattened himself out so he could shimmy under the wires.
... Awesome. He'd done the first part perfect. It'd taken him a bit, he'd been trying not to snag his clothes, but he'd gotten through it fine. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.
A bit of a grin on his face, he headed for the next part. Climbing a cliff, eh... He could do that. Or at least he hoped so. Looking up at the looming rock, he bit his lip, then steeled himself for the ascent, and just went for it. Heh! Axl reached the top without a problem. Turns out he was better at climbing cliffs than he was climbing trees! That, or Lady Luck had just been on his side. He'd found all the perfect hand holds and foot rests. Whatever it was, he was pretty proud of himself. He'd have to brag to Jay about that one!
His grin was a bit wider now as he jogged his way over to the next part, the creek with the gators. Having already spent the better part of an afternoon in a gator's mouth, he wasn't all that scared. When the rope came to him, he rubbed his hands against a non-muddy spot on his pant leg and grabbed it, getting a running start before he swung himself across. Well, that didn't work out for him. He didn't make it all the way across the river before he tumbled in the water. Cursing and swearing, he swatted at a gator that came toward him, glaring at it. Did he think he could fend them off with a well-pointed look? Who knew. He wasn't going to wait around to see if it worked though, he booted it back to the riverbank to try it again. This time he put enough force into it, and sailed across the river. He let go of the rope when he was sure he would make it safe across and landed, somewhat gracefully even, on his knee on the far side of the bank. "Yesssssssssssss." He punched the air, did a bit of air guitar and a little shimmy, then made his way over to the next part.
Oh man. Beavers. He didn't like those little buggers. Man, he lived in Canada, and he didn't like them. Shuddering a bit, he took a deep breath and climbed up on the log, getting ready to scurry across as fast as he could. THUNK! Something hit him, and he cried out. Aw ********. It was probably a beaver. Yeah, it was definitely a beaver. He whirled around trying to find the thing so he could kick it away. In his panic, he stumbled and got hit again, another loud thunk to the chest. As he was falling off, he realized what had hit him--a ******** seagull. If he hadn't been looking for the non-existent beaver... He probably could have made it.
Cursing and swearing, he made his way back for another try. Oh, the curses and swears that came from his mouth this time. In his hurry to get across, he'd slipped himself. Nothing pushed him over. In fact, he would have sworn the beavers were laughing at him.
He steeled himself again. Goddamn log, he was crossing it this time!

(( run three - wire crawl ))
Arms crossed, he watched, debating if he should bother with the course again. Heh, once may have been enough, twice, whatever, but the idea of a reward was tempting. What would the prize be? Hmph, fine, may as well do it again, he was strong enough, this stupid course didn't scare him.
To the wire fence again, this time his tail tucked, he did not want a repeat of his last run.

Serena was tired, but rubbed her eyes to make sure she saw what she thought she did. Nope this wasn't a dream.. or rather a nightmare. However, she just smirked. At least it would be challenging! Serena rolled up her sleeves and pants and got down to begin her crawl. This would be hard but she had to try! Ugh already she was getting dirty.. but she didn't care.

(( run three - cliff climb ))
He was through the fence, and this time without catching his tail, good. Had that happened again, well let's just he would have been furious and might have started setting his own land mines in the course.
To the cliff, again, oh goody. This time he did not pause as he had before, but simply went for the wall. He just wanted to get up the cliff and to the next obstacle, or he did, until he remembered what it was.

(( run three - gator pit ))
He had made it up the cliff, a note to himself that he should wait longer between course runs, those last few feet had been a struggle.
Lucifer growled, it seemed he always growled when he reached this stage. Damned gators, damned water, he really hated it. His paws flexed as he grasped the rope, wrapping it around one paw in the hopes that it would strengthen his grip.
Here we go again...

Serena, now thoroughly covered in mud, and dirty looked up at the cliff and glared at the top. Just fantastic. She knew that they planned them to get nice, slippery and muddy before this climb. She growled, and began to work her way up. At least there was some mattresses and... were those people under them?! Oh these poor people... Ah well! On her way to the top!

(( run three - beaver balance - epic fail ))
He was clear of the pit, and again, let the rope fall back behind him. Hey, if another camper got smacked in the face, it was their own fault for not looking ahead, hmph.
Beavers, seagulls, which was worse? Hmmm, maybe if he ran through this stage on all fours he'd do better, maybe it would make the seagulls easier to dodge.

Oh man she was shocked she had actually made it over the cliff but she had almost slipped so many times. And now they wanted her to do what? Oh they had to be kidding with this stuff! She gripped the rope tight in paws, trying to keep her cool. Serena knew if she worried, it was more likely for her to fall and this was NOT a challenge she wanted to fall during! She closed her eyes and did her best to try and swing over..!

(( run three - beaver balance - take 2 ))
ARRRGGGG!!!
It was a sickening sound, the log cracking beneath his paws. Clearly running on all fours had -not- been a good idea! Or maybe the log had simply been wore down by one too many runs across it. Either way, Lucifer's ears fell, a loud crack!, and he was crashing into the pit along with the log.
"Get me the ******** out of here!"
Growl! He might have felt he was going to drown in those damned balls, sprawled on his back along with bits of broken wood. Damn it...
Finally, he managed to drag himself from the pit. Across the log again...

Serena had barely made it across the pit of snapping jaws. She was shocked she had made it at all! However the next challenge made her stare at the pit. Really now? And the seagull gun made her eyes go wide.. Oh crud. Well, here goes nothing! Serena did her best to walk across the log, keeping her balance, and dodge those seagulls. Crazy people.
