When Samiel had mentioned that no dark magic users were allowed, Lia had sensed a kindred spirit in this man and had said, "Well, thank God for that rule. Now Danni can't ruin another interesting place. She's our disowned baby sister, deep into all that horrible dark stuff. Thank God we've finally found a place where we can escape from all that." She said, and missed the look Ambrose sent her way. Ambrose then nodded in thanks when Samiel began to walk away.

He took a quick look around his quarters, knowing Lia was best when it came to making a guest room a temporary home. He had questions, all right. Sure, not all of them were necessarily related to elf life, but they were questions all the same. Still, he did have a few more serious ones, ones he planned to take up with Samiel. He seemed to be the reasonable sort, Ambrose thought. Surely the man would understand Ambrose's thoughts...

Samiel had heard what Lia had said about a younger sister right before he had entered his house. They had a younger sister who used dark magic? If that wasn't troubling enough, there was also the fact that if she was their biological sister, then that would mean that she was also part Elf.

A Dark Elf....

Samiel had to forcefully withhold a shiver that wanted to move up his spine at the thought. Dark Elves were rare, but they were out there, and they were utterly vicious. And lethal. Well, he would not worry his family with this. He would talk with Ambrose about this matter later, when his family was not around.

He then put that matter to the back of his mind so that he could enjoy having his daughters home for the weekend. When he walked into his home, she beamed at the sight before him. His lovely wife was at the stove cooking Alfredo that would be garnished with fresh Spinach while 3 of his daughters were locked into a tight embrace and laughing merrily. It sounded as if bells were ringing in his house. He had missed this greatly.

And then, 2 young Elven toddlers, little boys, came racing into the living room, giggling and running around their 3 sisters. They wanted to be a part of the celebration, too!

Meanwhile, Danni's weekend was being spent much differently. Unable to find Dymetri, she'd muttered under her breath and decided to fulfill some of her monthly duties. She worked not for the devil, but for the elders, a little known group of people who were even above Satan himself, secret and preferred it that way. Though the devil wanted her head, she still worked for the elders as a collector once a month, and today was the day.

As a collector, she took the form of a spirit, flitting through the spirit portals of the world to find her destinations. Many knew her as the Grim Reaper here, but that was just human b.s. There wasn't actually only one 'grim reaper' who went around collecting souls'. There were several collectors, both angel and demon, who were assigned to collect the souls of the dying when their time came. It was a horrible job, but necessary if she wanted to move up in her dark magic status.

However, today her mind was on other things as she sighed behind her skull mask, slicing a young man's soul from his body and casting it into a hell portal. Seriously, she thought, how could a man so young have decided he'd rather rape women than respect them? It was sick. But then again, that's why he was going to hell. That's what ODing did to you, after all. However, her main thoughts were focused on the fact that Ambrose had said she was part elf.

Elves, she thought. The dark magic and violence hating peacful creatures who didn't understand dark feelings. God, she thought, she made a terrible elf. An elf who used dark magic and was wanted by Satan...Well, wasn't this just a lovely twist?...s**t.

After Lia had finished unpacking all of their things, Ambrose led her out and towards Samiel's house. He went with the excuse of meeting more elves, but in reality he missed Lin. With this in mind, and the reminder to act normal and polite, he stood at Samiel's doorstep and knocked once, a single hard rap that was sure to catch one's attention.

Just a few moments after Ambrose had knocked, the front door to Samiel's house opened and Samiel stood there smiling brightly to both Ambrose and Lia while one of the young toddler Elves was in his arms.

"Hello Lia, Ambrose. Please, come in. I have already filled in everyone as to who you are and why you are here. They are all anxious to meet you. Please come in."

He stood to the side to let them in. The livingroom simply looked like one out of a normal house. Nothing flashy or showy. And it connected directly to a row of counters that were a part of the kitchen.

While Samiel stood there, he began introductions. He nodded to the child in his arms, who was playing with his father's long dark, silky hair.

"This is Briar. He is 4 years old in human years. His older brother is over at the long dining table over there. He is 6 and his name is Onyx."

Then, there was a voice that sounded heavenly. It was Lin's mother, and she was turning around from the counter with a bowl of Alfredo in her hands. She walked over to the table and put it on the top. She smiled serenely at her guests.

"And I am Rose. It is truly a pleasure to meet you both. Lindolyn, be polite and introduce our guests to your sisters."

Lin, who was standing in the middle of the livingroom talking with her sisters, blushed brightly as her mom used her full name. She was the only one that ever used her full name. However, she respectfully nodded.

"Of course, Mother."

She then smiled brightly at Ambrose and Lia and gestured to both of her sisters. "Lia, Ambrose, these are my sisters Gwendolyn and Kember."

Both sisters curtsied politely in greeting.

((So...CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!...I have a thing for little kids...so cute...))

Ambrose shook the hands respectively when he was introduced to the two little boys, and bowed and kissed the hands of each of the women he was introduced to. "We're honored to be allowed in your home today. I'm sure we'll have a very pleasant visit." He sai, and Lia curtsied to each member of the family, smiling. "Pleased to meet you. You have a lovely home." She said honestly, admiring the interior.

((I'm glad you like them! biggrin It's hard to find pictures of young, male Elves! lol.))

Gwendolyn had blushed when Ambrose had kissed her hand and Kember had smiled and actually winked at him. Lin, of course, elbowed Kember lightly in the side, not even having to see her sister's face to know what she had done. Lin couldn't help but smirk at her sister's actions.

Onyx had nodded and shook hands shyly and quickly with Ambrose, and Briar had smiled happily and bounced in his father's arms at the arrival of new people.

Rose gestured to the set table with the food now on it. "Please join us for supper, Ambrose and Lia. And please do not feel the need to be so formal. I am very pleased to see the wonderful manners you have, but I wish for you to feel at ease here. I hope you like Alfredo and asparagus. Lindalyn, Kember, please help your brothers into their booster seats. Gwendolyn, please get water for everyone."

The girls did this, Lin taking Briar from her father's arms and joining Kember in putting her brothers in their booster seats beside each other. Then, she sat down by Kember and an empty seat. She thought that Ambrose and Lia might feel more comfortable if one of them got to sit next to her since they knew her the best.

It took barely more than a moment to have Ambrose zeroing in on the empty chair next to Lin. Before Lia even took her first step, he was already taking huge strides and planting himself right next to her, attempting and succeeding in looking nochalant about the whole thing. "Thank you, Mrs. Yin. And yes, Alfredo and asparagus is wonderful." He said, already relaxing.

Rose smiled brightly at Ambrose. "Wonderful! Then have as much as you want! I am very glad you enjoy both Alfredo and asparagus."

Lin nodded and smiled at Ambrose. "Maybe that is his Elven side coming out, Mom. Everyone knows that an Elf's favorite dish is Alfredo and asparagus."

She and her sisters, as well as their father, laughed softly at what Lin said. True, Alfredo and asparagus was a favorite of most Elves, but every Elf was different and all liked different things, just like humans did.

Lin reached over and handed the bowl of Alfredo over to Ambrose so that he and Lia could serve themselves first.

Automatically Ambrose passed the bowl to his sister first, an ingrained habit that hadn't died off. She passed it to him, and as he passed it to Lin, their fingers brushed for just a split second. But that second was enough to have Ambrose suddenly adoring Alfredo. He glanced at the bowl that had led to the physical contact and decided it should be bronzed and put on a silver pedestal.

Lin had smiled when she saw Ambrose immediately pass the bowl to his sister first. That was so kind of him. He put family first, even ahead of himself. She loved it when people did that.

Samiel had noticed Ambrose do this as well and was also quite pleased. It was a true sign of a man's character when he put others before himself, especially so automatically. It meant he did this on a regular basis.

He had noticed something else even more, though. He had seen the small looks Ambrose had been secretly giving his daughter. Yes, he was being quite subtle about it, but Samiel was very perceptive. He had to be in order to be an elder and a father of such a large brood.

Someone was smitten with his daughter. Well, this was quite a pleasant turn of events. Ambrose seemed to be a very polite and kind young man, and he was part Elf. Even better. Of course, as long as his children fell in love with good, honest people who did not use dark magic and who put their family first, that really was all Samiel could ask for. When that individual turned out to have Elven blood, it was a wonderful bonus.

He would have to find out more about Ambrose, however, if he was taking a liking to Lin.

"RA you get your bro I'll get the guards." He dashed up the walls of the vents scaling it with long striding leaps. The darkness seemed to move from above him to below him as the occasional vent provided some light. He reach the floor he wanted crouching down in a cat like pose slowly creeping towards the open vent. That vantage point allowed him to see the hallways, ra was right his info was outdated and useless. Guards were everywhere, they travled in pairs and constant radio chatter filled the halls. They were all equipped with the suits from before and Assault rifles. "This could be extremely tricky," He told himself tightening his grip on his daggers.

During the meal, Ambrose turned to Samiel, waited til their eyes met. "Sir, if you don't mind, I'd love to ask you a few questions after the meal. If that's not a problem, of course." He added, not wanting to seem anxious about anything. He'd learned from watching Lin that some elves could be...sensitive when you questioned the way they carried out thigns. But he just wanted to understand...He couldn't understand if he didn't ask. He just hoped Samiel would understand that.
PostPosted: Tue Jul 21, 2009 12:36 pm

Samiel nodded in response to Ambrose's question. "I would be happy to answer your questions, Ambrose. I have a few of my own. However, tomorrow would be a more productive time. Tonight, there is a welcome party being held in you and your sister's honor." He smiled.

Lin, Kember, and Gwendolyn all gasped at the same time and looked at their father in surprise. Then, again at the same time, all 3 looked at each other, slowly smiled brightly at each other, and then burst out in excited conversation.

"A party! Oh how wonderful!"

"Oh Lin, while I was at Bai Ching, I went shopping with some friends and bought a dress that will look perfect on you!"

"Oh Gwendolyn you shouldn't have! Thank you! I have a necklace for you that will look perfect with your dark rose dress! And Kember, I have beautiful earrings that will accent your green hair perfectly!"

"Lin! How thoughtful of you! You know how I adore earrings, but it is so hard to find some that do not clash with my hair!"

Samiel was chuckling softly at his daughters. It truly seemed like old times to have them sitting around the table and excitedly talking about an upcoming party and what they were going to wear.

Rose, meanwhile, simply gave a small smile and softly said, "Girls, not at the dinner table. You may discuss how to get ready for the party after we have eaten and cleared the table. And Lia, if you wish, I am sure the girls would be more than happy to help you get ready with the clothes that are in your wardrobe in the guest quarters. Some of the dress robes can be confusing when it comes to knowing in which order they are supposed to be put on."

The girls immediately stopped chatting when their mother asked them to, and then they beamed happily and nodded at Lia. Of course they'd be glad to help her if she wished it!

Rose continued. "And Ambrose, Samiel would be more than happy to help you get ready. If the robes for either of you do not fit, I can fix them for you in plenty of time for the party."

Samiel nodded and smiled proudly and lovingly at his wife. "Yes, Rose is a very fast sewer. She could have both of your robes measured and resewed 2 hours before the party begins."

Rose blushed a light pink and said, "Samiel..." She then laughed softly and shook her head at her husband's compliments.

Lin, meanwhile, was smiling happily at how her parents acted with each other. She had missed being around that type of love. People who were not around Elves that much would think that her parents' love was subtle. However, all Elves would see the love pouring out of both of them. Elves loved on a deeper level than most other creatures. Once you found your soulmate, there was no other person for you on the planet, and you would stay with that person literally forever, since Elves did not die under normal circumstances.

Elves in true and mature love were completely faithful to each other. That is why Elves did not marry until they were at least 25 in human years. Young Elves did not know enough about the world or themselves to know when love was true or simply a fleeting attraction.

If you wanted to have the best marriage and relationship you could ever have hoped for, though, you wanted to marry an Elf. Lin could see the love radiating between her mother and her father. It hurt her somewhat to know that she and Dymetri could never live here in the city and sit at her parents' table, looking at each other with the same expressions on their face that her parents had. It was just one of the many sacrifices she knew she'd have to make to be with him. But she loved him, so any sacrifice in the end was something she could easily make.

"Of course," Ambrose replied, smiling not so much at the thought of the party, but of the thought of Lin in a new dress. Oh, the flattery he could dish out about a new dress...

"It's so very kind of you to do this for us." He continued, smiling at the whole family in general while Lia perked up considerably at the thought of a party and new clothes.
