Trickmaster's eyes twinkled in a way to reveal he was smiling. "I suppose that it always make people wonder and worry the first time one see's the "new" moon. That's the term some people use for the moon when it is cloaked." Trickmaster said. "If the moon had vanished... then things wouldn't go so well."

Akira nodded sadly. "Yes, if there was no moon..." She stopped nibbling her lip worriedly. Now that she wasn't there she worried about what was happening there. "I hope nothing happens," She said softly.

Alex hugged Calisto as the wind spirits mischievously tickled his nose and ear. He swatted unconsciously at them as they giggled while playing with him. He nuzzled into Calisto more closly as though she were cover from the silly little spirits. His face drew close to hers as he got closer.

Nadia smiled as she saw her prospective love birds just sleeping. She’d attack them while they rested. She’d launch two daggers at Calisto’s back as she decided to vanish once again from sight. She hated the water and would not remain to be found.
Calisto sensed something and knew it would mean danger for both Alex and herself. She’d immediately kiss him upon the lips so that with what she was about to do he’d have air. She’d have the element of water take them both into its loving caress and safety. Just in time too, the daggers would barely miss Calisto and Alex. She’d open her mouth just slightly so that he’d have air to breathe while blushing at the same time that she’d having to do this at all.
Nadia didn't like that Calisto went into the water but would dive in after her as she would throw two more daggers this time hitting her mark with one of them into Calisto's shoulder whom was shielding Alex. Nadia would vanish to the shore of the lake as she giggled. She'd look at Akira and the others. "Well the precious one you all protect so highly will bleed to death down there, let's see you all protect her now! Let's play!"

"The moon will be fine," Ewan replied, gently ruffling Akira's hair. "Trust me."
When the assassin came to the shore, he approached Nadia, a dangerous smile crossing his face. "It is unwise," he said as a darker aura surrounded him, "to harm my patients, milady. It is my business to save lives, after all."

Alex's eyes came open as Calisto's lips pressed against his and the water sucked them into its embrace. He blushed bright red as the girl he cared for recently was pressed against his lips. Was he still sleeping and having a dream?
Then came the pain as he saw that woman again. Those despicable daggers came at them again and one of them bit into Calisto. Alex's ire rose as the woman tested Alex's patients and calm attitude.
Great spirits of the lake I Alexander Solace call upon you to give me strength to protect those who require it. "Alex intoned as he felt a swell of power from the tranquil lake spirits suddenly surging into Alex like a river. His eyes took on a blue glow as he felt the lake spirits within him. Suddenly Calista and he floated to the surface with a barrier created of constantly fluctuating water surrounded them both.

Calisto kept close to Alex as she reached back to remove the dagger. It wasn’t barbed so she could pull it out with ease. The bleeding ended the moment she pulled it out because she was casting a healing spell at the same time. Her eyes noted the barrier formed around them. She felt safer with Alex as she looked in the direction of Nadia.
“Tough talk for someone standing on the side-lines.” Nadia grinned wickedly as she stood there. Her eyes had a look that said she would not stay long at all. She would teleport again as she threw more daggers in everyone’s direction aiming to hurt anyone that got hit by them.
“Protect and Heal!” Calisto pleaded with the elements of water and wind to protect and heal those that would be hit by the daggers. Her eyes even said this as she continue to hold Alex gently before her eyes felt a little heavy. She’d stay conscious only because she had healed the wound in time.

Alex held Calisto protectively as the wind slowed the daggers down so the water barrier could easily deflect them away from the two of them.
No this was to real to be a dream Alex thought to himself. Calisto's body felt very warm against his as he suddenly blushed bright red at the thought that he pulled her so close to him instinctively.

Calisto held Alex gently as she painfully would remain against him. She tried not to slip back into the water below them because of how weak she felt from protecting everyone. She knew the assassin had left, but the attack on everyone else was draining her of energy. She was having troubles staying upon the surface of the water as she asked the water spirit for help with this to move Alex and her closer to the edge of the lake so that at least they could stand up.

Trickmaster's eyes narrowed and immediately took a dark tone and he lashed his arm backwards, throwing several of his own knives to intercept the attacks headed toward him. He heard the satisfying clangs as each dagger countered a knife and the soft thuds of the blades as they stabbed into the ground. "Amateur." Trickmaster commented, referring to the wouldn be assassin. "And I thought assassin's were supposed to be well trained with their weapons. I guess the don't know what standards are anymore." He said with a shrug as he casually retrieved his own knives.

Akira giggled at first, then she realized the danger they had fallen into. She wanted to follow Ewan, but was very nervous herself. She knew she would help in the care of a fight. There were some powers that she possessed, but she wasn't sure if it would work like it had on the moon. Akira wondered what this woman's weakness was. She found herself wanting to help too.

Alex scanned the area for any presence of the enemy as he made sure Calisto did not fall ino the lake. After not seeing or feeling her in the immediate area he decided to head back to shore.
"It's okay Calisto I got you." Alex said as he walked across the water surface to the shore while holding her firmly against him.
"Thank you great lake spirits for your protection." Alex said smiling as he released the power and stepped onto land with Calisto.

Calisto nodded as she held onto Alex. She was able to walk luckily with him, and was glad to be on the shore. She shivered only a little. She had lost a little more blood, but with rest she would be alright. Her body was feeling heavy, but understandably so. She needed to sit down and rest. The dagger was already out of her body, but the wound area still hurt.
“Thank you.” She’d kiss Alex upon the cheek gently before seeming to fall asleep in his arms from pure exhaustion. Her body would even show this level of exhaustion as she laid up against him.

Having reverted to his usual demeanour, Ewan returned to Akira's side. "One thing's for sure," he said, "that demon is certainly keeping us on our toes. We'll have to maintain our guard; there's no telling when she'll strike again.
As an aside to Calisto, though he knew she was sleeping. he added, "You handled that quite well, young lady."

Akira nodded, "I do not like her." She said softly, but meaning every word of it. She hugged Ewan, "Are you alright?" She asked him. He had confronted the woman head on. "How do you do that?" She inquired amazed. "You are amazing. Will you teach me to fight?"
