“Oh dear, I didn’t know she was barefooted. That could be a problem for us in the restaurant. Let’s get her some new shoes first shall we. They have a store for shoes right next door to the restaurant. I’ll pay for the shoes so that she doesn’t have to go around barefooted.” Melanie’s eyes held deep concern for the girl as well as she looked at Lance and Raven.

Jack had calmed down and watched the exchange between Amos and Laurell. He wondered about what was entailed in becoming one of the clan of theirs.

Distracted from his thoughts by something brushing his leg. Looking down he noticed Kaz's tail twitching and flipping as if she were angry. Yet she still laid there as still as ever. He sighed sadly and picked her paw up and grasped it tightly in his own. "Please wake up soon my love. Even if it is only to complain again about the cruelty and inhumanity of teh world, just live baby."

The blackness subsided once more as Kaz now saw again the fight, the fight she had fought for her mother and herself. Seeing the struggle as a spectator she finally realized that she has done the best that she could. The fight had lasted for a few hours, until they were both worn out exhausted.

Finally understanding that, he vision continued through the past few years, only in fast forward. Jack's proposal, their marriage, the welcome home party. When it came to teh most recent few days it slowed to normal speed. She saw herself crying as Nyma rose from the ground and sacrificed herself for the town.

Suddenly it changed from HER aspect to that of Nyma's. She saw the meeting of the two angels. She felt what Nyma had done. She had given her power to the new angel, Melanie, so the cycle could be broken. Melanie was determined to see that it was. Suddenly the awareness hit her, Nyma was gone, but yet she still lived on, only as someone else. The images became clear and she saw Jack screaming out to her, and lifting her up, crying into her fur. Then she could have sworn that she heard Nyma's voice, 'It is time Kaz, wake up. You are needed.'

Blinking her eyes Kaz felt something gripping her hand so tight that she could not feel her fingers. Flexing her hand to try to free it from the death grip, she noticed it was Jack. She heard his last words, "Live? Just live? Boy I ain't dying that easy on your a**. I don't want to leave you. I just had not realized how important everything and one was to me. I had to be reminded unfortunately."

Jack started as he felt Kaz's paw struggle against his. When she finished speaking he realized that his eyes had started tearing up again. Puncing he garbbed her in his arms and hugged her to his chest holding her gently yet tightly at the same time. "Good, don't ever scare me again like that. I need you, you are my life, without you I am nothing but a hunting and killing machine. If not fir you, that is all I would have in my life."

Seshuyin was only in arms reach of the city when he ran closer and closer until he hit something that felt like a wall. He rebounded from that and slid on the ground back a bit. He blink a bit while laying on his back, not knowing what just hit him with a dumbfounded look on his face. Sitting up, he noticed the barrier surrounding the city, "D*mn, and so close too." Seshuyin rose up, holding his face in pain from the impact and walked up to the barrier to inspect it. He knocked on it a little like it was a door and sighed. Grabbing a small rock at the side his foot and thought of experimenting a little. He started by throwing the rock to the barrier, in which it phased through to the other side. Seshuyin continued to blink with a dumbfounded expression on his face. He looked up to see a bird flying overhead and it passed through the barrier and into the city, "Great, just great! Somehow they made a barrier in anticipation of my arrival...there must be another way in." The pupils in Seshuyin's eyes changed once more into spirals as he looked around the protected city for another way in.

Raven nodded, "I will be right back then." She took off running, her bare feet tapping lightly against the dirt ground. She really was a fast runner. "Alright, I won't get hurt!" She called back before she turned a corner, hoping she was heading towards Lance's home.

"Hello sir. Why do you choose to harm the people of this city." came a feminine voice from behind a tree. Amelia came out from behind the tree as Seshuyan sat on the ground. Her face showed worry as she looked at him.

Raven lifted herself off the ground with her wings, gliding over the ground. She giggled as the air tickled her. She was amazed that she had been able to find the house so quickly and easily. She hurried inside her open window and, grabbing her shoes, she took off in flight back to the restaurant. She found it again, and with it Lance and Malanie. "I'm back." she said landing lightly on the ground, completely out of breath.

"Thank you!" Raven chirped. "So are we going to go in and see the fishes?" She asked, her youthful eyes gleaming with excitement. She slipped the shoes over her feet. "I am ready to go."

"Well I am afraid I can not allow you to harm the people of the city. Papa would not be happy if people were put into harms way." Amelia said as she got closer to Seshuyin. "Is there any way I can convince you to give up your ambitions of destruction?"

Lance felt an ominous feeling for a moment before returning his focus to the two angelic girls. "Of course we can go in. Don't be silly." Lance said as he smiled toward both of them.
