"Oh, he did?" she asked yawning and stretching before laying once again against Sakura. Mara blushed, "OH, have I? I'm glad it feels nice at least." She resumed the hug, nuzzling her cheek against Sakura. "Hugging you feels nice, it sort of feels like hugging my mother." Mara said, her forehead wrinkled as she tried to remember her mother.

“We have to go now Mara dear.” Picking Mara up, she’d begin running as instructed by Gouki. She’d get far enough away before stopping to see what was going on. Her eyes would go wide to see why. Something was coming.

Toki landed on the ground, still yelling as he landed. "Spiteful creatures, why do you do this? I!" His yells broke out into sobs, "I just want a friend. Just..." He calmed his voice slightly, "Friend." He stood on his back legs and curled himself into the air. Standing there, he simply stared down at the forest below him.

"F-Friend?!" Gouki exclaimed in surprise.
"I caught you spying on my family! How was I supposed to react in this situation?!" Gouki said irritated at the dragon. Gouki was not sure if it was a trap or not. He had never seen something like this over sized lizard before. He wasn't even sure if he could defeat something like it.

"Gouki-chan!" Mara called to him. She tried to wiggle free of Sakura's arms. She was afraid, why had Sakura run. She was confused, drugged by sleep. She eyed Sakura with confusion, worry. "Don't hurt me!" She begged her, tears starting to fall down her cheeks. "I just want to go back to Gouki-chan, then I will not bother you anymore, don't hurt me." The fearful child said.

“Listen Mara, Gouki told us to run. That is what I did. It is for our safety. I won’t be harming you Mara. Instead I am protecting you.” Her words came softly as she only hugged Mara to show her concern, not to harm Mara. Her cheek would be against Mara’s as she tried to soothe Mara’s tears. A small lilting tune would be hummed as she sat there.

"Yes. Sorry if it bothers you," Toki replied to the man below him. He lowered himself to the height of the treetops, twisting and curling into a distressed knot. "They are related to you? That girl with cat's ears, she looks..." He thought on this for a long, awkward moment, "Similar to someone I met before." He lay one of his massive claws on the top of a tree to his right, trying to keep himself balanced.

Gouki looked surprise for a moment at the dragon's words.
"Similar did you say? Why don't we both relax and you go ahead and make yourself less scary so we can discuss things in a calm manner." Gouki said calmly. "If you promise not to hurt any of us then I promise I won't hurt you."

Kyoji shook Cho gently. "Its morning, Cho." He said with a smile, wanting to run his hand through her hair. "I did some hunting and I have some stew going right now." He said moving back to to the fire and stirring it.

Mara, still lost in the world of sleep, hugged Sakura. "Where is Gouki-chan?" she asked Sakura once she had settled down a bit. Her tears had dried up by now. "What is chasing us?"
Cho opened her eyes and rose her hand to block out the sun that shone in her face. She smiled for a moment enjoying it's warmth. It seemed like it had been years since the sun had shown directly upon her. She sat up scratched and looked up at Kyoji. "Good morning Kyoji." she said to him brightly. "You didn't wake me up." she said softly, "You must be tired." She smelled the soup that was out cooking. "But your soup does smell wonderful. Is there anything I can do to help you?" She asked yawning once.

Toki quickly changed into his human shape, dropping to the forest floor on his side. "I will sit faraway," He replied, climbing up a tree to watch Gouki walk. He tripped over a stray branch and fell to the ground, face first. Embarrassed, Toki hid behind a tree.

Once Gouki was sure everything was safe. He called out to the others.
"Okay everyone! It's safe to come back! Turns out our little surprise was as surprised as we were." Gouki yelled out so the others could hear. He continued to look at the tree that Toki hid behind as though he would suddenly jump ou to try surprising him,

Mara wiggled to get free from Sakura, she wanted to run to Gouki. She finally jumped free and as fast as she could she ran towards her big brother. "I am so glad to have you back!" She cheered. "It is so wonderful!" She hugged him tightly, rubbing her cheek against his leg.

Gouki was trying to keep Toki's location in his sight but instinctively looked down to Mara. She was so adorable he couldn't help but bend down and hug his sister. "I'm glad you are back to Mara. Sorry about the scare."
"Are you still there Toki? I swear you won't be harmed if you continue to be nice." Gouki said as he returned his attention to the trees.

Sakura would nod as she made her way back. Her body was tired again, but she could not help it as she sat down near Gouki and Mara. She was glad that Gouki was fine and that she was able to protect Mara without an episode occurring. She did not know when the next one would be and her powers would go out of control.
