"Can You please stop by my house some time day and grab a few pairs of clothes, my brush, and a toothbrush? I would really appreciate it. " She coughed once, her thought dry and scratchy. "And, Umm if you could not tell John that I asked you to do this that would be sweet." She did not want john to know she was needing anything, he had wanted to be helpful earlier, and she had kind of pushed him away, now it might just hurt his pride that she was asking Beth to do things for her.

John listened to Beth's side of the conversation as she spoke. He stayed silent for a little and then looked over to Beth,"So... is she ok?" he asked. He hoped Lilly hadn't heard him, even though she probably did. John kicked the ground below him, scuffing the bottom of his foot against the ground as he did so. John stood at the passengers side door to Beth's car as he waited for her to unlock it and answer his question.

"Sure, I'll swing by later," Beth replied, then smiling at John she said, "Seeya," and hung up. "She's fine, just telling me about what happened," she replied. She unlocked the car, "How about... the carnival?"

"Ok... I'm.. I'm happy she's ok." he said and hopped into Beth's car,"Sounds good to me." John sat in her car and waited for her again. His hands were in his lap and stayed quiet. He didn't know what to say to Beth. She was Jake's girlfriend... what was she supposed to do with him in a coma anyway?

Beth got into the car, looking at him. "Something wrong John?" she asked.

"No." he said and looked over to her, his hands still in his lap,"I think I'm just a little worn out. But I'm ok." John leaned his head against his hand that he had rested on the door of the car and looked out of the front window.

Lauri waited while Lilly was on the phone. When the call was done she said "Well, Lilly, it seems like you have everything under control, so I'm going to go. I have other patiens to see, you know?" She winked. "If you need anything, feel free to call." She got up and walked out of the room.

Lilly was about to say something, but the line went dead, she had heard someone's voice in the background, so she must be out doing something. Lilly sighed and hung up the phone, leaning back in the bed and watching the I.V. over her drip. Lilly's mind wandered, she wondered where John had gone, he said he would be back soon and she missed him. She was increasable bored, and a little sad that John had most likely abandoned her, but she could not blame him. He was the one who had the hardest time visiting the hospital; just the idea of a hospital was hard for him. she went To touch her side where she had been stitched up to fell it covered in bandage. it was soft and fluffy, not what she was expecting. She wished she had her MP3 or something to occupy her mind.

She smiled at him, "Okay," she began to drive, relaxing a bit. She liked spending time with John, it was kind of nice.

He nodded his head after she spoke,"So yeah. no your hair really does make you look fat Beth." he said looking at her out of the corner of his eye and smirked a little. John sat back up in his seat.

She looked at him, "Would you rather go sit around a hair salon for half an hour or more with nothing but People magazine... or do you want to go to the carnival with games and corn dogs?"

"haha." John laughed and rolled his eyes at her comment,"I'm for either." he stuck his tongue out at her,"Hey now though... if you crash... You can't blame me. I mean I know I have a pretty face and I know you can't stop looking at it," he paused,"But it's ok. I like admirers."

"uuhhmmm... I wanna play punt the girl driving this car." he said jokingly to her, John moved to face her in case she had decided to hit his arm or something,"But if not that then we could always just walk around until we find something." he suggested.
