((The Hellspawn are already attacking? How does Zack know there nature? They can't sit still for very long. Anyway, I wanted Saint Dane to make a grand appearance when they were in the town, but, never mind.))

Saint Dane was a little annoyed. The Hellspawn had disobeyed his orders, they were supposed to wait. Shaking his head, Saint Dane summoned a dark portal and teleported right in front of Erik.

Erik was a little surprised to see Saint Dane come out of no where. Okay, surprised isn't the right term. Scared Shitless is probably what Erik would have said. But his surprise lasted a second, until he remembered who he was dealing with. "You. Saint Dane." Erik drew his sword. He knew Saint Dane was there to kill him. Again.

Saint Dane smiled. "You remember me. It is good to see that Death has not ravaged your memory. By the way, you can put the little pinprick of a sword away. I am not here to fight.
Erik laughed. "Bullshit! We all know your here to kill us all. No use trying to hide it!"

"You still do not trust me? Oh well. I guess I don't deserve your trust. But, look! See the town? It has already fallen! The town is mine! And soon, the world will follow!" With that parting statement, Saint Dane teleported off again.

"Dammit! I should have seen this coming." Erik's mind snapped to work figuring out a plan. Then he remembered: If you can find a flag, then the town has yet to fall. He looked, and he saw it: The flag was still flying. Then he saw Valencia, looking more like a demon then before. All right, one half-demon, about 200 Hellspawn, and the Officer in charge. As for me, I've got me, two people who don't respect me, and four people who are too busy falling in love to figure out what the hell's going on. Just a Typical Saturday... "Listen up! We don't have much time. The Hellspawn has an advantage in numbers, plus, they've taken most of the city. Also, I spy our good friend Valencia. But, we can take this town back. Valencia is our first target. She's way more powerful then before... James, Lelia, Atrum, you guys go after Valencia."I have to split them like this, or I'm going to have a tactical disaster on my hands. "Everyone else, with me. We'll draw away the Hellspawn's attention so the other guys can handle Valencia. Let's move!"

Leila's eyes widened upon seeing the dessimated town. She couldn't believe how much destruction had taken place. Unknowingly, she gripped tighter to Zack while taking in the damage. That was until Saint Dane popped up out of the blue. Leila had to bite back a scream of shock, but managed to cover her fear with a cold, hard glare. Then he disappeared.
Leila paid close attention as Erik started giving out orders, though was naturally a little reluctant to parting from Zack. But she knew what had to be done, so she turned to Zack. "Don't worry, I'll be okay," She told him, "I can defend myself." Smiling, she laid a soft kiss on Zack's lips. She truly didn't want to break away, but she did anyways and went with James and Atrum. She liked the group she was in, all three members were very powerful, including Atrum. So the three of them walked to Valencia's location, Leila rubbing her hands again to start friction. She was finally going to take on Valencia, and she couldn't wait.

((Rachet, it's not that Leila doesn't respect Erik, she's just naturally stubborn when taking orders. However, I plan to change that eventually XD))

(( Was that my answer? >n< Never mind. By ear it is! ))

At Saint Dane's entrance, Atrum grabbed his bow and set his hand aglow. The light-wielder had never seen someone that looked or felt so powerful. Not to mention he appeared out of nowhere and almost gave the boy a heart attack. but as soon as the villain appeared he had left, leaving them to fight 200 demons and a crazy she demon.
The boy kept his bow out, shotting a couple arrows at the hellspawn before cuing in on Erik's commands. He was splitting them up already? He knew it was more efficient that way, but it just didn't seem right.
Atrum gave Erik an incredulous look before looking towards Valencia. He had never seen her look so... demonic. The then boy looked to Rayne, making sure she was alright. He didn't like being separated from her, it seemed like she was too far away when she wasn't right next to him.
The boy gulped and tried to look to the bright side of things. She had Zach with her, and Erik and... Atrum just couldn't get himself to feel better about the way this was going so far.
Splitting up the people that would distract each other was smart, but had it's downside. He just hoped Erik made the right choice.

When Valencia saw that she was being chased after, the half-demon grinned. It was time for her revenge. And look at that! They had split up. That made it easier for her to pick the little group off in her eyes.
With a grin, the female sprang up, her wings keeping her afloat. "Hey boys! It looks like you've come to me this time!" She couldn't believe her luck.
Now who to pick down first. Strategically, If she went for the boy, it be an easier kill, but his little bodyguards wouldn't allow that.
James could freeze her in time, so going straight after him wasn't a bright idea. So Leila it was, the fire wielder if she remembered correctly. "Alright girly. I haven't seen what you can do yet. Show me what you're got!" The she demon didn't start out slowly. She had a power in this form that wasn't an element. Speed.
She was behind Leila before you could bat an eyelash. With a his and a swipe of her claws she aimed for the girl's neck, hoping for an immediate kill.

((Argh! I was post ninjaed by Lum!))

Erik appeared right behind Valencia, grabbing her and throwing her to the ground before she could land an attack. "Everyone, group together." Erik smiled. "You fell for the old bait-and-switch. I split the group in order to test what you could do. Then, it was a simple matter to warp behind you and throw you around a bit-no pun intended. Oh, yeah, you didn't know i could teleport myself? Well, tell you the truth, I don't know myself. But, we'll talk later. Right now, we have to finish off our friend here."

((Note: The teleporting is limited to Erik himself, and it only works when he has a grip on his sword. And most of the time, he doesn't need to use his teleporting. This is an exception, seeing as Val is amazingly fast.))

Valencia spun around, back on her feet in an instant. Looks like she was stuck fighting this one agian. "You think speed is the only thing I gained?" The blonde humphed and covered her arms in darkness, it fit like a second skin and created a pair if inky black gloves. "I have a few more tricks up my sleeves sweetie."
Valencia hovered a few feet off of the ground. This time would be much different. She had traded half of her lifespan for this gift from satan himself. It had better be good, she'd been saving this gift for a few years now.
Holding out her gloved hands, darkness blasted out of her launching itself at Erik. The she-demon laughed, impressed already. She flew above Erik and the elementals, shooting blasts of dark magic at Erik and the group that was sent after her. The blasts were black, almost purple, and tinted a strange red color that spread once the attack hit.
That red was the magic that was zapped the victim of their power, leaving them open for a head on attack, or another blast if one wasn't enough.
And there were more than enough to go around. A machine gun wasn't fast enough to keep up with the blasts coming from the she-demon. Valencia cackled as her attack marred the already crumbling city. This was a lovely way to finish these brats off.

Atrum shielded his face from the darkness that Valencia was pounding them with. He closed his eyes and commanded his light to protect he and his group from the balls of dark magic. The light shielded them all, doing as it was told. But it shimmered and cracked as the energy hit it.
"No! These have to stay put!" Atrum put his own willpower into the huge shield, and let out a frustrated cry when he felt pieces of what the shield was feeling. It was being pummeled by every bit of magic Valencia threw at them.
"You have to stay up!" He whispered these words, he had never used so much magical energy before. The light itself was strong, an element that was almost unmatched if used correctly. But Atrum wasn't a conditioned fighter, and felt himself faulter as he struggled to keep his light up. "Please, please stay up." The light dwindled before glowing once more. It was intact for once more.
"We have to stop her from using that attack! I-" Atrum stopped talking as the light shimmered away. The boy glared and put the shield back into place. "I can't keep this up much longer."

(((This post will be in first person, sorry.)))

Screams... I could hear them somewhere. Fire, blood, I can smell it. I open my eyes and get up to look out the window. There where demons running amok the town I had arrived not so long ago. "What's going on here?" I mutter to myself quietly. I walk out of my suite and see that the towns people who where near the inn had ran in for shelter. Not knowing what to do. They were scared. I look towards the corner and I could see injured personas. I look some where else and I could see crying. There was a woman, dying in the arms of her little daughter.

Crying, "Mommy, mommy! Please! Don't die on me." The father, who knows where he is now, than from the door where more screams can be herd from, a frantic man runs in and screams out,

"There here! There coming for us next!" Than a demon breed of a hell dog and lizard slash the frantic man into piece before our very eyes. Blood and flesh explodes around the area. Everyone in the inn started to panic, if they weren’t already that is. The chaos from the inn only seems to rouse the demon more and as it homed in on the girl holding onto her dying mother. Something deep within me snapped. I lunged forward, freezing the ground before me to add upon my speed and stabbed the beast in the chest. I used my free hand to entrapped it's limbs in ice as my hand that had dig itself into it's flesh searches for a certain something in its ribs. When my hands felt what I seemed to look for, I yanked it out of the beast and held it in my arms. Veins and all attached to the beating heart of black mass. I glared at the beast teasingly as it watches in horror and scream in pain. The fast beating of its heart made me feel, trilled, excited, and what I haven't felt for such a long time... Blood thirst. My fangs peaks from its position and pierced the beating organ in my hands. I watch the demon squirm in pain as it dissolved before my viewing, me, drinking its dirty blood. I watched him like a play before me. Burning into black flames as it screamed for help. Burning, burning, just like my stepmothers had in the past.

Looking back at the people in the inn, most looked in dear and others had seem to... gone blank. I pinpoint my view to the inn keeper and opened my mouth to speak but before I could, a rotten fruit was thrown at me. It missed, of course. Looking at who had done the deed, my eyes laid on the girl who held protecting-lie to her mother. "Why, why are you doing this to us? Leave us alone!" It than seemed that everyone else within the inn had rallied up at the little girls actions. Petty me, I thought. Why did I even try to help? I throw the now ash turned heart of the demon out. Using my arm to wipe away the blood on my face, I look back at the inn keeper once more. He in turned looked at me with the stillest face he could muster up.

"Wither you like it or not. I paid for a room here to sleep, and I'm going to get it one way or another. So silence your self." I walk out of the inn, the door still open to allow everyone inside to see what I was going to do next. Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes and focused out all the voices around me. In the darkness of my mind, I repeated one word over and over again. Freeze. I could feel the current of small power running through out my body as I opened up my eyes again and swept my arms in circular motions and sealed up everything within a certain radices, including the inn in a fine mist of cold. Bats emerged and flied around the dark mist, they where my eyes and ears. If anyone tried to approach, they will freeze if I find them deserving of such punishment. I walk back into my inn room and passed by the one with the costumer who had come in before me. I peeked inside to see him still writing something. He must think he has a fine imagination to not be aware of what is happening outside his room. Continuing my way, I lay down to rest. My conscious was still wide awake, but I was sleeping none the less.

Lonesome was almost done with his book when he heard a scream outside. Sighing the half-demon got up and walked to the window. All outside demons were attacking in huge numbers. "Well this is going to end well I bet." he muttered grabbing his cloak and pulling it over his head to hide the symbols of his demon lineage. Opening the window he jumped to the ground outside and looked about to see if he could help in any way. He heard a snarl on his left and as he turned to face his opponent he withdrew his sword. At least that was what was suppose to happen, he had forgotten his sword in his room. "Great, I was hoping not to use my powers." he muttered as the demon came at him. Lonesome was going to fight the thing fairly with a sword but now that he had to use his powers he decided to not play around. He looked at the demon and wind began to lift the thing into the air, it was about to scream for back up when it's throat was slit. He walked up to the demon and examined it, no it wasn't his father nor anything that resembled his father. "Thats good at least." he muttered as he turned to survey the carnage that the demons were causing. A group of demons were surrounding a group of women when the women found themselves showered by blood and surrounded by headless demonic corpses as well as a bit of a gust around them. He smiled glad that the years of practicing the ability to concentrate wind into such a speed that it became like a thin blade.

Floating into his room again he grabbed his sword and went back outside. Once back outside a group of four demons attacked him. He drew his blade and waved his hand as if dismissing them. The group found themselves with only two left all of sudden as two were flung like rag dolls fives yards away with skull and brain fragments upon the wall which they hit. As the remaining two attacked he parried one strike and sidestepped another. He danced around them, his blade his partner, and waited for an opening. Finally one demon stepped in front of the other thinking Lonesome was going to go the other way when all of a sudden it found his blade in it's throat and pushed into it's ally, thus creating another opening for Lonesome. The demon stumbled backward with it's fallen comrade pushed against it while Lonesome noted the surprise it had when it found his blade in it's side. Lonesome pushed the blade completely through it's body and cleaved through it's spine. The two bodies crumbled to the ground, one's throat severed and the other folded in on itself. He nodded with grim satisfacton and went to help others, using his ability only for those he couldn't reach in time.

In the very back of my mind, I could see the wind element help out others outside the inn. I wake up from yet again, another short nap. Walking out of the now hushed inn, they stared at me and I kept on walking. Once I left, I lift the mist for the wind element, I don't know if he even noticed it in the first place but it mattered not to me. These humans, they feared my kind and his kind. Executed many and have only continued to tell lies about us in stories they come up with for what they in turn do not understand. Only such a few selected people could even write a good book. I really do hope that the new book by my favorite author comes out soon. Oh wait.... What was I doing...? Looking around me, it seemed that I had forgotten about what I was doing out side the inn and following the wind element behind his back. Ah, wells, I might as well just keep following. I won't be helping him defend or protect anyone. If my attention is diverted from the inn one hundred percent, the mist protecting it will be disperse and the people inside will be left to defend them once more.

He saved a woman holding her child from a group of demons by tearing them apart within a mini tornado only ten feet tall. Lonesome had realized he was being followed by some strange woman as he turned to scan the village in which was being destroyed. Lonesome left her alone thinking that as long as she was leaving him alone he would let her be. A demon rushed him thinking it could surprise him when all of a sudden his sword flashed out and the demon toppled over in two halves. "There's no end to these beings." He muttered to himself as he flung another into ther air and watched as the demon was impaled upon the cross of the local church. He wished he could go back to his writing and be done with this but he knew that if he used all his power he would only succeed in destroying the entire town which is what he was trying to prevent. A demon came out of a shadow and grabbed Lonesome by the cloak and pulled hrd trying to make Lonesome fall on his back. Lonesome's hood fell back revealing his horns to nearby villagers and they an in terror from him. Sighing he turned around and with a quick thrust ended the demons miserable life. Pullling the hood back over his head he continued to fight the demons, once he was even aided by a member of the town guard. They nodded to each other as they went their seperate ways trying to save as many lives as they could.

[[ lol Rayne's 17. if atrum & rayne were to date it would be like either a freshmen or a 8th grader dating a junior xD [in high school] its funny to think about. but whatever happens happens. i'm up for anything. ]]

Rayne & Arabella followed Erik.

Rayne was pulling water out from a well near by. She couldnt create water but she could certainly pull it from almost anywere. Rayne had all her consentration on the water and Valencia.
"I'm on it." Rayne said to Atrum. Rayne created a bubble of water large enough to cover Valencia's Head. Unless she didnt need to breathe, this was a good way to sufficate the enemy. Rayne really didnt want to have to kill any one even an enemy. Rayne's techique seemed to be working because it looked like Valencia was struggling for air.

Arabella on the other hand was consentrating on Valencia's mind. Her mind was very complicated. That attack she was using seemed to have no flaw. Arabella kept searching and searching. Nothing.
'How the hell do we defeat her...?' Arabella thought.
Then arabella thought of something. Maybe she could help fight by maybe levitating something with her mind. If she could levitate something like a big rock or a tree it might help. But Arabella had never done anything like that. Arabella tryed first with a small rock. It levitated a bit off the ground & it was shaking. Arabella picked her target which was Valencia. She sent it hurtling at her. The small rocks speed had sped up went it was about to hit Valenia. It was just a start but Arabella didnt want to use that too much.
Arabella when back into Valencia's mind and tried to make her forget that attack. She was using her mind like an eraser and rub that attack from her mind.

((Zack just assume's anything that moves underneath debris is evil.) catch-up time.)
Zack and James looked at Saint Dane as he appeared and then dissappeared.

James looked at Erik and nodded as he received his order. He pulled out his shortsword and longsword, placed his short sword in a defensive position and then ran with Leila and Atrum to Valencia.

Zack nodded at Leila and gladly accepted the kiss. He knew that James would take care of her.

James saw Valencia flash through the air, Erik seemed to be able to keep up. He needed to speed himseslf up, so he sped his molucules up again. Just as before he flew about at high speeds.

Zack noticed a demon that seemed to be fighting other demons with wind. He was quite good. Zack teleported over and grabbed soe metal from the rubbel. The metal seemed to dissapear as he teleported the excess metal to another universe, what he left in his hand was a well-carved rapier. Zack let it fly through the air as he teleported from one spot to another slicing apart those demons that the other demon left alive. There seemed to be no end to them, and he agreed with Lonesome.

James wiggled from the dark grasp, using his own light shield that he would have to thank Atrum for later. Atrum really was becoming quite the friendly fighter. He ran upon the darkness, his speed making the liquids seem like solids. The magic was dark and draining, but as long as his speed kept up he could dodge the red waves of magic, maeing it easier on Atrum to keep these handy things up. "Leeeeiiilllaa, liiiggghhhtt ttttthhhhiiiisssss ttthhhiinnggss aaarrrrrmmmmsss," he said drawn out so that it wouldn't be too fast for her to understand at his faster speed.

Zack noticed out of the corner of his eye, that Leila was trapped in the clutches of darkness, he knew Erik probably didn't want him interfereing, so he placed a grouping of trees underneath Valencia. He hoped Leila would get the firewood idea before Valencia figured out what was happening.

Velancia glowered at the shield that was bloacking her attacks from hitting. As she attacked she quickly sorted trough who could make something like this. It seemed to glitter and flicker, fading in and out as it was hit. Like a candle. Like the light.
What also appeared, subtley out of no where were trees. Quite a few of them actually that appeard beneath her. "What are they doing?" The half-demon decided she wouldn't bother destroying the trees. Unless they started launching themselves at her they weren't her problem.
Stopping her magic, Valencia followed up with another charge to break this cur-sed shield, but found her head covered in water. "What the hell?" She thought, a water elemental wasn't known to her.
"Nothing I can do about that now." She quietly growled before going on with her attack, holding her breath for now. Tendrils like in her first battle formed around her, but their numbers increased enfold. As she charged, she increased her speed to where you could barely keep up with the she-demon. The water around her face couldn't keep up either, the liquid slowly slid off and Valencia was allowed to breath again.
When she hit the shield, Valencia felt herself break through and grinned. It couldn't handle direct force, just as she thought.
Now to attack her original target. The fire-wielder would be first to go. She never stopped charging as she aimed at Leila, attacking until her victim couldn't attack any longer.

((Jeez, I leave for like 4 hours to go to church, and so much has already happened! Oh well, might as well go with the flow.))

Everything was happening so fast during the battle, Leila was only barely able to defend herself from Valencia's attacks. She pulled both of her swords out, both dancing with flames, and defended every attack the demon threw at her. It wasn't too long before the endless attacks started wearing the fire element out. Finally, one particular attack blew Leila at least twenty feet away from Valencia, causing her to land on the ground, hard.
She cried out when she felt one of her wrists crack as she landed. 's**t! Not good!' She thought. Breaking her wrist was definitely not part of her battle plan. However, she didn't have time to just stop, so she quickly got up on her feet. Leila finally noticed the pile of trees that were below Valencia. Building heat in her uninjured hand, Leila created a fairly large fireball and aimed it well at the pile of wood. The ball of fire hit its target, and the wood burst into beautiful fire.
After that, she focused back to Valencia. Since Leila wasn't much of a fighter at the moment, she thought maybe being a distraction would be a good idea. If she could hold the demon's attention for long enough, maybe someone would get the idea and land a surprise attack. Smiling devilishly, she called out, "Is that the best you can do? My grandma can do better than you ever could! Come on, show me what you've got!" Leila started moving very quickly, dodging each attack the angry huntress aimed at her.
PostPosted: Sun Sep 28, 2008 12:25 pm

Atrum fell forward as Valencia broke through his shield. It shattered and crackled into bright shimmering pyrotechnics, fading before they hit the ground. The light boy hissed at the pain that came from his element being broken through, but got back up before he missed much else.
There was so much going on, people were fighting and scattered about and doing what they could to help. Atrum's home wasn't on the battlefield.
He looked over to where he had last seen a glimpse of Valencia, seing Leila keeping up to par with the enraged she-demon. Atrum didn't know how he could help her, they were both moving too fast to shoot arrows, or even lasers at them.
When Leila fell to the ground, Atrum heard her cry out and knew that she had been hurt. The boy sent a stream of light o seek out what was hurt and heal it. The light glimmered and strung itself around Leila until it found where her wrist had been hurt. The light then gathered around her wrist and seemed to slowly fade away, healing her.
Atrum was glad he could heal without taking up as mch energy as making a shield. The boy looked up to Valencia, who was glowering at Leila. The demoness rolled her eyes and grinned.
Atrum took the time to begin creating a laser, his breaths were staggered now, the heat of battle and lack of energy getting to him. "Alright. I need you to turn into a laser. A big one. One big enough to wipe this demons smirk off her face. Can you handle that?" He whispered to the light in his hands, giving it intructions.
He took the faint glimmer in his hands as a yes, but really worried whether he could handle the newfound attack.
It didn't matter at this point though. The sooner they finished this woman off, the quicker they could clear the city of the smaller demons.

Valencia had a very enthusiastic grin on her face. It would almost be... pretty if she wasn't currently craving the death of these cur-sed elementals. Listening to Leila's taunts, Velancia snorted. "You're in no place to taunt anyone little girl." The demones cackled, feeling victorious already.
She didn't give a second thought to the fire behind her. The fire wielder wouldn't be concious much longer. Taking out her daggers, Valencia charged Leila, daggers aimed for the girl's chest. This would be her finishing blow if she had anything to do with it.
But as she got closer, the world zooming past as she zoned in on her target, a blinding attack came from her side. The damn light elemental was too persistant for his own good.
Though she wouldn't admit it, it took all the speed and control she had to avoid being hit.
"When'd he learn to do that?" Valencia huffed, now considerably out of breath between this child and the fire elemental. Sweat made it's way down her brow as she regained her composure.

Leila at first was surprised to see a stream of light surrounding her swollen wrist. Then she remembered - Atrum's healing powers. Soon enough, the pain in her wrist was completely gone, and the light faded. She looked over in Atrum's direction and flashed a grin as a way of saying thanks. She pulled out her swords again, prepared for enemy attacks this time.
However, she wasn't prepared for the blinding speed that Valencia used to charge at Leila with, daggers pointed toward her chest. Her eyes grew wide, she thought this really might be her end. Then a bright flash of light came from the side, causing Valencia to stop. Atrum had saved Leila once again. Smirking, Leila disappeared behind the demoness and, finally, was able to land a hit on her. Leila had taken a wild slash behind Valencia's legs, and had managed to give her a deep gash behind one of her knees, and another shallower cut behind the other.
"Yes!" Leila cried out in success as she quickly ran over to where Atrum was. She said to him, "Thanks a bunch, Atrum. I owe you big time."
