I do that too....I hate when I'm working on something and someone walks up and says "I don't think it looks as good as the last thing you did.." I just look at them and think 'I'M NOT DONE YOU ******** IDIOT!" scream mad YES! i also hate, as a songwriter, when they're like "let me hear it" or "let me read it" and then grab it out of my hands and go "this here doesnt flow right" or listen and go "it doesnt sound finished." it's like "no s**t? why do you think i had a pad and pen out WORKING ON IT!!!" Indeed. Thats why I don't take my lyrics out in public......unless I'm bringing them to band practice.. i've always got a pad to write down lyrics wherever i get an idea, so sometimes i have to write it in public before i forget them. gonk I need to start doing that, all mine are on my laptop...I need a notebook to keep them in, one I can carry around.

MegaTherion777 WHY DO ALL FEMALES SAY THIS? my ex could sing, except she always insisted that she couldnt. she at least had enough confidence to sing on occasion anyways. last night i was hanging out with one of my friends, and she insisted she couldnt sing... then a song came on the radio and she started singing along and her voice was beautiful and i was like "liar! you said you couldnt sing" and she kept insisting she couldnt... and, the same thing seems to happen with every chick i know! YOU WOMEN NEED TO GAIN CONFIDENCE IN YOUR SINGING VOICES!!! IF BOB DYLAN CAN SING IN FRONT OF PEOPLE YOU CAN TOO!!! If I could sing (or play any instrument, and was actually talented towards that) you would discuss about my singing skills in one of the subgenre forums. When I say I can't sing I mean it and it's the truth. Don't call me a liar scream

I get extremely paranoid when someone wants to see a drawing I haven't shown anyone yet.
after that first milestone though, I either keep it and let people see it, or destroy it as soon as I realize that I hate with the very core of my being.

I remember feelin the same way when I used to draw. I only let close friends look at em....beside they could give me better criticism since they were artists too. I wished I kept at it though sweatdrop
