Aras's teal eyes lit up brightly when she saw Rhea returning with Corrah and Armus and as he pounced on her she threw her arms around him, pulling him down with her when she fell on her back.
"Hi!" she giggled, suddenly forgetting all of her anger towards Ruran - and indeed, forgetting her brother altogether. "What took you guys so long? You're still not wearing any clothes, so that can't be it!"
She hugged him tightly, laughing loudly as he licked her face.
Corrah glanced towards the two momentarily and he hid his emotions, even though he was quite amused by how well the two got along. His attention was drawn away by Ruran however, and he couldn't help but be annoyed by how close the boy sat to his sister. Did the boy never give up?
Armus smiled brightly at Kanis and reached for her bag. "Hello, Kanis!" she chirped. "I have something for you! Corrah told me about your little incident. I haven't had time to make any new clothes or anything, but I thought you might at least like some real clothes, instead of Corrah's cloak."
She pulled out a pair of green camo pants, identical to her own but much smaller, and held them out to the girl.
"Same ones I used to wear, until I grew again," she grinned. "They might not look like much, but they're comfortable, they're warm, and they'll do until someone can make you new pants."

Rhea giggled playfully and nuzzled under Aras' chin. "Food." he smiled and nuzzled her again smiling down at her. "Arrras hungry?" he was very glad to see how warm her welcome was to him. It gave him hope.
Kanis stood up and took the pants, "Thank you Armus, I will try not to mess them up." she smiled at the woman. "I will go put them on so I can return Corrah's cloak. She said warmly and moved towards the cave entrance again.
Ruran smiled watching Kanis and Armus. He knew he had to stay still and keep from trying to follow Kanis and watching her change so he just grabbed a hunk of bread and cheese.

Aras giggled and hugged Rhea tighter. "I'm not food," she told him, her eyes sparkling with laughter. "Can't eat me! I bet I don't even taste good!"
She rolled over so that she was laying on top of Rhea, then giggled and sat up so that she was sitting on his legs, straddling him. "Corrah's got the food, come on," she grinned, getting up and holding one hand out to him to help him up as well.
Armus laughed at Kanis. "Keep them!" she told her brightly. "It's not as if I'll ever fit into them again. Do what you want with them. They're yours now."
And as Kanis headed off, she herself headed towards Corrah and the bag of food.

Rhea smiled and nods, "Arrras taste good....really good....smell good too." He barked and wriggled under Aras his hands slipping around her hips but slipping free as she stood up.
Smiling he took her hand then when he was the right way up he dropped back to all fours and started to walk with Aras towards the food.
Kanis nodded and thanked Armus again before she changed. She walked back and her pants were baggy now but at least they would work. She moved to stand near the food. "Thank you again Armus. I guess we should eat quickly so we have enough time to make new beds."

It was Corrah who responded to Kanis's comment, instead of Armus, to whom the comment had been directed.
"Take your time," he told her quickly. "There is plenty of time before nightfall, and there is nothing else that we need to do today. Growths are tiring, if not exhausting. There is little more that we need to do today."
Armus leaned against a tree and grinned, eating silently. She knew that they would be working very hard the next day to make up for it.
Aras giggled at Rhea and skipped alongside him until they reached Corrah and the food. She made up two sandwiches, not sure whether or not Rhea knew how, and handed one to him before taking the other for herself.

Rhea thanked Aras and gobbled the sandwich down before trying to make one on his own which ended up just bread with meat pushed into it. He smiled brightly and offered it to Aras.
Kanis nods, "Oh I see..well still we should try to get it done before dark I think...it would be harder to work without light." She gave a yawn. She was already starting to feel the fatigue of her body.
Ruran smiled and just sat close to Kanis thinking things over in his mind.

Aras had finished barely half of her own sandwich when Rhea offered her one of his own making, and she blushed and accepted it with a bright smile.
"Thank you, Rhea," she told him warmly. "That looks delicious." If a little messy. But she was sure it would be just fine - after all, how could a sandwich go wrong?
Corrah nodded, watching Kanis thoughtfully. "As soon as you are all finished eating," he murmured, "perhaps you should all take a nap. It may take up some of your time, but your restored energy would actually save you more time in the end."
Armus nodded. "I agree. And don't worry, we won't let you sleep the day away - we'll make sure that you have plenty of time to prepare your new beds before dark."

Rhea smiled and started trying to make a second sandwich for himself. He was glad that Aras seemed to like him more. Maybe she would let him sniff around and try to work out her new scent.
Kanis smiles, "Thank you...I would like a nap." she smiled and hurried to eat her sandwich before remebering to return Corrah his cloak. "Thank you for letting me borrow it sir." She said and wandered back to her far too small bed, but at least it would do for a pillow. And though the day was warm she pulled her blanket around her shoulders and shut her eyes.
Ruran wished the adults were not there. He knew that if he tried to show 'affection' to his sister right now then Corrah would see threw his trick and kick him to the curb. So he had to let his perfect opertunity go to waste. He finished eating and stood, "Can we all take a nap?"

Aras watched Rhea intently as he worked to make another sandwich. He was trying so hard to be nice to her ... and it was obvious to anyone that he liked her best, he hardly seemed to notice Ruran and Kanis but spent all of his time (at least his time with them) playing with Aras, or at least trying to. Perhaps he liked her in a special way ... just like she liked him.
Corrah accepted the cloak from Kanis with a silent nod of acknowledgement, and then he turned to Ruran, his blue eyes ice cold, piercing straight through the boy.
"Clearly," he said quietly, his voice void of any tone, though his eyes spoke clearly for him, "you did not hear what I said."
And without explaining, he turned back to the food and made himself a sandwich.

Ruran growled a bit. Again he had not known if Corrah had been talking to just Kanis, who was slowly starting to appear to be his favorite, or two everyone. He rolled his eyes and moved towards the beds. He walked close enough to Kanis to get her to open her eyes and talk to him and he smiled and moved behind her to lay behind her.
Rhea giggled and ate this sandwich more like a dog would. Pulling chunks of it off and chomping on them. He smiled at Aras and once he finished it he moved to lay next to her and shyly but carefully laid his head on her lap. He tried not to seem like he was breathing deeper even if he was.
He really wanted to get more familiar with her. And being a wolf he really did not care who saw. Though he knew that the alpha might not like them doing things in public.

Corrah rolled his eyes to himself, then sighed. He had, after all, said that they should ALL take naps, why would that not include the stubborn boy? He watched as Ruran lay near Kanis, narrowing his eyes slightly. He was going to have to keep a very close eye on that boy ... or else Kanis was going to be in for a very rude awakening.
"The point of a nap," he called over to both of them, "is to sleep. If you don't, then it is nothing more than a waste of time."
Armus wanted to point out that Corrah was being quite harsh, but she knew her place. If she said anything, it would only undermine his authority, and Ruran would never listen to him again. Besides, she trusted him enough to know that there had to be a reason for why he was being so harsh ... he never did anything without a reason.
Aras blushed a bit as Rhea lay his head in her lap, but she figured that he just wanted to sleep with her. Well, why not? She smiled and lay down, placing one hand tenderly on his head.
"Sleep well," she smiled warmly at him, putting one arm behind her head as a pillow. She took some of his hair between her fingers and stroked it gently, watching him curiously though half-closed eyes.

Kanis was already asleep as Ruran moved closer behind her and put his hand back on her hip again. She was too confused and tired to stay up.
"Yes sir...I am sure I will make the most of the time you are giving us." Ruran said and shut his eye. He might as well start pushing it and see how far Corrah would allow him to 'play' with Kanis.
Rhea lifted his head a bit as Aras moved and moved to lay his head more on her stomach knowing it would be more comfortable for her. He smiled enjoying the feel of her hand on him. She was so nice of touch.
"Good rest....Arras." he said and have her belt-less hip a lick before shifting his head and shutting his eyes just enjoying her scent.

Aras smiled and closed her eyes, her fingers laced into Rhea's hair so that she could gently rub his scalp. She never liked doing this for anyone else, but she did like doing this with Rhea. His head was quite comfortable for her stomach, and she knew that she had nothing to fear from him. She would never have anything to fear from him.
Corrah exhaled slowly and rose silently to his feet, his elvish steps silent as he made his way over to Ruran. Without any warning, he grabbed the boy by the elastic waist of his boxers and picked him up, tossing him easily to one side into a pile of leaves that could cushion his fall slightly. Then he stood over the boy, his blue eyes blazing coldly.
"If you are going to insist on treating your sister the way you do," he said quietly, calmly, though he was seething on the inside, "then you will have nothing to do with me but fear."
Even the animals had more dignity than this boy did, and he would cut off his hands before letting Ruran abominate his sister.
Armus stared intently at the food in her hands. Even if she could do something, something told her to stay out of this.

Rhea opened his eyes and looked over to Corrah and Ruran. He wondered what was going on. Surely the alpha did not want young Kanis for himself. He sighed. He didn't really care as long as Corrah let him have and keep Aras to himself. She was the only female who's scent called to him so.
Kanis opened her eyes just a bit. She was very tired and did not know what was going on. Was she going to get in trouble this time?
Ruran cried out involuntarily as he was thrown. "I am just showing her some brotherly love." he said flatly back once he regained his composer. "Why do you get so edgy about it. She is not complaining about it is she? At least she would not be defiling herself with something not elven. Some flea bitten wolf!"

Aras opened her eyes and looked around fearfully at the noise, and seeing how Corrah was treating Ruran she felt a shiver of fear run down her spine. She curled up in a ball and held Rhea tightly, snuggling her face against his so that she wouldn't have to watch.
Armus's eyes blazed with a sudden anger, hearing Ruran's exclamation. She was not elven - would Ruran then consider Corrah to have defiled himself with her? But she of course could say nothing - and she only hoped that if the boy noticed anything, that he would attribute it to her being affronted about the comment about Rhea.
Which she was as well.
Corrah didn't give Ruran a chance to react, he simply reached down and slapped the boy across the face, leaving an angry red hand-shaped mark on his cheek.
"That," he snarled, "is not brotherly love. Brotherly love is showing kindness and keeping your damned hands off of her! What she does is her business, not your own, and whether she chooses to take a flea bitten mongrel or some monster eventually should be nothing to you! Defilement, indeed!"
He spat on Ruran's cheek.
"Disgusting! Defilement is what you seek to do, you filthy animal! You dare to call yourself an elf, but it is you who defiles the race, who besmirches what should be pure!"
He kicked Ruran on the shin, not caring how hard. "Get up!" he ordered. "On your feet, you obvious don't need any rest. Get up!"
