"Alright." the monk replied, leaving the dirty dishes to be cleaned later. He helped the woman out of her seat and lead her to the elevator which would lead to the rooftops. As the elevator door opened, he let her in before stepping into it himself and pressing the button which would bring it to the roof.

Up on the rooftops, the door opened and carefully, the monk assisted the woman out, as she didnt look too good.

She gripped the railing of the little platform and felt a cold breeze brushing her cheeks which were even paler than usual. Her eyes were narrowed as if she worried about something.

Lucind only spoke a couple of minutes later.

"I'm sorry for...how things are now. I'll get better as soon as possible." The Half-Siren tried to smile but failed miserably.

He rested a hand on her shoulder, not knowing why he did so, but he did nonetheless. It was like a comforting gesture. "Perhaps I should appologize." he said, in his usual quiet and monotonous voice as he looked over the railing and let the breeze blow through the area.

It felt warm where his hand lay on her shoulder.
It could have been a illusion, though.

"Why? You warned me."
Lucind shook her head. "I guess we'll just make the best of it until my vision returns."

Her hands clutched tighter around the metal, the knuckles whitened. The Half-Siren felt her legs turning to jello.
"Think it's better I get some more rest," she whispered.

The monk removed his hand and bowed, though Lucind wouldn't have seen the action. Kraun helped steady her as he carried her towards the elvator back downstairs into her room and set her down sitting on the edge of her bed.

Where he left her there, he'd go back down the stairs and clean up what was left of the breakfast and do a general clean-up of the area before he'd go back into the half-siren's room and watch over her sleeping form.

When Kraun helped her easing down on her bed Lucind thought she was about to faint once more. The dizziness fortunately vanished a few seconds later and she was able to take off her woollen coat as well as her shoes and found a comfortable lying position.

This time her sleep was undisturbed and lasted till the early evening.
She snuggled into her blanket and yawned, enjoying the warmth.

It occured to her that she maybe should contact Hetel later on to report about her state.

Seeing that the woman was sleeping well, Kraun went off to perform other duties around the building. For one, he made a mixture of the herbs he had gathered for tea so that it could be made more easily and less time consuming. Another thing he did was water the plants in the back and the little pot of herbs he grew on the windowsill of his room in the cellar.

By the time he was finished, the day had already gone by, and he wandered back into Lucind's room to check on her.

Lucind felt the monk was in her room when she woke up and asked for the time and if it was still the same day.

To check if her circulation was fine now she sat up and stretched. She didn't exactly feel like jumping around but not dizzy either so she turned around to sit on the edge of her bed.

Lucind informed him that she wanted to speak to her clanleader so she asked him to help her down into the garden.
Hetel seemed to feel relieved to see her again that soon. She hadn't expected any changes concerning Lucind's eyes though and told her to be patient.
On the Half-Sirens comment that the monk took good care of her Hetel only answered something like, "Fine, good to hear that."

After disconnecting, Lucind sat down on the bench near the water and for the first time she thought about what had happened the previous day, what she had seen during the ritual. Even though all damages caused by it had been fixed her actual memory of it was still there.

She leaned back and sighed.
"One could never really understand what you see until seeing by oneself. And you were right with saying that there are some things mortal should never see.
...
But that means...you aren't mortal, are you? Or to be exact, no matter how often you die, Io would always send you back. Ah of course, you couldn't remember even if it was like that..."

His answer to her question about time was early evening, when twilight crept over the world. As asked, Kraun had helped Lucind downstairs and into the garden, but he did not stay, leaving her by the water and going a distance into the background og the garden to give the woman her privacy.

While the half-siren was communing with her clan leader, the monk sat down and thought long and hard over what he got himself into.

Only that was broken when she came and asked him a question, or rather, it was more of a statement than anything else. "Indeed." he answered softly.

After having a light snack Lucind wanted to return to her bed but before changing into her pajamas she asked Kraun to wake her up in case she still slept when some of girls arrived in the early afternoon to clean the different areas of Feimurgan.

"When Kara arrives please lead her to me. But only her. Tell the others that I'm sick and resting, should they ask for me. - If my eyes won't get better in, say two days, I have to tell them all or else they'd start to worry. I'd come up with half the truth then I guess, that won't even be a lie then..."

The monk agreed after leading the half-siren into her room and then walked out, letting her get changed and go to bed herself. He moved through the building towards its uppermost floor and onto its roof. For the remainder of the night, he stood up there, siletly watching the sky and the streets below until daybreak came. He went downstairs and got things ready for when the others would show up.

The other employees didn't ask for her boss for it wasn't unusual that Lucind wasn't around at this time. However, when Kraun brought Kara up into Lucind's room, the young woman was against hiding.

"I don't know what happened and I don't think I want to know - or else I'd have to scold you even more... But the others will eventually ask, maybe already in a few hours or at least tomorrow when you don't show up. - Well, of course it's up to you, still in my opinion it's better to serve the truth.
And hey, that's an opportunity to teach the other girls that their boss is not always the competent and serious woman she pretends to be but can also be incredible reckless and daring." Kara chuckled, then gently pressed Lucind's arm

The Half-Siren smiled and sighed.
"Maybe you're right... - It would be indeed stupid to try to sneak around here."

"Indeed indeed. So, let's go down then!"

"Now? You mean...now?! But I have to make up an explanation first gonk "

"What's the problem with that? 'I did something very, very stupid', should be enough mrgreen "

"Oy!" Lucind poked the other woman's side and let herself guide downstairs to talk to the others.

First, the small group of girls got extremely exited, some anxious even but when Lucind explained a second and third time that her blindness was only temporary and after several funny comments of Kara and Lorenna everyone relaxed, more or less, and got back to work.

Sitting in corner on the empty third floor, sipping hot cocoa, Lucind felt really better. She kicked her slippers off and pulled her legs up on the couch.

After leading the woman to Lucind in the afternoon, the monk had left to leave the women alone and let them have their discussion. During that time, he would be up on the roof, where he had left some of the herbs he collected to dry out in the sunlight of day.

When everything had seemed to settle down, Kraun went back downstairs, where he spotted Lucind enjoying herself. "Feeling better?" he asked, his voice monotonous and plain, sounding almost more of a statement than a question.

She nodded slowly and tucked a blue strand behind her ear.
"Am still a bit tired but otherwise I'm feeling fine.

Ah, if you don't mind I'd like to take a short walk through the city...so, I need a guide. I thought I should try to find something positive in my current constitution." The woman shrugged. "Just train my other senses a little."

Lucind had even thought about doing some exercises with her weapons in case her vision wouldn't return until Tuesday.

"I do not mind." the monk replied, in fact, he really didnt have anything to do for the day. He waited for Lucind to finish her drink before he helped her up and put one of her hands on his left forearm, which of course, would be used as a guide for her.

Leading her through the cafe and then down and out into the busy streets of Latent in the afternoon, Kraun asked where she would like to go.
