Throughout the city, the people of Frostschild were coming home. Men, women, and children, knocked out of reality by a magical punch no one saw coming, were being nudged back into existence by the very same force. Eating, sleeping, shopping, working, they had been going about their lives, and to them no time had passed at all. Still, something was not right.
They were changed.
Metal. Jagged. Screaming and shrieking with inhuman voices, they returned skeletons of their former selves, grim visages of decayed bodies animated through the fusion of magic and robotics. They would go about their daily lives, clumsy brutal mockeries of what they once were, but lacking in human comprehension or understanding.
That is, until they saw someone alive, someone unchanged, someone who was still human. They turned on these people, watched them. Approached slowly, cautiously, sizing up the strange being. They would clang their metal teeth together threateningly, stretch out their claw-like fingers, and then...
...they would attack.

Raymond was about to get up, when looking over the edge of the stairs he saw it...or rather them. Whatever they were they were enough to drain the color out of his face, send him from tan to pale white in the face in the span of a second. Pure fright. Letting the MP5 gently fall to the ground he fumbled around his coat for a bit until he came back with the walkie talkie, and depressing the talk button he began to speak in a rather bland voice, yet one filled with terror and fright.
"Jo-Joseph! Man s**t is hitting th fan! These...these frickan things just appeared man! it's like the entire population just re-materialized has cyborg-zombies! Watch out man!Watch the ******** out! Three days, augh whatever!" he cried into the radio, letting his finger off the talk button.
He slowly grabbed his gun and got to his feet.
"Guys, we can either jump down into a huge gunfight, or stay here and hold off a populations worth of cyborg zombies...choice is yours. Either way it looks pretty bleak." he said, the color returning to his face.He still look dead pale, but not deathy pale.

A boom and gunshots from the hole had kept Aiolos from going in. Which was either a good thing or a bad thing. Good thing is that Aiolos was safe, and could possibly be useful if the need arises. Bad news, zombies.
He walked up to a window after he heard Raymond's shouting and looked down.
Zombies.
"Joy." Aiolos mumbled, the sarcasm heavy in his voice. He looked back at the hole.
Zombies, or gunfight?
Well, he could deal with zombies...
Aiolos stood in impass.

As he did, he would find a HELL OF A LOT OF FIRE come shooting out of the hole like a volcano erupting. s**t was going down in that hole. It was not a happy place right now.

Lahren, meanwhile, would've been just about ready to go down after Eileen. He was starting to get a bit worried, and it didn't sound that bad... Alright, this was just the part of him that made him do stupid, pretty-much guaranteed to be suicidal things, for no other reason than he can't think of another course of action.
Fortunately, that other course of action (ie. Run the hell away) made itself apparent just as he was steeling himself to jump, in the form of a massive explosion of flame out the top of the hole.
". . ." Lahren would fall backward, generally freaking surprised. "Holy shittin' hell." Then he would stand up, and look behind ******** me."

Over any Bryant Raidos Joseph's message from the Base would ring clear.
It was an APB.

"Holy ********!" Aiolos cursed equally, jumping out of the way as the fire erupted from the hole.
Well! Seems like Mozz got caught in a s**t firestorm. Aiolos immediately was grateful for his fear of enclosed spaces. He knew that if Mozz was near fire, you didn't get close to Mozz.
He heard the message from Joseph with some relief. Aiolos needed a rational excuse to abandon his friend and help with the zombies. Seems that the fire and the message made his mind up for him.
"Well, I don't know about you." He said to Lah, "But I'm all for the zombies"
Aiolos threw a heavy piece of treasure out the window, breaking the glass. He pressed a button on his cloak and the telescoping rods woven inside them spread the fabric out into wings.
"Wanna get down there fast?"

themightyjello "STAY RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE! James shouted it in the direction of the hole, knowing that there were still 3 people up there that hadn't come down yet. His gun was trained on the opening, even as he pulled Eileen with him towards the hole in the wall leading to the other sewers. The shout wasn't for her, it was for the ones on top. "IF ANYONE ELSE TRIES TO RUSH THIS PLACE THE GIRL DIES. DON'T DO ANYTHING STUPID AND I PROMISE SHE WON'T BE HURT."

And all of a sudden, Lahren was feeling vaguely happy. Which was rather odd, all things considered, but it was there. He was feeling alright, not quite so panicked as previously, nor as worried about the zombies.
It was gonna suck when the emotion wore off, though, so for the time being he pulled both his crossbows out, pointing them at the zombies that (might be, might not be) in the room.
And then, the voice filtered up, and Lah sighed. "I would, but I guess I'm stickin' around here. Don't want blood on my mind."
He was gonna haaaate himself in a minute when he was back in panic mode.

Caesar Coriando did not look like a metal zombie, but he was new on the scene, scrambling up the stairs from the palace dome.
Caesar would not expect there to be the small crowd up here that there was, and so exploded from the stairwell in a completely defenseless pose; not managing to stop until he was a few feet past the last refuge of cover provided by the stairs.
If weapons turned towards him (as they all but inevitably would), he'd lift his arms into the air and throw a cautious glance behind him to make sure no zombies were going to get him before he could move. "Hola. I come in peace."

Indeed, Caesar'd find himself looking at a couple of crossbows pointed at him, as he rounded the corner into the room. "Alright... Still, don't move."
Lah'd glance over his shoulder at the hole, shouting down to whoever was down there. "So, what do you--"
Snap. There goes the augmented emotion from Eileen, and Lahren was flooding back to his original state. Except... weakened. Softened.
So, Lah was pretty much just anxious right now. "The hell you want us to do, then?"

"Well, there's zombies everywhere, I think blood would be the least of your worries." Aiolos looked at the crossbows.
He held his concert flute and put it in his mouth, just in case zombies did, in fact, know how to climb stairs.
As the newcomer came in Aiolos took the flute from his mouth, his arms were still bent in ready position.
"Well, you don't look like a zombie." Aiolos mused.

"I..."
Caesar found himself chewing his lips for time before the pieces fell into place. "I'm trying to figure out what's going on here, or at least I was before everything went to hell. What exploded? And who is down the hole?"
With that he would begin moving further into the room (away from the stairs) and lowering his arms.

themightyjello "GO THE HELL AWAY!" James shouted back at the hole a spurt of common sense. If they couldn't come down, then they had to stay up there. Zombies or not (which James was still unaware of), those guys were going to have to go -around-. "SEWER'S CLOSED!"

Raymond by now had recovered from his moment of panic, and had taken up a crouched position right behind the banister of the stairs. This however was of course after the man had so haphazardly ran up, nearly scaring the s**t out of poor Ray even more...but he was good now. Keeping his MP5 trained at the base of the stairs below, he called back over his shoulder without ever taking his eyes away from where he was aiming.
"So guys, what now? We can't go down or we risk our lives and those of our comrades, but we can't move down and out with risk of being overrun. Seems we're not doing so well..." Raymond added, making sure nothing moved in front of him for the time being. If it looked even remotely zombie-esque and tried to take so much as a step up the stairs it would be met by a hail of gunfire from Ray.
