I am learning, well .. trying to learn how to speak Swedish. I am considering going on a student exchange trip to Sweden in 2009 and I thought well, maybe I should learn some Swedish now so I am not completely foreign when I go there, and then I will be able to chat in Swedish in my new school and with my host family!
So what I ask for is a person who is able to speak Swedish and help me out, we can have some basic conversations and help me to expand my knowledge. All I know already is, Hej, God dag, Tack, jag mär bra and Hur mår du. biggrin I hope I spelled that all correct.
Also, it would be really great if this person had Skype or MSN or some kind of instant messenger so we could send voice clips to one another and you could help out with my pronunciation.
I love learning other languages and show a huge amount of interest towards Sweden and the Swedish language, I plan to move there one day. I already speak Afrikaans and English and I am living in Australia at the moment.
Thanks for reading all that, and I hope someone could take my request into consideration.

Yeah. I find Swedish to be much easier to pronounce, too. I may put some effort into learning it once I finish with Danish, and German.
Great! smile I'll listen to the songs tomorrow, probably. (I've been sick the past couple of days, so I haven't been posting much.)

Buliwyf Jag vettas inte "tråd" var maskulin. redface Uh.. Swedish doesn't have masculine or feminine, it's common gender or neuter. In this case it's neuter. Trust Siocled, he's a native he knows the grammar better than you. I can tell that sentence is incorrect anyway. It's okay to ask for help from a native or let a native correct you.
