“You live in this building? It looked like an office building to me. Should I restrict my comings and goings to business hours? I don’t wish to draw suspicion as to why a man is entering an office building at all hours of the night dressed in formal attire.” Jason thought is seemed strange that of all places to live an office building? A hotel would have made more sense. It was at that moment Jason’s mind had caught on to the word bathroom, if there was a bathroom then there probably was a shower and other than coffee there was nothing Jason wanted more than a shower. Jason looked at Jaydn’s coffee pot, still not finished brewing, with a face that was both a little sad and tired. Looks like I can’t avoid a nap any longer. “Oh, I will need to fetch some of my belongings from my car.”

Nori smiled at her and turned away towards the stove. She was finally sharing with him again and it made him feel even more elated than before. Of course it was no good hearing about her dangerous situations, but she had come out okay and apparently the benefits had outweighed the loss.
"Would you like to help?" He asked, starting the stove.
He turned back to her, the elegant face with a distracting darkness around the eye. It was strange to imagine anyone having the nerve to strike her. Nori didn't know much about Miles, (only that he was particularly scary) but Ky was right, he would be signing his own death certificate to ever lay hands on her. "By the way, thanks for telling me." He said, "What you're doing...I trust it's all worth it."

User Image
"Very well, " Miles replied to Jaydn, standing up and moving his glance to Jason. " I can have someone bring it up, unless you'd like to do that personally, which I can understand. In any case, we're going to the room now, so it will have to be later." He turned to Jaydn lastly, with a "See you in an hour then." and lead Jason out of the room. Miles shared the code numbers by mouth only, trusting that it wouldn't be difficult for him to remember. It was too troublesome and unsafe to have it written down anyways.
As quick as it took to get to the elevator, Miles had sent out a mass text to his stationed men on multiple floors asking if they had seen Junichi Kato that morning. Wave after wave of "No sir" replied back almost instantly, so it was a good wager that he was still in his room and could open up. Kyrin was the keeper of the keys, so Jason would have to get that from her later. In front of Jason's room and with a knock on the door, they waited for a reply. Miles cleaned his glasses impatiently.

Kyrin shifted in her chair while Nori worked on getting things ready for breakfast. I need to talk to Bill again. He could be useful to us here. Kyrin thought, her mind trailing to the things that were talked about the night before. I wonder if Miles has talked to Jaydn yet. Probably. And thinking of Jaydn she remembered that he was going to meet the weapon‘s man, And when will I meet this new man? The wonder was on her mind when Nori asked her about helping with breakfast, ”Huh? Oh. Yeah, I would love to help.” Kyrin smiled at Nori when he looked at her.
Kyrin pressed the ice against her face and sighed, letting it rest there for a moment. The cold shot through her eye and made her shiver instinctively. Oh, I am going to have to meet him like this. A scowl settled itself on her face, Great. Kyrin stood up and moved next to Nori, ”You’re welcome.” She paused, before continuing, ” I’m sorry that I‘ve been distant lately, I have had a lot going on…” Thinking for a moment Kyrin grabbed some eggs out of the fridge, ”Hey, you still wanted to help out round here right? More then just making breakfast? I go up to the training rooms most nights around seven, if you wanted to join me.” She set the ice down on the counter and thought, Is is worth it all? And then with a smile she decided, Of course it is. Kyrin could suffer a black eye for two weeks and she wasn’t going to sit back and let it hinder her work. She knew that it was going to get to her when meeting new people and around the people that she cared about, and around Jaydn (who wasn’t going to drop the subject), but she would take that as it came. ”An omelet sounds really good.” She said as she cracked the eggs into a bowl that she’d grabbed from the cabinet.

Jason shrugged. Man he is in a hurry. Jason would get his answers latter. He quickly gathered up his things. Before he closed his black briefcase he pulled out another small case from inside. “This is for you.” Jason slid the case towards Jaydn closed his black briefcase and ran after the Russian. “No I will fetch them myself. Thanks for the offer though. I just need the code for the lobby. ” Jason was use to the practice of memorizing information quickly, he could rarely afford to write things down. So he easily remembered the numbers that Miles spat out.

The percussion resounded through the cave that room 590 had become. Jun could not tell if his eyes were open, they felt like they were but the virginity of the darkness was intact, yet to be pierced by the shafts of sunlight Jun had seen just before retiring to bed. The night had been long, and Jun had participated in all of it.
Feeling his bare feet touch the carpet as he slid out of bed, Jun realized he did not remember returning to his room. Slipping the covers back Jun found himself completely exposed to the very comfortable and conditioned air. How did I manage to loose my clothes this time? Jun began to look around the room before he rememberd that he was still unable to see.
The rapping sounded from the door again.
"One moment please" Crap... where is the light... The sounds of stumbling and a few louder thumps later the door to room 590 cracked open and a young Asian mans strained face peered through the thinnest crack. "Er... Ohayo Gozaimasu..." Jun glared into the blinding light in order to identify the perpetrator of the purcusion. "Mr. Miles?" Jun smiled.

"Jun." Miles responded. He reapplied his glasses to see that Jun was only a sliver of a face showing from beyond the door. At Jun's Japanese greeting, Miles realized that maybe Jun wouldn't know what was going on, but he continued anyways. "This is Jason Oriole, who will be sharing the room across from you. No key at the moment unfortunately, so he has to go through your room to get to his if you don't mind. " His hands went to his pockets to grab a cigarette, but decided to leave them in place when thinking about the poor running time he had gotten that morning.

Nori listened to Kyrin's apology and felt a bit guilty. She doesn't have to apologize for anything... "I understand..."At her proposal for training, he jumped on the chance at once, turning away form the stove. "Yeah! I'll go with you! " They had talked about furthering training before, but it was out of sight and mind lately, especially with the need for codes to get everywhere making it difficult to maneuver around the building.
And even though it seemed somewhat ridiculous and unnecessary, Nori really wanted to have a go at firing a weapon... Just to try of course.

Jun listened to Miles while inspecting the man he had with him. So this will be my roommate... of sorts. The man didn't seem to be too tight assed for Jun's taste. "Oh! Ok." Jun said happily and, having forgotten himself, swung the door open for them to enter. With the door open Jun revealed the fact that he was assumedly only robed in a blanket. The rest of the room was cast in darkness only partially illuminated by the hallway lights. Jun realized that the gentlemen might want the light turned on. "Sorry... Don't know about lights." Jun smiled warmly and began dramatically searching the wall on the wrong side of the door.

Kyrin smiled as she stood next to him, cracking open eggs and letting them fall into the bowl with ease. Kyrin had never cooked in her life until Nori began to teach her how. Even though Sayuri had taught Kyrin many things, cooking had never been one of them. There were always cooks and there were always snacks prepared for hungry young children in her father’s house. Kyrin pulled a fork from the drawer and thought, Did you know how to cook mom? I’m really grown now, huh? And she laughed internally. It was a lot easier to think about her mom now that she was going somewhere in life. Kyrin hadn’t felt better then she was as of late, their work was going smoothly and the tattoo that she bore on her shoulder gave her hope for her future. ”I’m glad you are excited. We’ll have fun.” She began to mix the eggs together. Helping Nori would be all Kyrin knew that she could do to give back to him for the support that he had given her. It was a surprise to Ky that Nori had stuck around as long as he did, but she was really happy that he had. Losing Izzy was a weight on Kyrin’s back, but Nori was helping to ease the pain. I wonder if I should sneak her a call. Ky was a little bitter that if she wanted to talk to her long time friend she was going to have to be sneaky about it, but the more she thought on it, the more she knew that Jaydn was right. Isabella was probably not the same person since Ky left. She was probably growing too. And, if that was the case, she may not even like Kyrin anymore. ”Is the pan ready?” Kyrin asked as she held up the mixed eggs for Nori to make into a tasty omelet.

Nori worked happily beside her. She wasn't too much like Fritzi at all, but Ky was still very much like a sister. "Yes, go ahead." He said, as he moved over to get out some potatoes and spices. His mind was elsewhere, anticipating training as they worked together. Every once in a while Nori would ask if she remembered any german words that he had taught her, along with a few new ones. He liked teaching, as he used to tutor math to his youngest sister, so he made it as comfortable as possible. A bond between language made him feel closer to Kyrin, as he only used it nowadays with his family.

Miles did not take a step inside the room, or make an attempt to help Jun fumble around for a light. He instead rubbed the side of his temple and turned to Jason. "Well, there you have it. " he said simply. "The way to your room is right through the bathroom. Kyrin has the key, so you can get it from her later, probably after the meeting that is..." He checked his watch "53 minutes from now. Well... I'll let you two get acquainted. If you need anything, feel free to call. If you'll excuse me... " He took his leave, trusting that Jason could handle the almost naked Jun by himself.
As he walked, Miles flipped his phone open again to send a text. Going to his contacts, he found it somewhat amusing that the person he wanted to call was still under "Miss Kyrin". It had been quite a while since he called her "Miss", considering he only did it in the company of others.

To: Miss Kyrin
From: Miles
Jason Oriole will need a key from you. Rm 591.
We're all meeting with Jaydn in an hour. He'll call.

His finger hovered over the number pad, contemplating whether he should add the next line...

How are you feeling?

While Kyrin and Nori finished making their breakfast, Kyrin was glad that Nori filled the time with more German. Kyrin thought it would be useful to have another language under her belt, but also knew that it would be a lot slower learning this one then either English or Japanese had been. Kyrin said,”Thank you.” When Nori set a plate in front of her at the table and the two sat down to eat. Going over more words as they ate, Kyrin was still only able to readily attain a few, others she had to think on for a while, but she was getting quite good at her numbers.
With a contented sigh, Kyrin finished her meal. She felt a lot better after eating and had taken to pressing the ice against her eye again. ”This is going to take getting used to.” She said with a cringe. ”The internet says it should be gone in two weeks, but that will probably be the longest two weeks ever with Jaydn on my case.” She laughed.
As she pushed her plate away with her free hand, her phone made a pleasant jingle in her pocket and she took it out. She read Miles message, looking at the first line she realized it to be business. So that’s when I am going to meet him. But in an hour? It was then that Kyrin realized that she still looked like crap. Great. And then when she came to the last line she stopped for a moment and a smile lit her lips.

To: Miles
From Kyrin
I will bring his key.
Thank you for the heads up.
My eye hurts a bit, but I feel good.
How are you?

She then set her phone in her pocket and turned to Nori. ”There’s going to be a meeting in about an hour. Would you like to attend?” Kyrin stood and took both their plates to the dishwasher, waiting for Nori’s answer.

Nori sat with Kyrin, quite content to have any stress off the mind. He noticed her smile a little at her phone and wondered what it was about until she explained. The mention of going to a meeting sounded very interesting. "If it's okay, then yeah I'll go with you!" He was her complimentary shadow after all. Being in the loop of operations sounded very appealing. Nori knew that he might never be involved in any proper missions since the 'disguise plan' fell through so long ago, but there was a familiar excitement about being part of a meeting.
Looking back at her eye, a small pang of worry hit his chest.
"Ky, Are you really going to hide it for so long? " He wondered if it was even possible. Everyone at this meeting was going to notice her bruised face, and although it might not be unusual for the old Ky, her newly acquired persona would not shine through with such a look. If anything, it would give a bad impression.

Miles was almost to his office when his phone buzzed back. He had every intention of quickly wrapping up any work left open on his laptop before the meeting. He was anticipating it.
Interrupted by his phone, he flipped it open to see Kyrin's reply. She responded quite pleasantly, and didn't seem upset at all about the night before.
He wondered about giving a charming reply back, but decided not to. Flirting didn't seem like the best idea when something else was on his mind.

To: Miss Kyrin
From: Miles
Has anyone seen you?

It was important and to-the-point, ...but the statement looked somewhat cold all by itself. He thought back to the days of when he was a kid and got into fights at school all the time. Black eyes and bloody noses were common back then. Miles rarely looked back on his childhood with happy feelings, but for some reason the memory made him smile. All he could really offer was advice.

Keep it cold. Avoid aspirin. Aspirin makes it darker.

Opening the door to his office, he started back on his work, although a bit distracted now.

Kyrin closed the dishwasher and leaned back against the counter. With a sigh she said, ”I don’t think that I can hide it. Unfortunately. Shrugging she said, ”But I can hopefully make it a little better.” She picked her ice back up and poured out the water that had melted down the drain. ”Would you help me? I am pretty good with cover up, but not that good.” She gave a pathetic smile.

When her phone sounded again Kyrin grabbed it out of her pocket. Has anyone seen you? Really? But as she saw that he was offering help she was little less irritated by the first comment.

To: Miles
From: Kyrin
Jaydn has, he‘s having a fit.
Nori saw it last night.
And unfortunately Molly has.
The meeting will be hell,
Being scrutinized by everyone.

She was sure that he would be able to hear the tone in which she would say those words if they were talking face to face and decided to just leave her message like that. She wasn’t mad at him for the incident that they had encountered the night before. She’d thought about it and she probably should have been able to control her words a little better. Kyrin realized that she would have to work on her temper more, she was definitely doing better but she had in no way mastered it.

“So do you prefer Japanese to English? Oh where are my maners? My name is Jason nice to meet you.” Jason stumbled over the words. Jason was only truly fluent in English in Spanish. Though he new enough German, Russian and Japanese to get by talking business or politics but if the conversation changed to personal every day stuff he had to break out a translator. Jason stuck out his hand and immediately pulled it back and bowed to Jun. Jason pulled off his glasses and stepped into the room letting the black wash over him. Jason blinked trying to get his eyes to adjust to both being with out glasses and being in the dim light.

Jun finally found the light switch and smiled. But when the blinding light came on he winced and hid his face in his comforter. Seeing Mr. Jason bow to Jun made him laugh inside but he was careful to not let the laugh out. "I am not so good in English, Japanese is my first language. Its a relief that you speak it." Jun returned the bow being very careful to hide the smile on his face while he did so. Jun looked about the room and thought, so that’s where my clothes went. Jun's garments were piled just inside the door to the bathroom. Laughing, Jun pointed at the door,"I must have gotten the bathroom and the closet confused last night, maybe we should avoid the closet then huh?" Jun laughed loudly at this while gathering up the pile of clothes."Man I was drunk. Not to mention I don’t know this place very well, I just got in yesterday myself. What brings you here Jason?"

User ImageWalking down the hallway beside a dirty blonde man dressed in a suit, Maddox was scribbling onto the notepad he cradled in the arms. "Thank you Michael. I will report this to Jaydn. He will be pleased to hear that the shipment went well."

They were making their way down the hallway of the 3rd floor, towards the elevators. A bell chimed softly as they approached, an elevator opening up to them as they drew near and people exiting as they entered. At the ground floor, both Maddox and the man called 'Michael' got out along with a few other people.
"I'll see you around, Maddox." The pair split ways.

Maddox went from office to office on the bottom floor, checking up on the people working there. His morning had been going fairly well, there were no mishaps in his schedule and his duties. I have a good feeling about today.

As he was traveling back to the elevator to begin work on another floor, Maddox felt his pocket vibrate. Reaching into it, he pulled out his phone which was buzzing and flashing a brilliant blue. Jaydn?
"Hello?
"Maddox. We're having a meeting on the tenth floor. Conference room 412."
"Oh?"
The middle brother had pulled himself off to one side, to keep out of the way of the traffic of the elevators. "What will it be about?"
"Mr. Oriole has returned to us and we do have some new faces among our group. Everyone should become acquainted with one another."
"Ah, I'll let everyone know. What time will it be?"
"In an hour."
"At..."
Maddox hesitated, glancing around for a indication of the time. "Ten o'clock?"
"Yeah. I'll see you then. Oh, and have Jun'ichi join us."

The phone gave a click, Maddox pausing for only a second to wondered briefly on the reason behind Jaydn's last request before he started dialing into his phone. It wasn't before long until he had a message ready to be sent out to all of Jaydn's higher ranking men, and in the case of his cousins and the newly acquired lawyer, women. He skimmed it briefly.

To: Charles, Felix, Kyrin, Jun'ichi, Malika, Miles, Xavier
From: Maddox
Jaydn has requested your presence for a meeting on the tenth floor.
It will be in conference room #412 at ten o'clock.
Please refer to me for questions.

Satisfied with the message, he sent it out. He briskly made for the elevator. He would need to prepare for the meeting. I'm glad to hear that Mr. Oriole has returned to us safely.
