'Sage?' The word echoed in her mind, 'Why does that sound so familiar?" Suddenly it hit her, the blank in her story, "Did I ever tell you that I'm the descendant of the Spirit Sage Nabooru? Perhaps I could be of assistance."

Meanwhile in the Spirit Temple, Lyra had finished gathering wood from the temples reserves, preserved by the dry air. In the desert, the setting of the sun marked the transition from scorching heat to freezing cold. It took a few tries, but eventually she had managed to strike her flint fast enough to cause a spark. Soon, the fire grew large and Lyra held a spare stick into it. With the flame, she lit the torches in the antechamber and warmth filled the room. 'Alright, time to look for food,' Lyra thought then went over to her bag, pulling out some bread, 'Wow that was fast.'

Artanis stood completely hidden in the shadow of a bookcase. It wasn't that he was invisible; he'd simply perfected the art of going unnoticed. All Sheikah learned, as part of their training.

He turned his head ever so slightly, making sure that the Princess was still behind her bookcase before turning his attention back to the others. He found them... interesting. Very interesting. And what they were talking about, the Sages, that was interesting, too.

He was quite sure that he had a Sage as one of his ancestors, whatever that meant. He wasn't even sure what a sage was supposed to do; everything he'd heard as a child had the distinct ring of a legend embroidered so many times in so many places that very little of it was anywhere close to true, anymore.

Zelda's eyes widened in panic. If Gannondorf could figure out who the sage's descendant's were, he could do serious damage. Naru, she begged silently, Please don't let things get any worse.

"Perhaps. We need to find Sages. People... who stand out in one of the six elements. I don't know who. A Zora, there will be a Zora. And a Goron, I think. If you're a descendant... well, we'd have to figure out how to force the Sages to awake. The temples!" Ganondorf suddenly cried. "First we find the sages. Perhaps there are record books down here. Next we take them to the temples, try to make them wake there. After that, Ganondorf will be back. And the Triforce of Power is ours!" He laughed disbelievingly. "This is too good to be true. Just too good.

"An excellent idea my Lord, perhaps the book has a way to locate them," Artemis suggested and picked up the tome. After flipping through the pages, at last she found something useful, "It appears to have a list of enchantments you can use to find the sages. Here try one out on this. If I'm reading this correctly, the needle will point towards the sage of choice." Out of her pocket, the Gerudo produced a small compass she had been carrying during the travels and handed it to the man.

"Well... Nabooru was Sage of Spirit, so let's try this and see if you're the sage." A moment's incantation, and suddenly the needle of the compass changed directions. But it wasn't pointing towards Artemis. It was pointed off back towards the Gerudo's Valley. "Interesting... our Sagely friend isn't here." He paused for a moment. "We'll get this spell out to the Elite Guard. Each will be assigned one Sage. Conveniently, there are six of you," he added wryly. "I myself... well, we will need the Sage of Time. We should know who that is. You must take this to the Guard. Get them compasses. I don't want a moment's delay. I'm still going to be here for a while, although I doubt the marriage will still be going as planned."

"Of course my Lord," Artemis replied as the man handed back her compass. 'I'm not goin all the way back to Gerudo Valley, I'll just give this one to Inariie,' She smirked as she tore out the page from the book. As she walked up the stairs, another thought seemed to hit her, 'If I'm not the Spirit Sage, then that would mean... Lyra. It figures, she's the only person I know willing to go into that creepy place.'

At the top of the stairs, she turned to Kia and with a stern look instructed, "Come with me, I'll explain on the way."

Kia silently snarled and followed Artemis.

"What does Lord Ganondorf will now?" she asked casually. Glancing at the compass in Artemis's hands, she guessed in her head that whatever it was, it had to do with that compass.

"Lord Ganon wishes for us to Gather the six sages in their temples. These compasses should lead us to their sage... in fact, could I see yours for a moment?" Artemis stopped as she asked this. Ganon, who had much experience with magic, had been the one to enchant the one in her hand. Before she presented the mission to the rest of the group, Artemis wanted to make sure she could perform the enchantment herself.

Kia nodded.

"Whatever you say, Artemis," she muttered, sounding resentlful.

~Why does she get to take control?~ she asked herself, quite angry.

While Link was doing most of the chores, Gustave was lounging around... "Ah... Stars look pretty tonight..."
He soon shot up, and looked around cautiously... 'Hm... something bad is going to happen... I feel it...'

Artemis grabbed the compass form her elder and took out the page. She concentrated on the needle and began to speak the words on the pae. suddenly the need became a shade of blue and pointed towards the east, " Hear, this one is for you, It will lead you to the Water sage. According to Lord Ganon's book, the temple should be under Lake Hylia so you should probably grab something that can take you there (metal boots)."

(btw, Yath is nervous about using his Gerudo and wants someone to take it over so... any takers?)

Sofia ran and grabbed Vladimir from behind.

"Gotcha!" she cried, hanging on to his shoulders. The goron grinned where she couldn't see and started dancing rapidly, attempting to throw her off. He succeeded, and Sofia went flying towards an open passage in the city. Luckily, old Njord was walking out of the passage, which lead to his room.

"Sofia, please calm down. You too, Vladimir," he said slowly, making his way even slower over to where his grandson was with Sofia thrown over his hardened shoulders. When he made it to Vladimir, he set Sofia down and gave Vlaimir a look that said 'go away'. The young goron started and ran off in the opposite direction leaving the girl with Njord.

"Sofia, the time has come for me to tell you of your parents," he said gravely. Sofia smiled meekly and allowed him to pick her up again and take her to his chambers. Once they arrived, he began.

"When you were born, you mother was very happy. But that happiness didn't last when your father told her the means for your baptism. He wished for you to be baptized by gorons, as he was descended from us. Your mother was not happy, and she left him and you. Your father decided to go after your mother. We were told to never tell you, but I feel that I have to," Njord finished his speech by sitting back and resting against a wall. Sofia was shocked.

"Njord?" she asked, unable to speak properly. The elder goron nodded grimly and got up to pat her shoulder. That didn't help. Sofia ran out of the chamber crying.

It was a full hour before at last, the entire elite guard had been rounded up. Once they were alone, the young Gerudo explained their mission then told them to take out their compasses. One by one she went to each girl an performed the enchantment. First came Arryl, whose needle turned red in color, "Arryl, you shall find the Fire Sage and take her to the temple deep withing the mountain." The next needle turned a deep green, "Nalani, you shall take your sage to the temple deep inside the forest." When she spoke her next enchantment, the compass in front of her turned purple, "Sila, you shall go to the temple within the Kakariko Graveyard." At the last of the guards, Artemis smirked and took the compass from Inariie and handed her her own compass, "Take the Spirit sage to the Temple in our Desert." With Inariie's compass, Artemis performed the final enchantment and the needle turned yellow.

(Believe it or not, I'm not just making Artemis do this cause I want to move on, it really is just her personality to be bossy sweatdrop )

Arryl grimaced. "Artemis..." she started, but then stopped. Enchantments were not something any Gerudo had a knack for... well, besides Ganondorf. That meant Artemis probably had orders from Ganondorf. So doing anything different would be disobeying Ganondorf. That would be unwise. "Very well," she finished. "I shall prepare myself for being away some extended time." With that, she disappeared into the camp, intent on packing up.
