acarian sat in the car looking out the window. the two hour drive had been exausting, and acarian was very bored.
"acarian, look, there's your new school up ahead." the husky driver next to acarian said.
yes, i see it charlie, but why can't i stay with you and help out in the store? acarian asked pleadingly.
"acarian, you know as well as i do that you desperately need an education, and you will fit in really well at this school. maybe you will even find someone here." charlie said, glancing at acarian and pulling up in front of the school.
"well charlie, it looks like this is goodbye for a while." acarian said, feeling a tear come to his eye.
" i believe it is.charlie said, reaching into the back and grabbing a suitcase for acarian. acarian and charlie both got out of the car and walked to the front of the school.
"well charlie, it's been fun." acarian said turning to face charlie and gave him one last hug before heading up the pathway to the school.
"bye acarian, i will try to visit sometime soon" charlie said, getting in the car and driving away. acarian walked in the school, grabbed the information that he needed, and went to his room. he threw his stuff on his bed, opened the window, and jumped out, spreading his wings and flying up on the roof, where he sat and thought.

The Next Day; Pep rally/First day of school


Kiyoko could hear the faint sound of an alarm clock over her still-playing Ipod. The music was mixed with a 'BEEP BEEP BEEP' sound. Irritated and still half-asleep while clutching a doll, she took out the earbuds and looked around, ignoring the buzzing for a moment. Where was she again? Oh! That's right, she was at the academy, and today was the pep rally at....nine.

"Muah...time..wha.....What time is it?!" she said alound in a sudden but harsh whisper. She sat straight up and looked at the clock. She then gave a sigh of relief; it was 7 AM, just when she planned on getting up. She grinned and laied down gracefully back onto the bed for a moement, her purple hair covering most of the pillow. Once she awoke without being in panic a few minutes later, she got up and began to get ready for the rally.

Laura was already up and awake; she had had to get up at 5:30, along with the other teachers and staff. They had to get this place ready, and fast. There were ballons in the school's colors: red and blue, as well as other various shiny decorations. So far it was going well; no broken bones or mishaps yet. Ms. Marywater observed quietly as the place was getting set up. Laura could tell that she was pleased; they both had discussed exactly how it was going to go, and hopefully get rid of any troulbemakers early on.

"Alright guys! Good job so far. Now let's take a quick coffee break!" the principal grinned as she addressed to the small breakfest table set up for them.

With joy and relief at their so far good progress, Laura took a donut and made a cup of coffee, and joined the other teachers on the bench.

Kiyoko had finished brushing her washing her face and cleaning her breath, when she could hear a strange sound outside the bathroom. Curious and a bit nervous, she opened the door and looked around the living room. She then saw a person outside the window on the balcony. Horrified, her wings shot out of her body, envloping her for a moment in a feathery cacoon; a normal defense position. When she realized that something was different, her wings went back where they were normally as she went towards the window. It was just another student; she sighed with relief. She opened the window/door, hoping that he didn't see through it; it was the main reason people scared on her in her younger years. "Can I help you?" she asked, feeling ridiculous that she was still in her teddy-bear-covered pjs.

She raised an eyebrow at his attitude. "Well, the pep rally should be taking place in the gym. The gym itself is not too far from the cafeteria. Chances are that there are signs all over the place, so people won't get lost." she answered. "Of course, I didn't have to answer the door, if my pjs bother you that much." she added.

Kiyoko smiled. "Nah, it's just early in the morning, so I'm not completely awake yet." she answered, then yawned. "Er, sorry. You see my point though. I'm Kiyoko." she answered. She then realized that it was rather nice out. Although the sun wasn't up yet, it was nice and warm, with very few clouds in the sky. Usually a good omen.

Kyo sat down exhausted, in front of Laura. Kyo been blowing up balloons all morning and is pretty much out of breath. "Man, this is crazy... HOW MANY BALLONS DO WE NEED!!" Kyo complained. Flash leaped on to the table with a can of redbull. Kyo quickly picked up the can and sculled the drink down. "FULL POWER!!" Kyo got up and ran to the balloons and began blowing them up again.

"Eh, it depends how long it takes me to get ready....oh, you're awake!" Kiyoko heard the question come from within, and seeing Kirai awake, walked over to him. He was the only guy she seemed comforatble with so far; the other new guy nerved her a bit, for some reason. "Sure, you can go first. I"ll just get my stuff out of there real quick!" she answered, running into the bathroom and taking out her set-up clothes, sat them on her bed. This would cause her to run behind, but not if she was quick. As she came back to shut the door, she figured she'd at least better politely say goodbye for now. "Well, I'll see you later; I have to get ready!" she said, and closed the balcony door/window.

Laura was about to respond to Kyo's comment, but seeing Flash help him chug down the Redbull then run back to more ballon-making, she had to bite her hand to stiffle her giggles. She wasn't the only one; a few others muffled their laughter as well.

Kiyoko was fixing up the room a bit, fluffing the pillows and arranging the animals on her bed. She noticed a noise, and realized that the boy was still there. She felt a bit irritated; why was he still hanging around (er, quite literally)? She went over and shut the blinds, then dusting them off some. She decided to leave them shut and the door locked; at least then he wouldn't come barging in.
