Sara nodded and got up and started rummaging around. She pulled out two frying pans and a flat skilit one would make pancakes on. She got a few bowls out and pulled out the bacon sausages. She pulled out the cheese before frowning at it and shoving it back inside. She produced a green pepper and a block of chedder cheese. A serarch found her an onion as well as a tomatoe along with a few other things one or two of them you didn't usually see in an omlet. "Trrruuussstttt me...this'll be worth the wait." She said as she went about chunking everything up and frying up the bacon and saugage. About ten minutes later she heaped a very healthy looking onlet onto Victoria's plate. "I have yet to see them serve something like that in a restaurant." She said. "Ya'll didn't have the really good cheese or the really good ham...so I had to improvise."

((yeesh. I leave for an evening and there are fifty posts by the time I return. OK so it's more like fifteen, but still. I must say I'm quite surprised.))

X-23 gave Lizz a small grin in return for her comment about Albel, and said "Mornin' back at ya" when the girl gave her official greetings. Before anything else could be said, the kitchen was decended upon by people. There had already been three of them in there after Albel left, and now there were suddenly three more people. The first was called Tobias, and he was clearly not awake yet. Lizz called the second David, and the third hadn't been named yet, though, he too, seemed half asleep.

David had addressed her with a "morning person-from-yesterday-I-don't know", so she decided that as she'd already begun the day by being civil, she'd keep it up. She might not be much of a people person, thanks to her trainers, but she wasn't a recluse by any means. It was just hard to make friends because of what she was, not interact with people on a basic level. So she turned towards him and said, "Morning. And the name's Laura, by the way. You're David, right?"

Tobias looked groggily about at the sudden crowd, all of whom he pretty much towered over, as he took a swig of his coffee. "Mrrgh. S'like bein' swarmed by midgets." The hot caffeine had already begun to work its magic, apparently, as he became a good deal more coherent. "If there's any ham or bacon or somethin' in the fridge, I'll fry some up."

Aarin's entrance startled Albel; after all anybody magically appearing next to you, accompanied with a loud shriek, is not something you expect while jogging in the morning.

"...A very interesting proposition, 'Mate', there is however a slight problem", Albel barked. "Now how do I know I can trust you?, and for that matter how do I know that this isn't some setup designed by 'Miss Blue'?"

Sloft, silent footsteps crossed the floor as Damon made his way over to the door of his room. Graced by the presence of a mild headache, accented with various aches and pains all over his body, this was a chore in itself. His hair was mottled from the bed and his clothing was no more than a large wrinkle, not that he was in a position to notice.

Opening the door slightly to peer outside, he caught a glimpse of Victoria as she made her way down the stairs. Seemed everyone woke early in this building. Opening the door further, he slipped through before returning shutting the door once more. He took his time with every action, completing them silently as not to disturb anyone. A practice he had learned throughout his life.

He then approached the top of the stairwell, releasing a silent breath as he made his way down them, uncertain of what awaited him.

Passing the carton of eggs to Sara as she went to rummage around in the fridge, Victoria immediately stepped back and let her get to work. Originally, she was going to offer to help, but Sara seemed to have it under control. Crossing over to the kitchen island, she pulled up a stool and perched herself on top as she waited patiently for the Southern to live up to her promise.

Ten minutes later, Victoria found herself staring blankly at the counter in front of her when an omelet filled plate was pushed into her field of vision. Perking up as the dazzling smells of cooked eggs, cheese and meats entered her nose, she straightened up and flashed a smile of appreciation in Sara's direction. "Thank you so much," said Victoria honestly as she grabbed a fork and took a bite. It was nearly twice as delicious as she had expected it to be. "You are now internally in my debt, Sara."

Sara looked around the kitchen. "Anyone else want an omlet?" She offered as she tiedied up her mess. She'd make herself scrambled eggs. She was going to have an omlet but she changed her mind and if she didn't hurry she was going to change it again and make another omlet for herself.

Voices, accompanied by the distinct smell of a homestyle breakfast, led Damon to the kitchen he had been in the day before. It no longer looked out of repair and one person was whizzing around the stove and counter tops, a flurry of culinary skill that would put many a self-proclaimed chef to shame. An ache filled the empty void that was his stomach. He hadn't eaten in a while. Running doesn't leave much time to think on food.

He had a decent enough knowledge of food preparation, the culinary arts course he had been enrolled in at his last high school having been put to good use. He had been alone at his home most of the time, so knowledge of how to prepare food for himself seemed helpful. And basing off of what he knew, the girl in front of him was far better at making breakfast than he was.

Damon sidled into the kitchen, remaining near the wall as he had done the day before. He didn't wish to be in anyone else's way, deciding on making himself something after the others were finished.

"Yep, that's me!" David replied, a cheery grin on his face. "Laura, huh? That's a pretty name," he said, pondering it for a moment. He finished off his cup of coffee, and was now fully awake.

"Since nobody else seems to want to do it," he said, eyeing Lance briefly, "I guess it's up to me to officially welcome you to this patchwork family," he added. "So, er, welcome!" he said with his usual cheerful grin.

X-23, or, as we should probably now call her, Laura, gave David one of her exceedingly rare smiles. "Thanks for the welcome. I don't get that sort of thing very often."

She glanced around the room taking them all in. Now was as good a time as any to ask them questions. They were getting to know each other a bit, and she figured they wouldn't take it too amiss if she made a few inquiries. She directed her first one back to David since she was technically already in a conversation with him. "So, what exactly is this place, and what have I gotten myself into?"

Sara paused in her whizzing about the kitchen when she spotted Damon. She grinned at him. "Well good mornin sunshine." She said cheerfully before glancing at Victoria. "How's the omlet?" She asked before returning her attention to Damon. "I'm fix'in breakfast if yer interested. I can do eggs in any style and omlets...." She said gesturing to the one Victoria was feasting on.

Conner didn't speak until the cake was completely gone, he wanted to take the time to digest what she projected.

"If you mean the people at the Brotherhood house then ,no I got away, as you can see, without getting hurt." He answered. "But I'm curious, how did you know I was there? And why are you interested?" He asked, trying and failing to keep the suspicion out of his voice. "As for where I'm headed...I'm currently living in a place over that way." He pointed to show her the visible part of the Institute grounds. "It's a place where people like you and me can live safely, develop our abilities and mingle with similar people." He figured he'd try the sales pitch, he may have not been able to get Aarin to join up and Damon more-or-less turned up on his own but he might be able to get Ellen into the fold. "Do you want to come see the place?" He asked her "I'm pretty sure Victoria would be happy to see you." He added.

"Uh..."

Damon shifted his eyes around the kitchen, as if the various countertops and tilework would help him to answer. The ache in his stomach made it apparent that IT was interested, but he didn't wish to be a bother. Thoughts of if he should accept her offer were counteracted by thoughts of why he shouldn't. In the end, even hunger couldn't overcome his reservation.

He remained silent, eyes trailing the floor.

"Good," said Victoria appreciatively as Sara asked how she was enjoying her meal. "Very good, in fact. You're right, they don't serve them like this in restaurants at all." After eating a bit more then half, the young mutant decided that as much as she loved it, she had reached her fill and that shoving anymore down her throat would be quiet piggish. Putting down her fork and scooting the unfinished bit of omelet toward the center of the island, her ears pricked slightly as she heard someone else enter the room. Looking over to the door, she was rather surprised to see that it was Damon.

"Morning!" she said softly to the boy as she looked him over carefully. Sara then repeated her offer to make him breakfast, but the boy seemed too shy to answer once again. Victoria sighed softly at this but made no other verbal observatons as she debated the best way to break him of that habit.

Blade looked around as people began to pile in. The young woman bit her lip before answering Sara.
"I'd like an omlet, if you don't mind Sara." Blade smiled at the others and decided to introduce herself. "I'm Blade, by the way." She addressed everyone other than Sara. "It really is my name!" Blade laughed nervously. Though she was more of an outgoing person, she did have a few shy moments.
