Axel of Flamez Guy flute players rock, straightforward. lol Plus, when you're second best only to a girl that's taken flute for 7 years(I've taken it for...3) in your school, you know you're pretty flipping good. biggrin jyes beat down them peeps who've played and payed to get where they're at.

I play piccolo and flute! They're a lot of fun, even though my BD hates piccolos and hates me for actually daring to play piccolo before I got to symphonic band (top band). *GASP* My BD is a total control freak.

I'm not exactly shy about telling people that i'm the second best flute player in my state, and i'm only second to a girl who has studied flute for 10 years, and i've only played for 5.

Schizophrenic Spork I play piccolo and flute! They're a lot of fun, even though my BD hates piccolos and hates me for actually daring to play piccolo before I got to symphonic band (top band). *GASP* My BD is a total control freak. That sucks. I love playing piccolo. Plus right now everyone is revering me for actually playing piccolo in my youth symphony, because we're playing Firebird. Which has one of the most difficult flute/piccolo parts in orchestral literature. It makes me want to shoot myself in the face.

I actually play flute... played it originally, then picked up every woodwind instrument (including oboe) except bassoon... And i'm gonna learn it next.
But yeah, doubling is fun... I'm in pit, and I play the flute, pic, clarinet, Eb Soprano clarinet, and bass clarinet... IT ROXORZ!!

Keltzy Either I am blind and didn't read the board right, or there are no flute topics. I saw other instrument topics so I thought I'd make one too. Um flute players, any of out there? Today was our first day of school and my first day playing with a different band. I was different, probably 'cause most the class forgot their instruments. sweatdrop We played pep band music, and I felt weird, 'cause the other two flutes were organizing stuff . . . But enough of my ranting, please, come talk!! I LOVE TO PLAY THE FLUTE and i really need help my teacher wants us to walk to a school to practis and i dont want to so ... i like band!!!!!!!!!!i no someone that plays the picalo and is really really good!!!!

wow...I just read the comment above me and thats awesome. Anyway I need some tips also on how to imporve my tone. My problem happens to be that I can make a note be in the right ovative but after a few seconds it drops down lower that its needed to be. but yeah I probably made no sense but thats the only way I know how to explain it. But anyway can anyone help me or give me some tips? Thanx
