Again silence commanded the air. Celia didn't really know what to do to respond...Should she just tell him and get it over with? No, she didn't like that idea. She wanted to keep it quiet, to keep as few people as possible involved...The fewer knew about it, the better. As far as she knew, Micoi didn't really seem the type to tell people what had really happened...No, no she seemed more like she would attempt to get the Knight to reveal it herself, and that was not going to happen...Thus, how could Baran possibly find out?
"...Its getting a bit late out,"she said rather suddenly. She just wanted to stop this line of conversation, honestly. If she could have just stayed with him, that would have been one thing...but at this rate, she felt like it might slip out any minute. She had to avoid that. Celia decided then and there that it was better to just be away from people than have them know she was a killer...Demons or not, she had ended lives needlessly.

"Huh?" Baran blinked. They had only been outside for a short time... but he supposed Celia was right. Besides, he reasoned, he did need to go find Neith. She probably knew that and was feeling guilty about keeping him away. Grinning slightly now he stood and offered her his hand. "Let's go, then."

A little smile crossed her face. Celia realized that for the moment, she didn't have to worry...After all, he didn't know, so as long as she did in fact manage to keep her lip buttoned, there was no problem...And, the conversation had shifted, thus it wasn't too likely that she would slip up...As long as that kept up, she could probably stay a little while longer...
The Knight extended her hand to his, and got to her feet, rather spontaneously deciding that he needed to be hugged. She wrapped her arms around his waist, pulling him into the embrace. Part of her wanted to keep silent about everything, but she still wanted to say something. "...Thanks, Baran..."she said, just enjoying the moment.

(Hahaha. Ouch. Sorry for the delay in posting. In other news, I'll be going to work in UK for three months starting next Friday! O: I'm almost completely sure I'll have Internet, so no panic yet! xD)
She was getting bored. Grinning sharply, if friendly, at the dragon fighter... her "sparring partner", Empress cheated. Just a tiny, teeny bit, extending a bit of wind magic along her sword to help the hand-jarring attack sweep the sword out of the fighter's grip.
"I win." She wanted to kill him, to bathe in his blood, to eat his flesh... But you never knew where someone like that had been, so she'd rather eat even the lowliest of youkai before she ate a dragon... Beside the Dragon Emperor. Yes. That thing she'd eat in a heartbeat, tear him apart and enjoy eating his spluttering heart in front of his dimming eyes. But no time for planning of that kind right now.
"Thank you for the spar," Empress said with a nod and fleeting grin, turning over to Ana as she put the sword away, ignoring Earth's muted trashing.
"It's great of you to be here watching me train, sweetest. It's not as exciting as a real battle, after all," Empress said and first lifted Ana's hand to kiss the back of it, a gentle brush of lips, to then - while still clasping the hand and pressing it to her... its/his flat male (if she could just...) chest - lean forward and brush her lips over Ana's cheek.
"I hope I didn't distract you from your duties?" Empress, while she couldn't care less about Ana's duties and would rather keep her to herself all day and night, preferably in the bedroom, made the words sound sincere, because that's what Liozu would have said it like. Though she longed to be able to say the same thing and make it clear she didn't care about the chores, but were all too happy to have Ana right in front of her. Where she belonged.

On another note, the contrast between BaranxCelia and EmpressxAna frankly creeps me out. xD;; ))
Ana was already blushing and Liozu's actions did not help any. "I... I'm on break," she managed to get out, surprised to hear a voice in her head say that she would have come to watch regardless. "You were wonderful," she added breathlessly, unable to stop an adoring light coming to her brown eyes.
Baran could not help a foolish grin spreading across his face. "Don't worry about it," he heard himself say, a slightly giddy note to his words, the sentence ending on a definite upbeat. He slipped his arms around her, holding her to his body.

She was glad to be so close to him, even if it was only for a moment or two. Celia closed her eyes a little and let him hold her, thinking it was possibly too good to be true...Did things this lucky really happen to her? She had been so quiet and timid when she first came to the castle...When had she started to lighten up?...As far as she knew, she was still the same...Even up to the trip to Arinas. Who knew? Maybe it was the lost continent itself that had done this to her...But maybe this change was for the best.

((XD; One's going to the UK and the other's in Denmark. Ah well. =o Btw, sis, could you ask mom and Pelle if they want anything from the taxfree on the ship? XD; It's not big and I don't got a whole lot of time, but still. It's a taxfree.
And Jette and Aage had internet. =o DIdn't know that, but of course, seems kinda stupid that they wouldn't, eh? *not read the posts or anyting though* XD; ))

"Thank you, sweetest. It's easier to do well when you're here to watch me, though," Empress grinned and leaned against the rail that surrounded the outdoors training area, leaning in for another brief kiss at Ana's temple.
"Your present will be finished soon. I hope you'll like it." Empress was satisfied with the jeweler's progression of the works she had commissioned him for, both Ana's present, the very special gifts for a very special event and the... other pieces of jewellery. Oh yes. She couldn't wait to wear them.
(( xDD And, yeah. The difference is rather striking, isn't it? One is good and fluffy and innocent, and the other... is not. xD Empress might lurve her innocent, shy little butterfly, but it won't be very safe for this butterfly to flutter around in the cupped hands of this "child".))

"Come on," Baran said after a moment, stepping away although he could feel... something trying to pull him back to her. "I need to go deliver my report." He winced at the thought. "I really need to go now. My head'll be on a platter if I'm any later than this. You coming?" Baran asked, offering her his hand with a smile.
"O-oh?" Ana felt an excited little smile tug up the ends of her mouth further. She should not be so eager to receive a present, but she could not help herself. "You... you didn't need to do that. I'm... I'm happy just being with you."

"But I want to give you a present," Empress said with a smile, then jumped over the railing like it didn't exist, and cupped Ana's face in her hands.
"But I also love to just spend time with you. But now I really need to go... There's been reports of youkai in the forests around the city. No one's been hurt yet, but it's only a matter of time. I'm going to have a look around, and if I'm lucky, I'll meet some. If I don't see you before night, sweet dreams." Empress grinned and leaned down to kiss Ana's forehead, then left for the city and beyond.
Despite the time together, she had only kissed Ana on the mouth a few times; not because she didn't long to kiss Ana every possible moment, but because anything done with Ana reminded her that the body was wrong. The body disgusted her, and she didn't want to defile Ana's beautiful body with this unpleasant piece of flesh. Ana deserved much better.
And she, herself, could not stand to do something as nice as sex in a male body. The thought didn't bear thinking of, even if she wouldn't even be on the "receiving end" so to speak.
But enough of that she had youkai to lure and, later, dreams to play with... She wouldn't stand for Ana to stay ignorant of the possibilities of herself as female any longer. She was going to start to turn Ana's mind to this in earnest, this night.

"Well, we wouldn't want to see any decapitation today,"She said in reply with a little bit of a coy smile. Of course, an instant later said smile had changed and become honestly bigger and warmer than it had been in a while, as she closed both of her hands around his, quite happy to go with him. He made her feel good...It was frankly a welcome change from her mood as of late.
Something didn't quite seem right...What it was though, was hard to say. The little dragon could feel that there was something just a little off...But she looked content. That, at least, he was glad to see...And since that was the case, whatever this odd feeling was, he would let it slide for now...After all, he could always discuss it with her later...Kahaku fluttered his way back up onto Celia's shoulders, settling himself comfortably to tag along.

"You should probably wait for me outside," Baran said as they neared the kitchens. "I wasn't, uh, really supposed to take you with me." He laughed, but the sound was nervous as he thought about what the head maid would say if/when she found out. "Although I guess it did look less suspicious than it would have been since I could just say we were on a date..."

"Okay,"she replied, nodding a bit as she (slightly reluctantly) let go of his hand. Obviously, she didn't want Baran to get into trouble because of her...And knowing Neith, regardless of whether or not it would have given Baran a better alibi, would probably not like the fact they were somewhat goofing off while he was supposed to have been working...
Of course, it had really been a bit of a blessing that they had both been there, considering the crowd that gathered around the royal couple...Not that she didn't trust Baran's skill as a fighter, but...Well, the Duel Dragon had a tendency to make more of an impression while trying to scatter people, which had worked in their favor...After all, the people in the city were used to the fighters. The Knights, however, were frankly a little less of a common sight, thus the people seemed to be a little more careful around them.
She leaned up against the wall outside the kitchens, waiting for him to finish his report.

When Baran stepped out into the hallway later, still wincing a little from his ordeal with the head maid, Celia was gone. He felt his spirits drop as he looked about; had he really been that long? Maybe someone had come to drag her away... Still, he had hoped she would have come and told him if she had to go...
Baran sighed. Oh well. Nothing to it. She was a Dragon Knight after all. She probably had plenty of other business to take care of... He frowned as he walked back out to the HQ, rubbing at the side of his head. Someone nearby had just added another spell to the mess of them in the castle. Great, just what he needed.
