`Kaze knelt down abayante in the corner of the tea room and pulled down her shining black hair from her bun. She ran her fingers through it, freeing the tangles before her delicate, pale fingers drew the strands into a long, black cord that drifted down her back.

"Yes, charcoal is done very lightly though for the beginning maiko though." She said to Luna, "There isn't a specific way to apply the make-up. All you do is just paint it on, all over your face and neck down below your collar bone. I know in the beginning it is hard to do the out line of the prongs of the neck so Tanpopo and I will make an outline for you so all you do is to make sure you stay in the lines." Iyasu answered Reijin's question softly, "Ready?"

4 - Asuka watched as the maiko carefully put on their makeup. It looked like a complicated process. Asuka imagined herself in the maiko's shoes. Perhaps one day she would too have to go through that same process. Asuka snapped back to herself, remembering that were probably duties to be done. Asuka slowly approached Iyasu and bowed her head. "May I help you in any way?"

"All right, just open that jar and take the bigger brush, dip it in and start to paint all over your face." She said with a smile. "Make sure you get down below your color bone. When you are done with your face, I will do the outline for your neck." Iyasu added with a soft smile.

Luna didn't move she'd placed her han don the box but had drawn back. A nervouse look seemed to flash past her eyes and she lowered her head. "I... I don't think I can do it right..." her voice was small and weak and her eyes avoided Iyasu, She never got nervouse about painting but then it wasn't on herself and she feared she would mess up and wast the materials.

Iyasu faced Luna with a confident smile, "How so, my dear?" She looked her straight in the eye, her hazel eyes were warm and gentle. She had been in her shoes before, she knew how nervous she must be.

Luna shook her head. "I wont be able to do it." She was nervouse and trembling slightly. "I'm sorry..." She looked at Popo and swallowed opening the box slowly.

Luna lowered her head. "I just got hit with a wave of anxiety..." She trailed off. "I just need a little help." She was worried about not making her debut and upsetting Iyasu and Popo.

"A little wave anxiety will come here and there, there is no need to fear it." She assured her younger sister, "Luna-chan, why don't you try applying the make-up on me first? Might that help you?"

Luna shook her head. The last thing she wanted to do was mess up on Iyasu. "I'll do it on myself..." She opened the materials and paused picturing what she wanted in her mind before moving infront of a mirror.

Reijin had picked up a brush to apply her makeup, but her hand paused mid-air as Luna voiced her concerns. Reijin set the brush back down in the box and turned to look at her friend. "Luna-san, I believe in you,"she said softly, smiling reassuringly.
