She grinned and tossed him the square box. "You wanted music, I give thee music." She said enthusiastically, swinging her feet.

He cought the box then gave her a look of utter disbelief. "If this is a freakin violin I will... I dont know hug you, give a big kiss on the cheek or something." He opened the box and grinned widely. He stared at its beauty for a moment longer then closed it and wrapped his arms tightly around Layna, he picked her up and swong around in circles.

She squealed with childish delight and grinned at him. "I'm glad you like it. I told you I would get you one." She was overjoyed that he liked the simple gift. She felt a certain bond with him, a sibling rivalry, and a sibling love.

He simply tossed her in a random direction as he sat down placing the case on the ground infront of him. He held it to his chin as he adjusted the strings. After a few seconds he slid the bow across the strings, the made a low mornful tone that wasnt quiet right but it was closer.

She growled softly as she sat sat down next to him. "It's in need of some fine tuning, but it's only brand-new," She rolled her eyes," what can you expect?"

Rowaneath entered the park still covered in paint, she ran over to Layna and Jeff a grin on her face "you need to tune it a bit more Jeff" she said the smile still on her face. She started peeling off bits of paint "Layna you should see me room when it dries... it took me about three hours to paint it all lucky i had the music on repeat or I would of gone quiet mad" she said with a small laugh.

Jeff smiled to both of them. "I know Rowaneath. Thank you again Layna." He continued to tune it. "THis isnt the first violin... Actually its the second."

Rowaneath looked at Jeff with love and respect for him, she looked at Layna and saw her as a sister "that reminds me Layna... where's Spencer... i think... he'd probably want his guitar back" she looked at where she had left the guitar it still looked the same as when he had given it to her. She loved the guitar, but it had been Spencer's father's guitar and she didn't feel right keeping it.

Layna smiled, her nose twitching. "Did you need to paint yourself in the process of this, Rowan?" She looked at Rowaneath, a quirky grin spreading across her lips. "Zarathos? He's probably sleeping off our evening...." She rolled her eyes dramatically. You know why....so I won't say it out loud.

"Didn't mean to... you dont like the colours?"she grinned evily the paint was still a bit wet so she tackled Layna "there now you is all prettiful" her smile was soft and playful.

Jeff experimentally slid the bow across the strings, the sound seemed even better of quality. This time he made it a soothing hiss. He wrinkled his nose, it still wasnt right. "Close." He said more to him self. "Hey Ronie come close for a second." His voice held an absent tone.

Rowaneath laughed lightly regarding layna with her saphire eyes, then she walked a bit closer to Jeff "yes?" she asked softly looking at Jeff's concentration with the violin. She stood about a foot away from him.

Jeff's hand slowly reached up to her's and brough it to his lips kissing it. "I love you." His voice was warm, loving and he ment his words. He took his eyes from the violin as he made the last adjustments.
