Maybe Snow didn't take the pen from her attacker, but was writing something important herself.

I am hoping she is stable enough tomorrow for microsurgery on the skull fractures. Once pressure on the brain is relieved, there is a better chance of her regaining consciousness.

*Looks over to Cho curiously.* Has anyone found her journal? She carries that thing everywhere with her. She was most likely writing in it when she was attacked. *Shrugs.*

I am certain that they do. The fact that she is not dead after essentially having a wall fall on her is testament to that. But there are several factors in play for her recovery and I am taking measures to ensure that there, in fact, will BE a recovery.
