Sighing then taking in a deep breath, Sakeme redid her handseal and focused her chakra more precisely. Hoping she was aiming at herself in her own reflection. The whole reflection thing seemed a bit wierd, she supposed. Though it was just like using it on someone else. She got to see what she did to people before she was sucked into the genjutsu herself... It was odd. What was it really though? Could the eyes hypnotize, or was it solely chakra getting to the brain? She remembered Shikamori sensei talking about how the uchiha used the reflection method to teach themselves genjustu. He said that they not only could learn the jutsu by doing this, but help themselves defend against it, and, on top of that, keep themselves from getting hurt because of their sharingan. Lucky bums...

It seemed as if it were all in one swift blow, the illusion around she shattered into pieces. Raising her hand up, over her eyes, she could feel the gleam on the sun down on her. It was a bit lower than it had been before. Now there's one thing I didn't think of... time. I should practice making time pass in the genjutsu too. Making the sun rise and fall, adjusting the shadows... That'll help a great deal... There would also be the issue of night time later. Letting the moon rise and fall and all that, along with the stars. They moved too... or atleast they appeared to when the earth rotatedm, that is. However, she would save that for later.

Putting her hands into the horse seal, getting her fingers to work properly, she stared at the rippling water under her feet and cast herself, once again, into her genjutsu. Walking around, she tested herself a bit, making the sun lower than what she'd seen it as in the real world. In order to compliment the lowering of the sun, she stretched the shadows too. She was trying to get them just right, however. Any jounin and higher would notice something as out of place as a shadow that was too long or too short for its time of day. She wondered though. I fthere was a full moon, would they notice the shadows the moon gave as much as they would notice shadows of the sun? That was a question she might have to ask later... just to be sure. She would also have to watch the calender too when doing something liek this at night. If they knew the moon, making a full one when it's supposed to be a cresent could be disaterous.

The shadows were getting too long now... and a bit mishapen. The shadow for a boulder was starting to look like a snake. That wouldn't do... not at all. She would have to straighten that up as soon as possible. Thing was, as she tried to reshap the shadows, the sun leaked out of her grasp and started rising again until it had hit the high noon point. Now she had evening shadows with a high noon sun, and a very tired self... The evening shadows looked kind of cool though... with their long slithery looks and twistedness. It was more interesting to look at than the bulky blobs that usually made up the shadows at noon time anyways...

Shallow breaths could be heard as random things went out of place and her mind worked hard at trying to fix them. She would have to make a run through, letting the sun rise over the horizon making the shadows long. ANother change she made as it rose was giving the sky a bit of a greyish color. It usually looked a bit dull in the mornings and then during sunsets were orange and pink, and other colors. from there, she went on though... letting the sun rise bit by bit, and keeping the shadows of the rocks and cactuses in place. For a while, she, herself, was completely covered in shadow. She never really paid attention to the sky before, to be honest. She just knew its colors at such ungodly hours because of pintings she'd seen. She once saw this series of painting that was of the same person, but at different points in the day. They had one for when the sun was barely rising, to wake up time, to mid morning, to noon, to after noon, to evening, to twilight, to late night. They were kind of cool. She saw a special one of the person on the night of a new moon... The picture was puitch black. No person there.

As the sun continued on across it's path in the sky, the shadows became shorter and shorter, eventually shedding some light on herself and casting her own shadow that could be distinguished between the others in the canyon. To her it seeme dlike she was doing well, though she was making time go by faster that it normally did. That would freak out some genin... Later she would have to practice making it gradual, but for now, she just wanted to make sure things matched up properly. It would be too bad if the first person she caught in this justu was a weakling academy student of genin. What would be cool would be to catch a chunin in it though. She knew she'd be getting her hopes up way too high if she thought she could catch a jounin in this...

In no time at all, or so it seemed, Sakeme was able to get the sun back up to its noon point, and made the shadows around her smaller, darker, and denser... With the sun being directly overhead it was a bit hard to get some of the shadows of rocks, but other than that, it was fine. She made sure to add heat as well. You can't be out in the sun, around noon, in Iwa, without heat. Trouble was... getting the rigth heat. Heat did seem to be less noticeable that the pattern of the sun, though. If it was a degree or two cooler, no one would notice unless they were super senseitive. If it were ten degrees or so, the person would just count their blessings and be happy it was cooler. That's what she figured anyways. Then again, the people that lived around here were used to the heat, so it would seem odd to them. Changed too dramatically and they might think it was way too cold. Wierdos...

She presses the sun and inch fruther, making the heat fluxuate as she went, trying to get the rigth temperature and keeping the shadows in line with the sun all at once. Doing all of these at once was putting way too much straing on her mind and chakra supply, so the genjutsu shattered itself. Damn it... I was so close too... I'll just have to start from noon again... and not try to fix three things at once... It all seemed to be completely tedious work for now, but she hoped it would be worth it. She was sure soemthing good would come out of this after all.

She tried placing herself in the genjutsu again, but it didn't seem to be working. Was she doing it right? Was she just tired? She didn't want to take a break, as she knew she wouldn't before... To her the safest time to rest was either after you'd exhausted yourself to the point of not being able to get up, or after you'd finished what you needed to do. She wasn't at thet point where she was too tired, yet... so she wouldn't stop until she was done. Hopefully that would come before complete exhaustion.

Another round came forth and went, leaving the poor girl, who'd been doing so well before, behind in its dust. She wasn't too sure what she could do besides keep herself out of the genjutsu for a bit and then try to do it later. Sighing, it seemed as if she'd been doing that a lot lately... though nothing new, she undid her handseal and relaxed her shoulders. Clsoing her eyes, she tried to get her breathing abck to normal, trying to take long deep breaths, instead of short shallow ones.

Though she was relaxing her boby in preperation for anothe rgenjutsu, she wasn't feeling any better. Relaxing her mind wasn't something she was good at doing, unless she was going to sleep or daydreaming. She couldn't do either because she'd get too into it that she wouldn't want to stop... Instead, she tried to go into meditation mode. Whatever that was. If she could make her thoughts blank, which was impossible, she might be able to relax. The most she could do, however, was focus on the blackness she saw behind her eyelids.

She'd gotten her mind to the point, atleast, where she didn't have too much of a headache anymore... Now was time for another step. She was going to have to picture the genjutsu in her mind without actually casting it. By doing this she was preparing herself somewhat, and, in a way, testing the waters. Soon she would cast the genjutsu on herself again. At the moment she needed to get a few things straight with herself. Have her midn clear and know what to do and when.

Figuring she had had enough mental preperation, though she wanted to keep in the relaxed state for longer, she'd opened her eyes, stared at herself in the rippling water, and formed the handseal to cast herself into another genjutsu. She had placed herself back where she'd left off, at noon, with the sun high in the sky. Thing was, it looked like things were rippling. Not the water, but everything, like she was staring into a marage... It was really odd. Was she water deprived?

With a bit more concentraition the odd, marage-like ripple were disappearing. Now it was time for her to get a move on and finish up. She felt like she was getting the hang of it;. Not too many more details needed to be delt with. To her anyways. The sun was still at high noon, and the shadows were still dark and dense. The heat was getting unbearable... She silently wondered why she would ever want to do this to herself... but she also knew it was a handy trick for later. She wouldn't have to find volunteers anymore, but she would have to keep her new sensei by her so she wouldn't hurt herself.

As she was starting to move the sun and shadows in place, the ripple started up again. Am I dehydrated or what? I swear these things wont disappear... The heat of the sun she'd created beat down upon her, and made her think it was true. Shaking her head, she tried to wipe away the nonexistant sweat she felt forming. She could almost see it in the water below here too. Reaching down, she cupped her hands into the water and lifted it to her face. Nothing... still, nothing...
