She let out a little sigh of relief; He wasn't angry...Heh, he was probably too distracted to have really noticed anyway...And she was free to go! Brilliant! She turned back to face Baran, smiling as she asked "Well, it looks like I don't have to go...So can I go with you?" The Knight hadn't really stopped to think that Baran might want to make his report alone...Hopefully, he wouldn't mind.
Kahaku was frankly...Quite surprised to hear Celia's tone. She hadn't been respectful in the least, as far as his opinion went...It was strange. The dragon was thankful to the universe that the Lord was so distracted...Yes, he hoped dearly for the Lady's speedy recovery...But a repremand was not something the Water Knight needed at the moment.

The younger dragon just shook her head rather vigoriously if you considered how much, or little, she had moved so far. "N-not... here. P... pa... paren..." She certainly seemed to have trouble spitting out that word for some reason. Such a simple word as "parents" shouldn't be so hard but having lived all her life without those, more or less (seeing as Kanak was only partly her parent), Micoi seemed to have trouble with them now that she remembered them.

Jett remained thoroughly confused. He wished there was some way to summon the elusive Kanak to Draqueen, but he could think of no way. In the meantime, he simply held Micoi and let her cry, unsure of what to do.

It took quite a while, long enough for Celia and Baran to leave and for people to almost walk into the hall but head on out again and take another route in order to not be a possible nuisance, but the future queen of Dusis finally seemed to calm down to the point of her just lying (comfortably, poor Jett's arms had to be giving up soon) there in his arms. Then, finally, there was a sound in the otherwise quiet hall (and awfully quiet castle, that it could be so quiet when people actively avoided one part of it). The sound in question was Micoi's voice, which began at a low volume but never rose much higher than a soft conversation tone.
"... painting. I had... forgotten them for a reason. Don't want to see it again. Too much... too young." Here she pressed her lips together again to keep any strong emotions from resurfacing again.

"Of course!" Baran had not noticed Celia's tone either, although that was more because of his bias in her favor than any real distraction. "Lady Neith should be in the kitchens still, unless she's already finished up in there." He paused, glancing back at her mischievously. "Of course, now that I think about it... She's so busy these days with the upcoming wedding, that she's rarely in the same place for more than a few minutes at a time. She's always coming and going. I could have very easily missed her... And I'd just have to give my report later." He nodded, grinning. "Nothing to be done about it, of course."

"Of course. And you could hardly be blamed; after all, you did go looking for her,"Said Celia, her smile to match his. Normally, she more than likely would have been paranoid about getting Baran in trouble, but today...No, today she wasn't going to worry about it. What was the worst that could happen, after all? Neith would get a little angry, possibly tell them off, and then bustle about her nosy way...No, no that wasn't right, Neith wasn't nosy, she just did her job very well...Celia shook the rather peculiarly mean thought form her head, reminding herself that the older dragon really was quite nice, and probably would understand...Honestly, the Knight was even a little surprised she had managed to have such a nasty thought about such a kind person.
Celia took his hand in hers, and then pulled him down a hallway, away from the kitchens...She was going to be selfish, for once, and wanted some time with him: The report could wait. "Come on, let's go outside,"she said, not wanting to have anything to do with any part of the actual building that was the castle for a while...The gardens were just more where she wanted to be at the moment.

(lolol evil!Celia <33)
Baran grinned as he followed after her, a particularly delighted feeling spreading through him. Celia was happy again, and she wanted to spend time with him. Of course he was going to go wherever she wanted him to!
"The gardens, huh? What do you wanna do there?"

"Duno yet. Its just...Too stuffy in here!"she replied, happily tugging on his hand, even though he was already quite willingly following her. Too stuffy? This coming from the girl who spent the better portion of her total time living in the castle in its library was certainly surprising to say the least, but maybe it was just a sign that she was expanding her interests.
Soon they were outside again, in the bright, fresh and clear garden, and the Knight let go of his hand a moment, spinning around once then again before she just flopped over in the grass. Grass felt nice. It was soft, natural, something that no one had really bothered to mess with, and it was nice anyway.

"My... parents." The younger dragon finally got out a line that, hopefully, made at least some sense. Eyes wide, Micoi stared over Jett's shoulder as tears began to rise in her eyes... again. "...Mommy..." she managed to get out and then a half choked "daddy" before she had to bite her lip and pressed her eyelids shut and her face into his shoulder. This was getting old...

Baran dropped down beside her, leaning back. The grass did feel nice, as did the light breeze, and he turned to smile at Celia, happy that he was with her. "I'm glad you're feeling better," he said simply.

She looked at him only for a second as she made her nearly-silent response of "Mmmm..." Immediately after, the Knight turned her eyes skyward again. The clouds were nice today. There was a pause, and finally she spoke again, "Baran...Why do you like me?" What a strange question it was...But she had found herself asking it before she really realized it...The words just sort of slipped through her lips.
"You...don't have to answer that,"Celia added after a moment, really trying to recover it at the moment. Frankly, she didn't know how he was going to answer, really...and she wasn't sure she wanted him to try...Suddenly she felt the urge to go curl up in the library, away from everything that made her anxious...Why in heaven had she asked such a question?

"Many reasons," Baran said, his face pink as he looked away. "You're nice," he said, smiling to himself as he talked. "And pretty. You're smart and it's cute how much you like books. I like your smile and your laugh. I like... I like being the reason for them."
Baran turned his face back to hers, his gaze serious now. "I don't know what's been bothering you, but I don't want you to feel like there's no one to help you. I want to help you."

The Knight was quiet, and her face was lightly touched with a flush of red. She hadn't entirely expected him to answer at all...None the less so nicely. He was being as wonderful as she had always thought he was all at once...but she still couldn't look him in the eyes. It was such an awkward feeling...she wanted to meet his gaze...It was just hard to do for some reason.
"T...Thank you..."she didn't know why it was so hard to tell him what had been bothering her...Celia had told Micoi with almost no difficulty, it had just sort of slipped out...But after that all she had wanted to do was keep it to herself, locked away where no one else would ever hear about it or think of her differently because of it. She didn't think Baran would....Would he? "...But I'm...I'm okay..." she wondered why the stuttered words felt strange as she said them. The Knight understood that he wanted to help...So why wasn't she letting him?

"Whenever you're ready," Baran said simply, turning away to look up at the sky again. "You don't have to tell me now, but if you ever want to, I'll be there."
