1 - Asuka stood before the door of the unfamilliar okiya. Slowly she lifted her arm to ring for the people inside. As she did so, Asuka could hear noises inside the okiya, excited noises. Perhaps Asuka was going to interrupt something? Asuka shuffled her feet nervously; Who knows how she will be treated at this okiya? But before she could answer her own thoughts, the door opened. Right away Asuka bowed her head hurriedly, but politely.
"Hello, this is the Mizunoyuri Okiya? I have been sent here..." said Asuka quickly before bowing yet again.

"Oh my! You did a fine job!" Iyasu said as she clapped her hands together, "Please come and help us, my dear. It will be easier with your help." She nodded while taking out her some of her brushes and white make-up and red paint.
((Yup yup! Just as long as you've put in a number some where it can be seen and keep on posting that like that, you'll become a maiko in no time ^.^))

akino walked to the new maid standing at the doorway.
"hello. Yes you are in the Mizunoyuri okiya. Welcome. Would you like me to show you around? Oh, and i am akino by the way."

2 - "Hajimemashite, I am Ayame Asuka" said Asuka bowing to Akino. "Yes, perhaps you should show me around. I would be lost otherwise." Asuka stepped inside and waited for Akino to guide her.

Luna was silent the smile onyl slightly visible on her face as she watched Popo. 'So this will be the life for me... soon I will finally fill my mother's shoes and perhaps one day I will go back home and walk by the pond and the sakura trees knowing she is at peace...' She seemed rather lost in thought and only snapped back when Reijin spoke her name. "I am very excited indeed!"

She smiled kindly, knowing that newcommers were usually nervous and shy.  [/23] Akane looked up Kaze, "Hello" She bowed and looked back up at Kaze "I'm Akane." ~*~[3]~*~ [24] `Kaze smiled back kindly. "I am pleased to meet you." Kaze offered her a hand, glancing over to Akyio for a moment. "I'll be happy to show you around. It's not that hard." [/24] "Ok.." Akane shook her hand gently. ~*~[5]~*~ `Kaze smiled and took her young friends hand, helping her up before bowing her way out of the room. She lead her through the different rooms, explaining where the geisha sleep, where the maids and maiko sleep, where Mother rested, where to eat, and where to go for fresh air at the end of a busy day. Kaze smiled. Akane was a quick learner, though timid. [/25] Akane stayed slient as she thought of what it would be like if she bacame a geisha. " So..." akane started, "Is there anything i can do for you, Kaze-san?" [6] ` Kaze smiled again, more gently. "For me, no." she replied. "I am not a geisha, just a humble servent, just as you are." [/26]

Yokome called out to see if her little sister was around, she said, "Has anyone seen Kaida-chan around?"

akino took the new maids hand and walked her around shoing her the dining hall, the maids quarters, the geishas quarters and maikos quarters. she also showed her the garden where she could sit and relax. It will not take long to become a maiko for i am almost there. I wish you the best of luck.

Reijin sat down on a stool in Iyasu's room and opened her makeup kit. The delicately carved wooden box matched the one Luna had, with the exception of the characters carved in the center of the design, each marked with the kanji of her name. Reijin looked upon all the makeup in her kit, taken back by all the vibrant colors. She had seen the other maiko and geisha with their makeup on, but Reijin had never applied makeup herself before. She was a little intimidated, and it showed on her face.

3 - Asuka followed Akino to the various rooms; It was a comfortable place. As Asuka walked around the Okiya, she felt a sense of peace; It was as if this place had been her own home for years. The place was kept neat and clean. Asuka looked at the other maikos who were around. Asuka wondered what it would be like to be in that position. --Akino wished Asuka luck-- "Arigato, I will do my best" said Asuka with a prompt bow of her head and a smile. Asuka could only wonder what would be in store for her, and expected of her.

Reijin looked up and nodded. "Hai, Iyasu-sama," she said softly. Standing, she approached the geisha and waited for explanation.

She picked one of the flat brushes out of the four and then the a white jar filled with their porcelain looking make-up, "These brushes are dipped into this jar and it is used to spread the white make-up all around your face. As you can see they vary in size to help make the fine prongs on the napes of our neck. The puffy brushes are used in a white powder to help smooth lumps of make-up and to make it look even. The red and pink blush and lipstick is used for your lips, cheeks, brows and to line your eyes." Iyasu explained to Reijin, but also to Luna-chan. Although, Luna probably already knew what which item was used for from her mother.
"It sounds complicated, but it is very easy." She assured the girls.

Luna paused. "There is also the charcoal to use for your eyebrows and such." She didn't remember much from her mother's style since she was very little but things seemed familiar. Luna opened her own box that Iyasu had given her and looked over the contents in awe looking back up to watch Iyasu and Reijin.

Reijin took in everything that was said, nodding slowly. "I have seen girls wearing their makeup in different ways. Is there a specific way I should apply my makeup?" She looked up, curious.
