Nick Joseph Fury Quote: A secret agent (Ian Hunter) and his rude baboon attempt to foil a madman's (William T. Hicks) to resurrect Adolf Hitler. I'm ******** sold. Watching terrible, campy B-movies is something of a hobby of mine. I mean, christ, I cosplayed as the main character from The Man With The Screaming Brain (a movie where Bruce Campbell plays a rich CEO who, due to a botched transfusion, shares a brain with a Romanian cabbie and they must track down the gypsy who was responsible for their situation. Also, his wife becomes a robot.) for the first Cosplay Days. You are my hero in so many ways.

Okay, I'll have to check it out. Oh Yeah, I forgot to mention I did go see Inglorious Bastards at the Alamo Draft House (only in Texas). My Brother and I went to the Midnight showing. After the movie, we where walking out and notice a bunch of people had these base ball bats with the Bastards Logo on it. Turns out they where giving them away to the first 30 or so people (really pissed we didn't get one) but then I realized something. 1) it's 3 a.m. 2) People have been drinking. 3) People had just watched a violent film about killing Nazis. 4) they now have base ball bats. that can not be good. Tom and I though it' would be better not to find out what would happen.

I would never buy a X-Box 360. There was recent report that between the RRoD, the E-74 error, and other misc errors, that the 360 fails/bricks 54 percent of the time. Even tho Sony has been acting like huge dicks since before the PS3 launch, I'll be getting a PS3 Slim.
Also...saw Green Lantern today and enjoyed it. I liked Wonder Woman better due to the Diana/Trevor interaction and Nathan Fillion.

Oh, man. Inglorious Basterds was bloody great. A proper Tarintino flick. Haven't had one of those since Kill Bill Vol 1. Christoph Waltz deserves all the praise he's been getting, and Pitt deserves a helluva lot more.

I was one of the people who always said I'd never buy an Xbox...yet I ended up getting one anyway. The warranty plan is a must, and the powercord is a huge fricken' brick. Oh yeah, and for wireless support you gotta buy a $100 accessory.
Those really are my only complaints with it. Sony's PS3 suffered from what all of Sony's early launched systems did, which was a lack of software. I love the fact that you can disconnect the hard drive before you send it in for service (I've sent mine once, for some weird a** DVD error I had), since with the WII you can't do that (not sure about PS3). sad My Wii's SD card slot is busted, and there's no way I'm sending it in if it would erase all the Nintendo data (Nintendo authored games like Mario Kart and Smash are not allowed to be copied off the Wii's inner memory... you know, basically any game you spend MANY MANY HOURS of sweat and blood unlocking crap before its ready to play with guests!).
I both love/hate the GamerTag system, but its nice to be able to get and send MSN messages while signed in.
I will probably buy a PS3 once FFXIII is out... whee But I kinda do like my game brick.
I saw GL:First Flight a few days ago and loved it. smile I think I might even like it more than Wonder Woman, since it really did a good job of showing us Hal, and telling a very good story on the space side of things. I liked seeing Lanterns from like.. all over, even more recent corps members like Princess Iolande. Plenty of old lanterns are featured too, including Ch'p, Boodikka, Arisia, Tomar-Re, Katma Tui, Salaak.....@____@ and many, many, more. Kilowog's character design was amazing-- especially compared to how we had seen him previously in the Timmverse.
Oh, and Sinestro was awesome. wink It's not 100% faithful and often has changes simply for the sake of good storytelling. So, forgivable. Also, like WW, they rack up a pretty big death count.
The fight scenes were pretty sweet. Hal's light constructs always looked awesome (even if sometimes campy), and when he's trading blows with Sinestro made for a pretty light show, too. :O Shiny!
I would have personally liked to have seen more of Carol, and of the Earth side of things (uhh did Tom Kalmaku even have a speaking line??), but I don't think it hurt the story any to not feature a love interest. X) This is really about Hal's first relationship with the Corps, and with Sinestro. "Training Day" in space, basically. X) X) X)
I dream of an entire Green Lantern animated series still! If anything, this movie just helps to reaffirm that. ::keeps on dreamin'::
