It broke GoldenSong's heart and probably some of my other friends' too but it had to be done. I don't know if he listened, or even believes me. Bluepaw said as she ran out of the hollow "Your claws are long, that's going to help a lot" Bluepaw looked down the tree, she put her front paws on the bark twistedly, so the faced sideways with her paws twisted she walked down the tree all the way to the bottom "Don't hurt yourself trying!" Bluepaw called up to Serpent ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

[Serpent wached intently, trying to see EXACTLY how Bluepaw got down.] Serpentpaw has never really climbed down a tree before... she would usually just jump. [She readied herself as she prepared to get down. She tried to face sideways and walk down like Bluepaw did, but ended up twisting her paw too much. to avoid injury she let go and feel to the ground harshly on her feet with a thud.]"MEROW!"

BluePaw"If you ever wish to see me..."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Bluepaw let out a sigh of relief "This time don't twist your paws as much" Bluepaw called up to serpent, her ears twitched, she could hear a squirrel in a tree and it was heading this way, she bolted up her tree "Sure" Bluepaw said quickly, she climbed down the tree again, making sure her paw-steps were obvious then she bolted up again "Is that good?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

[Serpentpaw nodded.] "Dont worry, Serpent will be fine. Jumping is how Serpent usually gets down anyway." [Serpent thought to herself] Ok, she walked down alittle sideways if Serpent can remember correctly... or did she go down backwards....hmmm. Serpent could just run down head first, but if she went too fast that could be catastrophic... [Eventually Serpentpaw decided to not take any chances and moonwalked down the tree backwards until her feet safely reached the ground.] "Did Serpent do it right??" [She yelled up to Bluepaw.]

BluePaw"If you ever wish to see me..."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Bluepaw laughed, she'd never tried walking down backwards "Serpent did just fine" Bluepaw called, she looked at the tree beside her the squirrel was sitting on a branch watching them, Bluepaw got down into a crouch and sprang at it from the tree, she was aiming higher up on the branch though. By the time she had landed she was directly on top of it, she climbed down the tree with the squirrel in her mouth and placed in front of her "How did I do?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Nice! So thats how you catch them? Serpent didnt have squirrels where she came from. Ever sense Serpent got here she found them annoying and difficult, but now she knows how to deal with them!" [Serpent hopped with excitement.] "Let Serpentpaw show you how she caches birds!!" [She picked up a small pebble and slithered up the tree. She hopped from branch to branch until she was in position and could see some small birds on the ground. She dropped the pebble, startling the birds into flight. as they flew serpent pounced from the trees, snatching one out of the air and bringing it to the ground with her as she fell.]

Let me try" she said looking around for a pebble, she took one from the ground and copied Serpent, but when jumping for the bird she missed, not even able to snag it's wing, she landed on the ground with a thud "I guess that I'm still aiming away from the bird like I do with squirrels" she laughed shaking off dirt from her pelt ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

[Serpent excitedly ran up to bluepaw.] "No! You did great! Everyone has trouble aiming when they first try this technique! You will get it the next time though!" [She passed her another pebble.] "Besides.. you are great at caching squirrels, serpent has a hard time chasing them down, even if serpent is swift in the trees."
