Luo sighed nodding a bit, shaking his head as he smiled. "Yes, you may go with him, just make sure you return with all of those jutsu learned. It seems Matsuya despite his rough exterior, doesn't enjoy the notion of traveling alone, or rather without one of his old teammates. It's a tough transition between chuunin and jounin. But I'll allow it."

Matsuya walked up the stairs of the tower again. This time he was in his normal uniform: the bandages and his jacket. He entered the office and looked at Luo. "Sir. I was wondering, since this is a training mission of mine, if it would be possible for me to take the scrolls for our swordstyle, our half of the Infintie One swordstyle, and the jounin level scrolls for my current elements. I could train in them while I'm looking for a tutor. And I can come back better than I was." Matsuya had no fear in asking. But as everyone knew, he hated to be denied. It started his temper.

Luo paused for a moment before speaking. "I will allow you to take the jounin scrolls of your elements, but nothing more. If you somehow ended up without the scrolls for our villages sword style, you have no idea the problems that would cause for the mist. Our taijutsu stays within our village. And when did you decide you would take up the infinite one style?" Luo waited for what he was sure to come next. He was also sure that he wouldn't enjoy it.

Matsuya bit his lip as his stomach flared. "When your predecesor told me about it. The so called 'Demon of the Mist'." Matsuya hated that name to its farthest depthes. Only one person had rightfully earned it in his mind. Now someone else had taken as their mantle. But there were more reasons for Matsuya wanting to learn the new style. But he knew Luo wouldnt of liked any of them. He bit his lip again, trying to contain his temper, which he knew Luo hated. Him and everybody else who's ever tryed to tame me. Matsuya knew the thought was correct, his temper had almost been his undoing in to many situations.

Luo's face did not change as he looked up at Matsuya, but he could tell by the tense facial expressions that he was holding back his usual temper. He made no comment about what he said about Zane's nickname, as Luo usually made the connection to the name to the late Momochi. But Zane had not chosen his name, it was given to him by the people, believing his fighting nature to be a resurrection of the demon's spirit. "That's not the reason you wish to learn. Otherwise, you would have asked for the scroll the first time you heard of it. What is your intention for learning the style Matsuya?" As he spoke, his eyes seemed to look straight through Matsuya's. The boy's words harbored a hint of a hidden agenda.

Matsuya's eyes shifted from Luo's. Matsuya couldnt keep eye contact with someone accusing him of something. "I want to learn more to keep those I care about safe. To be able to serve the village with the peak of my abilities. I want.........I want to serve for that which they could not. I want to change the outlook people have about those who serve under them. I hate seeing military forces with mindless soilders who have no reason to fight other than thay they are ordered to. That's why I hate the basis of puppets as well. Creatures created for no other reason then to fight, die, and be forgotten." Matsuya pulled the collar of his black cloak up around his mouth, to muffle what he was going to say next. "I want to kill those who think that way. I live by example, as you probably know. But no matter how hard I push myself to try, I cant live as Zabuza did. I cant use people like puppets. That's why." A single tear made its way down Matsuya's cheek. Something rarely seen from "the Storm of the Mist". He hated dictatorships that the principles of the shinobi way were founded on. He simply hated it.

Luo sighed a bit as he looked at Matsuya. "Matsuya, if are not going to be honest with me, then there's no point in asking. One who averts their eyes from a person who directs a question from them is usually lying. Furthermore Matsuya, I have reason to believe that you asked Ayame to accompany you for more reasons than just companionship. Let me make this clear to you Matsuya. If I find out you have killed, or even attempted to kill any shinobi without my consent, I will see to it that your training ends with that action, and that goes for you as well Ayame. I will not have my own shinobi attempting to go behind my back." Luo figured he was either right, or wrong, and would be able to tell by Matsuya's next response. The tear, although admirable, was a bit much, especially for Matsuya. It was what made Luo suspect the boy even more of an ulterior motive.

"I wont.If they attack though, without hearing us out, I wont hold back."She said."I wont enter those gates until I have learned at least over half of those jutsu Mizukage Luo."She said. She meant it too.She wouldnt enter without at least most of those jutsu down. She walked to the door and whistled watching as Ikaru came out from the way of Nikko's and walked lazily up the steps."Like I said he will stay here in case of emergency."She said again.

Matsuya's breathing got heavier and longer. "You think I'm lying again!? I got over that part of myself when I was promoted! I have no reason to lie to someone who I trust, or think I do." His eyes shot straight to Luo's. His eyes were filled with anger, but a little red. "Look me in the eye and say that the thing we call a shinobi code sint a dictatorship! Say it! That's why I want to get stronger, so that in time I can change that!" Matsuya's hand moved, removing the cloak. The kunais attached to Hocho's strap glinted as he did. "I have devoted myself to serving something which I do not agree with! I, to the deepest part of my being, hate the code. I hate the fact that we are puppets. We are simply tools used in other people's mindless skirmishes. And for what?! So that we break, as all tools do?! But there is no repair for a human life. Not yet. Even in the age we live in, there has been no cure found for death! No cure for war! No cure for hate! No cure for any of the evils of this world!" Matsuya's arms started to contract and relax on their own. The first stage of his powers were awakining. "I hate it!!" His voice was louder than it had been in many people's knowledge. He had only ever yelled at Blade and Zane like this, no one else.

Luo's hands hit his bamboo desk hard, as the hollow poles echoed the noise as he stood. His voice was raised, but ever so slightly, and only in this instance did Luo truly become angry. "And you think I don't know these things Matsuya? One does not enter this position without prior knowledge of what it means to be a shinobi. One does not enter this profession without knowing what it means to be a shinobi. Do you think I wanted this position Matsuya? To toss people into battles like pawns in a game of chess? Why do you think I, the pride of the mist went missing for a year? I never asked for this position, and I never asked to tell you what to do. The reforms I'm making to the code of our country, are to benefit you. The one who must enter the battlefield and spill the blood of fellow human beings. Do not wave words at me as if I know nothing of them, because this has been my life longer than it has been yours. My contempt for the laws of the shinobi runs deeper than the root of the tree of life in the grass village."

Luo's voice by this point had raised to the extent of a man calling out to a friend down the road, his anger rising the first time in ages. "If I am to change the way things are done, then you are to respect me enough to follow my orders for now, and to assume that I am not some idiot who is just now learning of shinobi code! If I were to use my own shinobi as tools, I would have thrown the tool which serves to cut my hand time and time again long ago Matsuya, and that is your tongue! So until you find yourself dispatched to an unknown village with nothing but three nights worth of food, a pat on the back from your Kage, and return home with only twenty-three of seventy-five men dispatched, don't EVER speak to me as if I have not seen the perils of war first hand."

The room was silent for a moment. Luo sat down, and closed his eyes, regaining his composure. He muttered to the pair in front of him as he stood up and placed his left leg on the window sill, "I will gather the scrolls for your departure now. If you want the scroll for infinite one, ask the Hokage if you can obtain a copy and inform her I sent you to do so. At least if something happens to that one, it is not my problem. I'll meet you two at the docks." With that, The clone jumped out of the window, his robes ruffling as he landed gently on the ground below. He was not angered so easily, but Luo hated the way things were done as much as Matsuya did. He simply didn't yell his opinions at people.

Exit.

Ayame sighed and closed her eyes."Matsuya calm down.Arguing and yelling at Luo will do nothing for you."She said."Just tell Luo what it is you want to tell him and what he wants to know.Im sure that would be easier than yelling at him."She said.Even she wasnt a big fan of yelling.Ikaru sighed and growled. It wasnt threatening. He just wanted them to quit. She opened her eyes and watched as Luo jumped down and walked away. She made a clone.

Matsuya bit his lip to the point that blood fell from it. "Ayame, do not follow me. I'm going to go take my anger out where you cant see it. Somewhere I can be alone. Tell Luo I'll be by shortly." He grabbed his cloak and stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him. He walked down the streets of the village, heading for the praire.

'So bored...' Reiniku's clone grimaced from the window sill that it sat ever so silently at. The clone had been there for a good deal of the day, simply taking a bit of time for itself as it listened to the voices within the room. It hadn't surprised the clone much when he remained undetected, he had been the onin commander for a great deal of time now. What did surprise him though was the sudden outburst of voices within the room! Keeping true to his title as a stealth shinobi, Rein's clone had more than enough time to hide himself in the shadows beneath the sill when Luo had jumped out.

As he silently pulled himself back onto the sill, Reiniku couldn't help but to think to himself. 'Maybe if I had stayed...Luo and Matsuya would be happy right now...' Silently sighing in a saddened tone as he hung his head, Rein closed his eyes in an attempt to hide the emotion they may have reflected. 'And maybe Zane would still be around......I'm so....Stupid...'

(Just going by the fact that Rein hasn't been removed as the Onnin commander from the list...)

Requiem of Remorse
