*Mi, where are you?* Micha looked up, putting the last of her food in her mouth, when she heard Laurel's voice in her head. *Hey! You're awake! I'm in the dining hall. Want me to bring you some food?* *Yes, please.* *'Kay. I'll come find you in a couple of minutes.* Micha swallowed the last of her food, and took her pill, then picked up her purse, swung it over one shoulder, and went over to one of the food machines. She ordered a Pop-Tart for Laurel, wrapped it in a napkin and headed for the door of the dining hall. Then she stopped suddenly, smacking her head. "I forgot to ask her where she is!" She groaned, and reached out for her sister's mind. The training hall? Great, we can practice once Lor's done eating! I hope she doesn't mind, but I wanna get better while we're here. She set out again, skipping and smiling happily.

Souno was floating in blackness, and ingulfed in pain. Suddenly a green light enveloped his mind. Soothing him and easing the pain slowly from the outside in. The tension on his chest slowly relieved itself as the green light slowly brightened and then consumed his vision as his eyes opened.

He was staring at the cieling of the dining hall and a concerned girl sat next to him. I know her... His mind suddenly snapped back to a time in the hospital. Tchai had been there, and so had she. A small smile crossed his face as he looked up at her, "Hi...I suppose I owe you my thanks?" He slowly began to sit up.

Rille smiled at him, looking relieved. I was starting to worry there was something else wrong with him. "No, not really," she said softly. "All I did was speed up what your body would've done on its own." She watched him carefully as he sat up, and added "Are you alright now? Um..." She looked down, embarassed. "I'm sure I've met you before, but...I can't remember your name. Sorry." She leaned back in her chair, sighing softly, and closed her eyes for a moment. She was starting to get a headache, probably a reaction to burning up the last of her medicine. That was stupid. I'm going to have to do something about that...well, I'll go get some tea in a minute. That should help. Just as soon as my legs work again...

Souno smiled, "I'm in the same boat," he said as he extended his hand, "Souno Stanton, what's your name?" He sighed and stood up as he felt a wave of weakness wash over him and he grabbed the edge of a nearby table, "I'm gonna go get some food, do you want anything?"
He noticed how weak she looked and felt a pang of concern.
I hope she's ok....
His mind wandered back to the last moments before his world had gone black.
Tchai...where is he?
Souno's eyes swept the spot where their overturned table lay on its side, Tchai wasn't there.
I'll need to find him, something's up...

"Rille Magrena," Rille said with a smile, taking his outstreched hand and shaking it for a moment. When he stood up, she gave him a worried look, and started to stand. She sat back down quickly when he caught himself on the table, and said softly "Maybe you should rest for a moment first? That healing took as much out of you as it did from me." When she heard his question, she smiled gratefully, and added "Nothing to eat, but a cup of tea would be wonderful. Thank you." She gave him a worried look, hoping he would take her advice and rest for a little longer. He looks about how I feel right now. Darn it, I hate this! I hate not being able to even heal a burn without paying this much for it! She clenched one hand into a fist, sighing softly. I'm going to have to do something about this. Soon.

Souno smiled and stood back up, slowly rubbing his still tender chest.
"I'm really sorry that you had to risk so much on my behalf," He said as he cocked his head to the side and smiled, "I'll be right back with that tea." He turned around and walked back to the machines.
He swipped his card and simply said, "Coffee, black and some Green Tea."

A black mug of coffee appeared next to a small steaming tea cup on top of a dainty plate. It had a victorian sense about it that made Souno smile, "Oh, it's so cliche..." He picked it up and took it back to Rille and set it down next to her. He inserted one finger into the hot coffee and chilled it slightly before taking a sip and sighing to himself.
"I suppose I have to go do something about that damn brother of mine."
He shook his head, thinking of Tchai. Something had happened to him when he was in that fire, and Souno was going to get to the bottom of it. He needed to resolve that much, even if it took beating his brother to a bloody pulp.

Rille took a sip of the hot tea, and smiled happily. "Perfect. And really, it's no problem. It's silly to have a gift like healing and not use it when someone needs it. Um." Her hair had fallen in her face when she started to drink, and she pushed it back, tying it in a knot at her neck to keep it out of her way. She looked at Souno for a moment before she continued. "Your brother...he looked really upset when I got here. Honestly, I'm just as worried about him as I was about you." She frowned for a moment, then added "Erm...is he...alright in the head?" She tapped the side of her own head as she spoke, for emphasis. "He sounded...a little out of it. I was trying to get him to give me permission to heal you," she explained. "He wasn't very coherent." She looked down at her cup of tea, embarassed. I shouldn't have even brought it up...probably he was just upset.

She watched him eat, giggling some. He seemed so fascinated and curious about his soup that she couldn't help find him funny at the time. "You didn't think it would be?" she asked, smiling but shaking her head in the barest amount she could. She put a hand on his shoulder and rubbed it a little, very much entertained by his entertainment with his food. Dropping her hand, she began to consume her soup again, blowing air on it every once in awhile so she wouldn't burn her tongue on it. It was a knowledge she had quickly learned in her childhood. It wasn't a difficult soup to consume, even with some of the worse, throat constricting illnesses, and she never seemed to tire of it. So, naturally, she was quite at ease with her own choice.

Souno took a deep breath and sighed, letting his shoulders slump in despair.
"I don't know...this is the first time I've seen him since he was in the hospital...and I think he's lost control of his powers..." He took a shaky breath, "He tried to kill me..."
Souno bit his lip and looked up at Rille, "I don't know where he went, but I've got to go after him. He's my brother and I can't just let him leave this place without at least saying good bye. The only thing I'm afraid of is that he will try to fight me and I will have to hurt him." Souno took a sip from his coffee and looked up at the cieling.
Where are you Tchai...

Rille nodded. "Well, that clears things up a bit," she said softly. "So, I only have one more question. What are you doing sitting here? If it were my brother, I'd be going after him already." Not that I have a brother...and from what I've seen, I think that's not a bad thing. Are all brothers like this? Between Halcón and this guy, I'm starting to wonder. She wrapped her fingers around her cup of tea, and took another sip. The tea had cooled enough that she could drink it without burning herself, and she smiled as the warmth started to ease her headache. She sat up a little straighter in her chair. Much, much better. Maybe I should give up on healing and just give tea to everyone.

Souno looked up at Rille and smiled a knowing smile, "I understand, it's just that...I don't know...I want him to get some time alone before I go after him." He drained the last of his coffee and set down the mug before standing up, "I should probably go after him now though, thank you so much Rille. I promise I'll pay you back some day." He leaned forward and grasped her shoulder, looking into her eyes and smiling before letting go and walking out the door and into the autumn day.

"You don't..." Rille began, then stopped when he started to walk away. Oh well...that was interesting. I hope those two are okay. She sighed softly, leaning back in her chair and closing her eyes.
Halcón decided it was about time he caught up with Rille again. Maybe this time she'll listen to me. He had followed her to the dining hall, and now he went inside. He spotted Rille almost immediately, and frowned. Walking quickly over to her, he put one hand on her shoulder and said "Rille, are you alright? You look half dead."
Rille's eyes flew open, and she jumped backwards in her chair. "I'm going to be all the way dead if you scare me like that again." Oh god. I'm exhausted and I do not feel good. I don't need this now.
Halcón looked down at the ground, pretending to be appoligetic. "I'm sorry. I thought you heard me come up." He sat next to her, staring at her piercingly. "What happened to you?"
Rille sighed. "Too much to explain right now. Go away, Halcón, I'm exhausted."

Souno reached forward with his free arm and pulled open the door, yet again letting the cold air push him in. Over his left shoulders was slung the unconcious body of his brother. He walked forward as the door slammed shut to prevent it from hitting Tchai's head. With one fluid movement he slung him off of his shoulder and cradled him in his arms, Tchai's head resting on Souno's shoulder. Souno saw another man with Rille, so he didn't go directly to her. He walked over to a nearby table that was long enough to stretch Tchai out on it and lay him there.

He walked up to the machine and swipped his card,
"Some soup and a ham sandwich."
The food appeared and he picked it up, brining it to his brother. He gently picked up the spoon and ladled a bit of soup into it. He blew on it for a second before proping up his brother's head and gently feeding it to him.
Please be ok Tchai...

Halcón ignored Rille's protest, and said urgently "Look, Rille. I'm sorry you're tired, but I need your help. Dad's decided that if I can't convince Ananda to come home, he's going to send some hit-man friend of his to..." He trailed off, looking at Rille.
Rille was clenching her fists. "What part of 'I'm not going to get involved in this' didn't you get last night?" Her voice was tight and angry. "I'm sure Ananda can take care of herself. I'm not going to talk to her for you, and I'm not going to get in the middle of a fight over her. Now, would you please go away?"
Halcón shook his head firmly. "No. Look...would you at least ask her to listen to me? She won't even talk to me," he said sadly. "Rille, this is my baby sister we're talking about. I'm just trying to protect her."
Rille groaned. "Nan isn't a baby anymore. Seen her fight lately?" She turned away from him, and noticed that Souno had come back. Oh...good, he found his brother. Poor guy doesn't look so good, though. Well, if he'd wanted my help, he'd ask. Still...maybe I'll go over there once I get rid of my darling cousin.
