Ceon, amazed by the fireshow, carefully handed the phone to Layna. He didn't understand why the tainted was trying to distract them, but he did know that he wouldn't give up the phone to the tainted or the mortal.

Layna took the phone from him, holding it tightly. She was eying the pipe warily. That would hurt if it hit. And she really didn't want it to hit at all. She backed away from the Fireslinger, but kept him in her sights. This was proving more dangerous than she first thought.

As the phone left his hand, he sprung his hand into his other coat pocket and flung out to 9mm's, fully loaded and cocked. He pulled out a small vial of water and took out the clips, dripping a tranquil few drops on each bullet, then loaded them back in. Ceon held his guns tightly at his side, his eyes locked on the fireslinger.

The boy stopped his advancing with a shuddering halt and tilted his head. He really didn't look like his eyes were seeing anything but they were, he was seeing the voice of the angel. "The darkness is absolute. Only the deeper dark can draw you away. Let those feel your pain and rejoice at your freedom. With wings of shadows we shall rise above the oppressors..." Danial mouthed each word in almost complete silence before focusing on the girl. "I asked as was given." he said in his grating tone of an unused voice. "Now the angel wishes for your pain." A gleam of utter insanity set into his eyes as the fragments of his soul fell. Shooting forward with inhuman speed he swung the pipe down wildly just barely missing the girl and splintering the planks of the dock under its force.

Ceon's eyes grew wide as the mortal ran passed him at that speed. When the pipe smashed the planks, Ceon dashed to Layna, holding her tight as he fired several rounds at the mortal's head. "Never touch my mate you son of a b***h!!!"

As this was happening a flash went across the girls neck, the necklace on her cut off falling to the ground. Before it had gone two inches down another flash went across the barrel of Ceon's gun stopping the slide form going back all the way.
"To slow just like all the others." Daiguren saying as a dagger held the slide out of place the hell blade being sent into a portal in space with his other hand. "You people presume to much." pushing down on the gun, his other hand still in the portal.

An invisible force drew around the docks, it couldn't be seen but it could be felt. The air felt cold and heavy as the tendrils of shadow wrapped around the knife wielding tainted.
"You are disrupting my ritual young one." came the ancient voice to reach his ears only. The entity was ancient and strong, a shadow of itself but still with immense power from Hell.
Danial shifted slightly from the attack and dodged each bullet barely. He turned his neck, drooling and snarling in madness. The angel was with him. Nothing could stop him now, he was invincible.

"Listen tainted, we want no trouble from you if you aren't the one causing all of this." in Ceon's mind, he was praying a prayer of protection for Layna. He didn't want anything to happen to the love of his life, and he would do everything in his power to keep Layna safe. As the prayer scrolled through his mind, a faint light started to emulate from the cross that now rested on the ground.

Layna backed away quickly, startled by the flash. She stared at the Tainted who had cut the chain from her neck, and then down at the cross. Her heart told her to go after it, to pick it up and keep it safe from being broken. The hair on her arms stood on end at the insanity that came from the mortal teen. And for some reason made her fearful. She watched the damage be done to where only moments ago stood. She backed away continuously, holding tight to the phone that seemed to be the mortal's target. He wanted it badly, and she knew it. But what ritual was the voice talking about..? This was becoming more and more dangerous, and confusing.
"Is this what you want?" She said, her voice low. She held out the phone slightly toward the human, and then moved it toward the water.

Hearing the voice from the man he replies in a similar fashion, "There not a tare large enough for you come through and if you do manage to make it hear, you'll only be part of what you are now."
Looking toward Ceon with a grin. "I'm just tired of waiting for you people to make your move so i'm making mine." His hand began to emerge from the rip but this time in his grip was a spear made a dark metallic looking material jumping back leaving the dagger in the slide of his gun and pulling the rest of the spear out at the same time. He set one of it's ends on the planks of the dock standing back.
"Do as you will"

"I'll be glad to." said Ceon as he started to turn, his features turning to a lycan's. He moved his head from side to side, cracking his neck. In one swift movement Ceon had leaped across half of the gap between the tainted and himself, snarling and stretching out his massive claws.

"Foolish child." the voice snarled to him. The aura within the air grew to an almost unbearable weight around him. "I am here for nigh two hundred centuries. I am trying to get back. If you interfere in any way then I shall make sure that you know thirteen eternities worth of torment."
The thing that had been Danial shifted slightly before screaming wildly and launching at the girl again swinging the heavy piece of metal. He needed her pain, that was all.

Layna let out a yell, her grey eyes wide with panicked fear. That pipe would cause a lot of damage if it hit her. She had to avoid it. She felt the pipe slice through the air where her arm had been only mere seconds ago. She shivered, moving backwards. She continued to move away. Just keep moving, she told herself. She dropped the phone. If it was costing her, her life, she would smash it. But no. Not now. She couldn't think clearly. She was always frightened so easily, which she knew was a weakness.

Danial's eyes rolled back in his head as he snapped his teeth wildly before tugging the pipe out of the splintered dock. "YOU NEED TO FEEL THE PAIN!" he shrieked pointing at her. "THE PAIN WILL CLEANSE THE WORLD!" Foaming at the mouth he crushed the phone underfoot as he lunged and swung at the girls legs

Layna let her instincts do the work. She felt her weight shift, avoiding the pipe. But it was not enough to avoid the hole that had been made. She cursed herself, wishing she were bigger, perhaps she would have avoided it. She fell forward, nearly falling on her face, but her hands braced her, chafing in the frost. She moved quickly, but her movements were pained. She felt her ankle sting for a moment, before it healed the twist. She glared at the mortal, before snarling. "What the hell do you want from me?!"
