All I can say is that this is a historical moment, no matter who you support. An african-american was chosen for president. Now that's something to smile about!

A/N: I went out trick-o-treating with my boyfriend, my best friend and my boyfriend's little brother. I got sick later and my shoe broke. sad

I was babysitting on Halloween... the kids had gone trick and treating, and were on a sugar high >.<

The six year old threw a tantrum, and he managed to bash his skull into my cheekbone. And it still hurts!

However, other than sugar-high children and Gaia, I didn't even notice that there was Halloween. We didn't have a single trick or treat at our door! Nor were there any candy in the house.

Para, you are so right. I was getting chills as I voted, as I heard the turnout from our country, and especially as I listened to President-elect Obama's stirring speech and Sen. McCain's gracious concession. What an amazing day!

Hope your cheek is feeling better Kitsune!

I spent Halloween traveling, which was fun. Lots of folks were in costume; one of our flight attendants had a really clever pirate costume. She wore a shirt that from 2 feet away or farther made her arms look like they had lots of tattoos! I asked her where from and she said Target.

We don't get trick or treaters at my home as I live in an apartment complex which is gated and locked. But we had tons of candy - at the hotel, each wedding guest got a cowboy hat in their hotel room stuffed with the bride and groom's favorite candies: gummy bears (they call each other honey bear and sugar bear), heath bars, and chocolate!

Our whole family are HP Fanatics, and the wedding was tons of fun! I caught the bridal bouquet. Actually, the first toss richocoted off the chandelier, so my cousin did a second toss - which bonked me in my forehead. I picked it off the floor to hand it back for a third toss and she said I got it fair and square! Guess it was meant to be!

I love that the personas are staying! Last year they made an announcement that you could stay a vampire or turn human and you'd have a choice just for a short time, there was no switching back and forth. Then Gaia came out a few months ago with a vampire potion to turn you back if you wanted. But there is no dark elf potion, at least not yet. So I think I'll stay an elf for a while - love the Ravenclaw blue!

By the way, y'all know if you want to turn back to human, the Skin Tyte store sells potions for 100g (in about 5 human shades of colors). The potions are inflated in the marketplace 2x to 5x the retail price, so this is a time where the store has a better price.

Any way, I'm off to tabulate more Halloween prizes!
Hope every one had fun!

I am actually pretty happy with the outcome with the US elections. After all, the USA was always the 'leading country' in the world so any change in its politics, economy or whatever influences other countries and people who live there. That is me too. Well, I was rather after Obama than McCain... and it is a great day in our history when an african-american was chosen for president. Bearing in mind the Civil War it is really a great moment... I wish he'll be a good president.

Well, as far as there's no Halloween in my country, I still bought myself lots of sweets on that day just to feel better about everything. xD Sadly, we had no pumpkin this year. My grandpa passed away just a few days before the Halloween so we weren't really in a mood for anything... We're actually better right now.

About the Halloween on Gaia - did anyone got all the items? I've finished only the Dark Elf and Vampire nation. I didn't even start playing as Zombie or Human! It seems that a week was still too little time for me (so I've ended up buying some of the other nations' items in the marketplace).

Thanks LHH! I think it's great but I am sad though about the outcome of prop 8. Well it seems like you had fun at the wedding, my cousin is getting married this month so I'm a bit excited about that. I have 4 weeks until my finals! It's crazy that thanksgiving and christmas are so close.

Aww, Para-congrats to your cousin.

Finals. LOL, I'm just getting into that fun area. I waited for the spring semester and I'll be starting up in January, I'm very excited!

I know! I can hardly believe that the beloved Christmas and Thanksgiving seasons are almost here. I LOVE thanksgiving-it is such a warm and peaceful holiday-and my family comes crashing over to my parents' house to celebrate.

OH! And so all of you know....it is 12 days until WALL-E comes out. (not that I'm excited.) LOL, I'm an adult and I seriously think that is my favorite move of all time! ^_^ (ya, now you know how lame I really am, but I'm NOT taking it back!) I choose to be a kid sometimes-and that movie makes me all warm and fuzzy inside! Tee hee.

High praise indeed, Empress! I missed WALL-E in the theatre, so I'll make sure to see the DVD.

para *squees* you have a Coco! I've wanted one for ages, I keep getting distracted ! Yes, my heart hurt that prop 8 passed. (For the non-Californians, that banned gay marriages). I'm shocked and sad. So many advances, and one honoring equal rights gets overturned. I wanted to apologize to all my gay friends and say not everyone feels that way. I still don't know how it happened, but I suspect it had something to do with the wording, which was confusing and had double negatives. I had to ask an attorney friend, does a no mean for it or against it, to confirm I understood it. I hope that was the case- it's too unbelievable that people would oppose it otherwise. I don't know what's next, but I hope they continue to fight for equality.

LHH, I'm glad you had so much fun at your cousin's wedding! Para, congrats to your cousin, too!

Empress, I'm hopeful that I will be able to go see Wall-E in the dollar theater this Saturday. Yay! I'm excited.

Did you know, watching all the HP movies in reverse order is really quite fun? My friend and I came up with this idea during a sleepover, and we're watching CoS today. So fun! I completely recommend it if you haven't tried it yet.

LOL! I'm glad you guys don't think I'm COMPLETELY insane for being practically in love with that movie! (Oh by the way-it's 11 days now....not that I'm excited!!!! ^_^)

Ummm....no I cannot say that I've ever watched the Harry Potter movies backwards-I can hardly stand to watch some of them...(I'm very picky if they don't follow the book closely, and I mean EXTREMELY picky.) I hate having perfectly beautiful and wonderful books turned into movies. It's as if people are too lazy to sit down and read a book any more. However-this is just me and my OCD with books, as we all know! (It's a deadly disease, don't get too close to me or you might catch it! I'm dying with it, and I'm delighted!!)

Well, I use the term "watch" quite loosely. Mainly it was just the spark for pausing the movie and discussing ideas and story lines. ^_^ It must have taken us four and a half hours to watch the second movie. We had to bring out the book once because I pointed out a discrepancy she hadn't noticed and once just for fun to look up the exact lines. But watching the actors de-age is really quite funny.

That would be about the only reason that I could ever watch them backwards for was to de-age them. Yes, the horrible plot turns are terrible to watch, but all in all, its just entertaining. I think the hbp is going to be quite good. Is anyone excited about Twilight the movie? I am! heart I feel bad forcing my boyfriend into that movie and seeing Madagascar 2 today. It's pretty fun, you know because my boyfriend is such a macho weight lifter hiker type of guy but he loves little kids and all the girly ones, Its pretty funny.

LHH, I know! I love Coco the kitty. It took me like selling 5 alruna rose's (1st gen, when they first came out) at like 20-40k to finally get my coco. I want the other one, but alas, I don't think it will ever happen, especially, since I have no real money to buy gaia cash cards. sad

*in Peeves's singsong voice* You mentioned Twilight.

Yay! It comes out on November 21! Thirteen days from today. I'm dragging my brother to the midnight show, I'm so excited for it. I'm also dragging my friend Umi Pryde to it. I just don't know when. And my mom wants to see it too, so, if I can wrangle it, I will see it three times in theaters. *jumps up and down in excitement*

Empress, I was able to see Wall-E! It was so amazingly cute! I loved it! All I can say is "Awww."

Where did you get that panda? It is so cute. I prob will only see Twilight once, I have no time to see it that many times, esp, since my cousins wedding is one day after the premiere. Wall-e was cute, it had a good moral issue.
