He was diagnosed with lung cancer about 3 weeks ago, and it was inoperable. We've really just been waiting on it. I was a little annoyed at my Aunt Leslie, she was making him feel like he had to fight when all it was doing was hurting him.

I understand. My grandpa had severe Alzheimer's and was diagnosed with colon cancer, and non-hodgekin's lymphoma cancer, so we expected him to go pretty soon. But he escaped from his care facility, fell and broke his hip, and passed away less than a week later. You think you'll be fine when it happens, but when it actually happens it hits really hard. I'm so sorry for your loss, Mia! I empathize with you.

Wow... O.O... That's rough. And yeah, I'm ok, until I'm alone, and then all I can think about is how much I miss him. But everytime I start crying, I just want one thing, and I can't have it. Part of me is crying because I miss my Papa, and another is crying because Scottie isn't here to hold me and make me feel better.

Aww, I'm sorry! It gets easier as time passes, but it's still really hard, especially around holidays. I just have to remember that he's happier where he is now, because he isn't sick anymore.

Yeah. Luckily for me, my papa was as fond of funerals as I am, so we're having a viewing, burying him, having a drink over his grave, and leaving. I hate funerals. My dad makes me go up to see them, and then for the rest of my life when I think of them that's the first image that comes to mind. I hate it. Thanks to the way papa had it arranged, I don't have to see him.

Everybody-
I've been a bit quiet lately. Last monday I hurt my already injured back pretty badly and missed the next four days of work! crying .
Therefore, this week I've been working my bum off, I have a 10 hour in 2 days krav maga (self defense/martial arts) camp this weekend, then I have another full week of teaching lego robotics and video game design.
So I apologize for my lack of posting. I still have tons of ideas (and inspiration) for my Diagon Alley thread, and I have an idea for another thread to start as well. I should be asleep right this very moment but I've been obsessing in my mind over what to put in my new thread... it'll be a surprise, but I hope many people will find it useful.
I just wanted everyone to know that I'm alive. Sorry I'm missing the 2012 discussions in the Ravenclaw room and taking a time out from my Practice Duel. Diagon Alley should receive a nice update this weekend.

meatball: Don't worry about your duel, although for future reference, let me know personally asap whenever you're going to have to take a break, so that the duel doesn't get put on the abandoned threads.

Lets see, I haven't posted regularly for about a year or so. Maybe a little longer. It's been a long time, I'll admit.
I have been...Interesting. Things have been going down in my life, and my situation finally got so bad that I had to move in with my sister simply so I wouldn't be wandering the streets.
Romance has deserted me completely, methinks.
Still looking for a job. *shakes head* Sadly, there aren't many for my qualifications. I mean, no one is looking for an apprentice dance teacher. Just doesn't happen.
Anyway. How's life been for you? Did you change your name?
EDIT: that him is supposed to be a home.

Yeah I remember one of the last times you posted you said you were having major problems. I'm sorry, I didn't realize it was so bad.
And don't give up on romance just yet. Tends to come up when you least expect it... so actually go ahead and give up. Murphy's Law says that your soulmate will walk right through the door when you do.
And I'm supposed to be looking for a job, but... I just can't seem to do it..

*snaps fingers* Aha! That would explain why I knew I knew you, but couldn't quite recognize you. sweatdrop
Um, yeah. It was getting really bad. But now I live with my sister, **coughheadofgryffindorhousecough** and everything except romance seems to be looking up.
Eh, I've given up. There's someone I had my eye set on, and I could have SWORN he had his eye on me too. I don't hear from him for days at a time, and when he finally returns my increasingly frantic messages (Come on, if you're going to be gone for an entire week with no warning, at least tell someone, right? I was worried.) he tells me that friendship only goes so far so not to contact him again. *shrugs* I...don't really care anymore. stare
Anyways. *addresses room at large* So how's everyone been since I've been away, eh?

And I'm glad that it's better.
And I'm really sorry about that. Some guys can be total jerks. My friend Mel had a guy that she was crushing on and he was leading her on, but he said he didn't realize it. Guys can be really annoying.

Yes, we've all been there. Guys are all better locked out of anything but platonicism. Anyway.
REALLY random question: Has anyone heard from Aiden lately? I think he hasn't been on in a coupla years, but I was thinking that maybe he'd gotten a new account or something. I mean, I literally haven't heard from him in a really long time.
